Chasing Sponsorships: A Rookie's Guide to Asian Fusion in Euljiro (Part 1)

My dream is to get sponsored!
So, I started running... towards sponsorships.
I believe the first impression is crucial. Even if my true intentions are revealed, I'm going all in! I will get sponsored!
The selection criteria for these restaurants are simply based on what's showing in my photo album. No priorities, just the recent order in my album. Hence, Part 1!
I'm still a newbie, so these are all honest, paid-for-by-me reviews. Hopefully, next time, it'll be a 'paid-by-them, eaten-by-me' review...
Coincidentally, I've only been to Asian fusion restaurants lately.
1. Jeo Jeo (●●●●○ 4.5)
The general consensus is that men can't help but love this place.
But even women will lick the bowl clean, give a thumbs up, and applaud the taste!
Suyuk Baekban (boiled pork slices with rice) (₩15,000)
I ordered suyuk to get some protein, but they also have Minari Gukbap (water dropwort rice soup) (₩10,000).
The kimchi color is a bit Chinese-style, but it's so delicious that I'll overlook it. Adding cilantro makes it even better, but it's an extra ₩2,000.
The weather is getting colder, and this is perfect for a warm and hearty hangover cure. It's like turning a pauper's stomach into a rich man's belly! The rich broth and minari are the key.
2. Lung Kee (●●●●○ 4.0)
Lung Kee used to be my top pick, but Jeo Jeo took the second spot.
Even my friends who travel to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan often say that Lung Kee's beef noodle soup is better than the local ones!
I've only had beef noodle soup in Korea, but this is definitely the best in Korea.
3 Kinds of Hong Kong Beef Noodle Soup (₩15,000)
Give me lots of cilantro!!!
Cilantro is free here, so I eat a whole bunch every time... I'm a cilantro lover.
Chongqing Beef Noodle Soup includes brisket, tendon, and beef.
My friend who loves tendon always adds tendon to their beef noodle soup at Lung Kee. (Beef Noodle Soup ₩11,000 + Tendon Add-on ₩3,000)
If you like mala or spicy food, you should definitely order the Hong Kong version and add chili oil instead of ordering the Chongqing version.
The Hong Kong beef noodle soup broth is amazing, but the Chongqing version has a subtly different taste.
I surveyed everyone I know who's been there, and 100% said the Hong Kong version is better than the Chongqing version, even though the Chongqing version is more expensive. I think it's a rip-off.
3. Woochuujin (●●●○○ 3.5)
This place was featured on "Life's Master," and it's a ramen 맛집 (delicious restaurant)!
It's good, but I think I prefer Southeast Asian or Chinese noodles over Japanese noodles.
Tantanmen (₩11,000)
I just noticed they have a menu with an egg... darn it.
I'll have to try the one with the egg next time.
It's tasty, but just average.
I don't like waiting in line.
4. Chuan Chuan Jiu Ba (●●●○○ 3.0)
On a nice day, sitting outside makes you feel like a monkey in a zoo or an Australopithecus with a turtle neck!
They give you a mountain of rice. The portions are huge, but it's a bit salty.
Mapo Tofu Rice Bowl + Mini Rice Noodle Set (₩15,000)
Unique rice noodles with young radish kimchi.
As I'm writing this, I'm getting angry because most things in Euljiro cost ₩15,000.
The Mapo Tofu Rice Bowl is a bit salty. Maybe it feels more stimulating because of the... numbing mala spice (??).
The bowl was pretty, but the rice noodles were average, and the mapo tofu was too strong for my taste. Not spicy, just salty.
The young radish kimchi in the rice noodles wasn't my style.
But it's just a matter of personal preference... If you want to experience the atmosphere of Sewoon Shopping Center, it might be worth it...?
I recommend going here in the evening. You can eat skewer hot pot, which is a bit expensive but delicious. Actually, it's just okay... hmm... I'm officially naming it an atmosphere restaurant! And Sewoon Shopping Center is prettier in the evening with the garland lights on. I'll post an evening recommendation next time!
Well... may your algorithm bless me, and may Jeo Jeo, Jiu Ba, and Lung Kee all appear, and may something go viral and increase my views!^^^^
