Hello, this is Bbovelyne! After checking out, we decided to visit Naksan Ghost Whale around 11 AM for a late breakfast/early lunch. On the way, I saw a review mentioning that they often run out of ingredients quickly, so I called ahead... but at 11:30 AM, they were already sold out! I really wanted to go there, and now I want to go even more... I'll definitely have to try it next time! ㅠㅠㅠ So, we visited Baramkkot Haenyeo Village, which happened to be right next door! Hehe.

We enjoyed the fresh abalone hot pot and abalone stone pot bibimbap. It was nice that abalone porridge and seaweed soup were provided separately! The portion size was perfect for Bbovely, who doesn't eat much, so she ordered squid sundae instead. Haha! I thought 25,000 won for squid sundae at Gwangju Bitgoeul Restaurant was a bit much ㅋㅋㅋ At Baramkkot Haenyeo Village, it was only 16,000 won!!!

Bright Future

Naksan Ghost Whale, a popular restaurant near Yangyang Sol Beach, is famous for its seaweed soup sets. This Yangyang hot spot serves a table full of 11 side dishes (grilled fish + pork kimchi stew + 9 seasonal side dishes) made with fresh seafood and seasonal ingredients. They open at 7 AM, making it a great place for breakfast, but as I mentioned earlier, they run out of ingredients quickly, so you might not be able to eat lunch if you're not fast enough.

Happy Moment

To ease my disappointment, I'll console myself with the food photos provided by the restaurant... I could have eaten there if I had hurried a little more ㅠㅠ

Baramkkot Haenyeo Village

Hours: 08:30 AM - 6:50 PM

*Closed every Wednesday

*They run out of ingredients quickly, so please call before visiting for lunch!

Popular dishes: Fresh Abalone Seaweed Soup Set (19,000 won), Red Crab Seaweed Soup Set (19,000 won), Korean Beef Seaweed Soup Set (19,000 won)

Price range: From 18,000 won

Parking: Free parking (in front of the restaurant)

Location: Baramkkot Haenyeo Village, 3029-3 Donghae-daero, Yangyang-eup, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon (5 minutes from Sol Beach Yangyang)

Baramkkot Haenyeo Village, a popular restaurant near Yangyang Sol Beach, is famous for its abalone and sea urchin dishes. The abalone hot pot was a bit pricey, but it contained two abalones and a lot of fresh seafood. They also provide abalone porridge, which is a great advantage for customers with young children, as they don't have to order a separate menu for their kids and can order other side dishes instead! The side dish prices are also reasonable ㅎㅎ

Cool Picture

Exterior & Interior

The exterior and interior of the store are very clean. There are plenty of parking spaces right in front. We visited around 11:30 AM, and there was only one team waiting, but the lunch wait got longer right after we entered. While waiting, Bbovely and I commemorated our memories with abalone.

Bright Future

Menu

What we ordered: Abalone Hot Pot (25,000 won), Abalone Stone Pot Bibimbap (18,000 won), Squid Sundae (16,000 won)

Yangyang 맛집 Baramkkot Haenyeo Village offers a variety of dishes using abalone and sea urchin. I was going to order abalone porridge or seaweed soup for Bbovely, but the abalone hot pot came with mini abalone porridge, and the abalone stone pot bibimbap came with mini seaweed soup, so I ordered the squid sundae that we couldn't eat yesterday! It's made with fresh Sokcho squid and costs 16,000 won!!! Yesterday, I saw the price of 25,000 won at Gwangju Bitgoeul Restaurant and thought, 'They must not want me to eat it,' so I didn't. But here, the price is reasonable.

Cool Picture

First, the basic side dishes are served. The squid jeotgal (fermented seafood) seems to be sold separately, and it was delicious.

Then, the menu was served quickly. Abalone stone pot bibimbap, abalone hot pot, squid sundae, abalone porridge, and seaweed soup were all served.

Precious Memory

First up is the abalone stone pot bibimbap (18,000 won) that I ordered. It's topped with plenty of fresh abalone sashimi.

Happy Time

The stone pot is hot, so if you mix it well with the seasoning, the abalone cooks. If you like sashimi, you can take it out separately and eat it, or if you like it cooked, you can mix it in. I ate a few pieces as sashimi and then mixed it in. ㅎㅎ

Special Moment

It's even more delicious if you put abalone and squid jeotgal on top! ㅎㅎ

Interesting Image

Next is the abalone hot pot (25,000 won). It's filled with seafood such as two abalones, shrimp, clams, and crab. So the soup is very refreshing. It's a clean and refreshing taste without any artificial flavoring!

Interesting Image

Finally, the squid sundae (16,000 won). It's sliced not too thickly, and the filling is packed inside, making it the perfect size to eat in one bite. The squid was also tender and delicious.

Touching Scene

The dishes I ate at Yangyang 맛집 Baramkkot Haenyeo Village were all delicious overall. They were above average. If you're traveling in Yangyang, I recommend Baramkkot Haenyeo Village, where the taste and price were both reasonable.
