Every weekend, my friends and I enjoy exploring new restaurants, asking ourselves, "Where should we go this time?" This time, we chose Pangyo House Hakdong Branch, a Korean restaurant near Nonhyeon Station, which had fantastic reviews.
As a fan of pork belly, I was particularly excited to try their cold pork belly, and after visiting, I quickly understood why it’s recommended as a lunch spot in the area. The price was reasonable, and the quality of the Korean pork belly was outstanding.
From the meat to the sides, everything was satisfying, and I felt compelled to share my experience.

1. Atmosphere of Pangyo House Hakdong Branch
The restaurant is not very large, but it utilizes space well. There are partitions for smaller groups and large tables for group gatherings, making it a good spot for company dinners.
Many office workers seem to visit for meetings, which is likely why it’s consistently recommended for Korean cuisine.
The self-service bar was impressive, with fresh vegetables and kimchi available for customers to help themselves, enhancing the overall experience.
2. Signature Dish: Cold Pork Belly
The star of our meal was undoubtedly the cold pork belly. The generous portion of 500g of pork belly and 100g of skin was both satisfying and well-priced.
The meat was fresh and odorless, and as soon as it hit the grill, it released a delightful aroma that stimulated our appetites. The crispy yet moist texture was perfectly balanced, and the rich flavor of the pork was enjoyable even without any seasoning.
3. The Allure of Crispy Pork Skin
After finishing the meat, we slowly grilled the pork skin over low heat, which was a hidden gem. The outer layer was crispy while the inside had a chewy texture, making it quite remarkable.
4. Rich Flavor of Doenjang Jjigae
The most impressive side dish was the doenjang jjigae, which had a deep and rich flavor, far superior to typical stews found in meat restaurants.
5. Mini Steamed Eggs & Beef Tartare Service
The mini steamed eggs exceeded my expectations. Although labeled as mini, the portion was generous, and the addition of vegetables made it not only soft but also flavorful.
Overall, Pangyo House Hakdong Branch was a satisfying experience in terms of taste, quality, and atmosphere. If you enjoy pork belly, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
