Delicious Japanese Cuisine at Mimi Dong near Samsung Station
511, Samsung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

After a long time, our team had a lunch gathering.
We visited Mimi Dong, a renowned lunch spot near Samsung Station.
It's a great Japanese restaurant for team gatherings.
I had heard a lot about it from colleagues, so I was eager to visit.
With excitement, I finally went there.

1. Directions & Location
Address: 511, Samsung-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Basement 1, Icon Samsung, Room 2
Business Hours: Daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a break from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
It's about a 3-minute walk from Samsung Station.
The restaurant is located on the main road and has parking available, making it easy to find and access.
You can go down the stairs on the left and enter the building to find the restaurant.
The exterior has a modern and clean atmosphere, which I really liked.
The name "Mimi Dong" means a space to share delicious food, which gives a warm feeling.
2. Interior Atmosphere
Inside, Mimi Dong has a classic yet modern vibe with spacious and tidy seating.
I feel more at ease in a place with white-toned interiors, as it seems cleaner.
The seating arrangement is diverse, making it suitable for groups without feeling cramped.
We had made a reservation in advance and were given a private table.
Even though it was early, the place was bustling with people, indicating its popularity as a lunch spot.
There was a variety of alcoholic beverages displayed, perfect for gatherings.
From Ebisu beer to various highballs and dozens of sake types, the selection was impressive.
3. Fresh Menu at Mimi Dong
The menu was clean and easy to read, with intuitive images and descriptions.
It clearly showed how the dishes are served, eliminating any confusion about what to order.
In the evening, set menus are available, which combine meals and snacks, making it ideal for dinner gatherings.
We ordered four types: Special Kaisendon, Special Uni Don, Unagi Don, and Steak Don.
They also offer a free lunch udon with a review on Naver receipts, which is a nice perk.
Mimi Dong's Special Kaisendon (42,000 won)
This dish includes uni, salmon roe, eel, and tuna belly, in addition to the regular kaisendon.
Compared to other Japanese restaurants, the quantity and variety of seafood were abundant, providing rich textures and flavors.
The combination of flounder, uni, and salmon roe was delightful, with the flavors and textures complementing each other.
The uni was fresh and beautifully presented, making it great for social media posts.
Uni's rich flavor paired well with the sweet scallops and salty salmon roe, creating a delicious dish.
Unagi Don (28,000 won)
The unagi was generously served and beautifully arranged, living up to its reputation as a lunch spot.
It was tender and grilled to perfection, with a sweet and savory sauce that complemented the unagi's natural flavor.
The balance of rice, toppings, and sauce made every bite enjoyable.
Steak Don (28,000 won)
For those in our team who cannot eat seafood, the steak don provided a great alternative.
The quality of the meat was excellent, juicy, and well-cooked.
Overall, Mimi Dong is an excellent choice for Japanese cuisine near Samsung Station, especially for team gatherings.
I look forward to returning for dinner with colleagues after our satisfying lunch.
