I used to think the lamb skewer alley in Konkuk University was the best. I loved it so much!

But after visiting Hou Lamb Skewers in Isu Station as part of a review program, that prejudice completely vanished.

My visit proved that the service was quick and friendly, and the restaurant itself was very hygienically maintained.

The lamb rib meat was chewy yet tender with just the right amount of fat, and the pork small intestine skewers were savory and incredibly chewy. Finally, the Taiwanese sausage was sweet with a subtle hint of spice, making it the perfect palate cleanser. With such a variety of flavors in one serving, I believe ordering the 'Hou Lamb Skewer Assortment' is a must.

Overall, the flavors weren't too strong, making it great for both a side dish with alcohol and a meal.

They honestly display the origin of ingredients and provide detailed information on the lamb skewer-making process. I enjoy lamb skewers, but I didn't know how they were made. I didn't realize so much effort went into it.

Hou Lamb Skewers in Isu Station, located in an alley near Isu Station, was appealing from the start thanks to its clean and well-organized exterior. It turns out that this is a branch of Hou Lamb Skewers, which has its main store in Yeongdeungpo. The main store is so popular that there are already over 30 branches throughout Seoul. That creates a sense of trust that the brand management and taste quality are consistently maintained.

The atmosphere was comfortable and lively, befitting a bar in Isu Station. It's perfect for after-work company dinners or casual drinks with friends. Best of all, it's easily accessible from Isu Station, making it a great place to stop by on your way home from work.

I used to think Konkuk University was the holy land of lamb skewers, but I'm really happy that you can now find high-quality lamb skewer restaurants in the Sadang and Isu areas. Just because there are a lot of chain restaurants doesn't mean that the taste is ordinary. Rather, thanks to the recipes and management system that have been passed down from the main store, I felt that it was a brand that I could trust no matter which branch I went to.

I thought they received pre-cut meat, but they actually slice the meat and put it on the skewers one by one!

Neat side dishes

The most impressive thing was the lamb skewer assortment. The variety of the composition made me think that both lamb meat beginners and enthusiasts would be satisfied.

The assortment consists of 4 lamb skewers, 4 lamb rib skewers, 4 mala lamb skewers, 4 lamb sirloin skewers, 4 pork intestine skewers, and 1 Taiwanese sausage. Being able to taste a variety of types on one plate reduces the worry of choosing a menu, and most of all, it's fun to eat.

It was also fun to grill the skewers yourself over the fire. The automatic skewer machine ensures that the meat doesn't burn and cooks evenly, resulting in a soft texture with no gamey odor. In particular, the lamb sirloin skewers were juicy and had a subtle aroma, so they were delicious even with just a touch of salt. On the other hand, the mala lamb skewers had an addictively spicy mala flavor that enveloped the mouth.
