Chuncheon Food Spot: Miwang

Chuncheon Food Spot
Miwang
Recommended Restaurant in Hyodong, Chuncheon
Today's featured restaurant is Chuncheon's new hot spot for Jjamppong!
It's called 'Miwang'.
This place has recently opened in Chuncheon and offers a variety of delicious dishes, from the classic Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong to Mini Tangsuyuk.
All the dishes were fantastic at this Chinese cuisine specialty restaurant.
Let me introduce right away.
Location and Parking Information
Miwan is located in Hyodong, Chuncheon, and you can find it easily by entering the alley between New World and Hyundai Motors towards the 7-Eleven.
I believe this was once a convenience store, but now it has transformed into a wonderful Chinese restaurant.
For parking, you can use the nearby alleyways comfortably.
Atmosphere Inside the Restaurant
The interior of the restaurant is clean and well-organized, reflecting the freshness of a new establishment.
The tables are arranged for four and two, and they can be rearranged for larger groups.
We found a secret spot near the kitchen and settled in.
Now, let's dive into the delicious food!
Menu Highlights
Let's take a look at the menu, starting with the classic offerings like Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, Tangsuyuk, and Fried Rice!
Interestingly, they also serve seafood dishes, which piqued my curiosity.
We ordered the basic Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and Mini Tangsuyuk after much deliberation.
The Mini Tangsuyuk option was great since the regular size seemed too much for us.
Self-Service Side Dishes
There’s a self-service area for side dishes, where you can grab various pickles and utensils.
The basic side dishes include pickled radish, kimchi, and onions, which you can take as much as you like.
After setting everything up, we were ready to enjoy our meal.
Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and Mini Tangsuyuk
Shortly after, our food arrived all at once!
The Mini Tangsuyuk, Jajangmyeon, and Jjamppong looked amazing!
First, I’ll try the Jajangmyeon, a beloved dish for everyone in Korea.
The aroma of the fried black bean sauce was tempting.
Let’s mix it up and dig in!
The thick black sauce and chewy noodles were a perfect match.
Each bite was a delightful blend of salty and sweet flavors, making it a true comfort food.
Next up is the Jjamppong, which I particularly enjoy.
This seafood Jjamppong was loaded with octopus, crab, squid, mussels, and shrimp.
The broth was refreshing with a hint of smokiness, making it hard to stop eating.
Finally, we have the Mini Tangsuyuk, which was surprisingly generous in portion.
Fried to perfection, it had a crispy exterior while remaining juicy inside.
The sweet and sour sauce complemented it beautifully, making it irresistible.
If you're looking for a great Chinese restaurant while traveling in Chuncheon, I highly recommend 'Miwang'.
Enjoy your meal!
