Delicious Grilled Hairtail in Jeju: A Culinary Experience

During a walk along the Han-dam Coastal Trail,
I enjoyed the stunning ocean view.
I stopped by a renowned hairtail stew restaurant in Jeju,
where I had a hearty meal.
Having visited before and enjoyed the food,
I returned with fond memories,
and I thought it was a great decision to come back!
The beautiful view, delicious taste,
and excellent value for money made me very satisfied.
The best place for hairtail stew in Jeju is here.
Let me introduce it in detail ❤️

1. The Restaurant: Galchi Bada in Aewol, Jeju
The place I visited is Galchi Bada,
a specialized hairtail restaurant located about 25 minutes from the airport in Aewol.
It is situated right at the entrance of the Han-dam Coastal Trail,
making it easy to find.
For those driving, entering the address into your navigation system will lead you directly to the parking lot.
After parking in the spacious lot, I headed inside the restaurant.
Note that parking is free for the first hour,
but you must register your vehicle's last four digits at the counter.
✔ Address: 15-1 Aewol-ro, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si
✔ Operating Hours: Daily from 10 AM to 9:30 PM (last orders at 8:30 PM)
✔ Reservations: Available for groups and families
2. Stunning Ocean View
Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed and guided to my table.
With each step, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking sea view.
The gradient of colors in the water was so beautiful,
it felt like a painting come to life.
The unreal ocean view left me in awe,
making it a perfect spot for photos.
3. Great Value Set Menu
The menu featured a single set,
which included grilled hairtail, abalone seaweed soup, grilled abalone,
and seaweed rice.
We ordered the two-person set,
which cost 79,000 won, and the food arrived in less than 10 minutes.
Before the main dishes arrived, they served us side dishes:
spicy squid, stir-fried fish cake, kimchi, and macaroni salad.
The stir-fried fish cake was particularly delicious,
and it whetted my appetite.
4. The Hairtail Dish
Shortly after, the hairtail stew arrived,
featuring tender hairtail and a whole octopus.
The octopus was easy to cut and dipped in the sauce,
while the hairtail was perfectly filleted, making it easy to serve.
The flavor was rich and savory,
especially when mixed with the vegetables in the stew.
5. Well-Prepared Side Dishes
The grilled abalone was buttery and delicious,
and the seaweed soup was nourishing and revitalizing.
This meal was a wonderful experience,
and if you plan to visit Aewol,
make sure to stop by this restaurant for a warm meal.
