Located in an alley of Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, "BanGida Ikseon" is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 4.
While parking is not available on-site, you can conveniently use a nearby public parking lot.
The large glass windows offer a clear view inside, revealing a warm and inviting atmosphere with soft lighting. The BanGida logo is prominently displayed above the entrance, making it easy to spot from a distance.
The beautiful blend of traditional Hanok charm and modern aesthetics makes it a perfect spot for a date in Ikseon-dong.
Stepping inside, you'll be greeted by soft lighting and a cozy, inviting ambiance.
The white tones and subtle pink walls create a sophisticated and comfortable mood throughout the space.
There was a clothing rack by the wall; I wonder if it's just for decoration?
BanGida Ikseon is renowned for its fusion Korean course meals, artfully blending Korean and Western cuisines.
In addition to the two signature set menus, there's a diverse selection of à la carte dishes, making it easy to find something to suit your taste.
The Signature A Set is priced at around ₩70,000 for two people, making it a great value compared to other fusion restaurants in the area!

Signature A Set (₩70,000)
The dishes were served quickly after ordering! Those who like to take pictures of all the dishes at once will really appreciate that.
Aperitif (Apple Makgeolli Cocktail)
The aperitif is an apple makgeolli (Korean rice wine) cocktail! If you don't drink alcohol, you can request a lemon juice substitute.
I was very curious about the apple makgeolli cocktail, but since I have a health checkup tomorrow, I opted for the lemon juice, which was refreshing and delicious. My partner tried the apple makgeolli and raved about how good it was!
Salad (Shiitake Mushroom Salad with Yuzu Dressing)
The shiitake mushroom and tofu salad with yuzu dressing was fantastic. The fresh vegetables like romaine, red lettuce, and chicory were incredibly crisp and refreshing.
The savory ricotta cheese was delicious, and the mushrooms were tender and fragrant. The yuzu dressing added a bright, citrusy touch that made it extra delicious.
Meat Dish (Pork Cheek with Tomato Vegetable Stew)
This dish features pork cheek marinated in herbs, doenjang (Korean soybean paste), and wine for a day, then slow-cooked sous vide for 7 hours before being pan-fried to perfection!
It's moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Every bite is bursting with flavor.
The acidity of the tomatoes cut through the richness of the pork, and the subtle spiciness enhanced the overall flavor. The Korean parsley and garlic chips complemented the meat perfectly, creating a well-balanced and delicious dish.
Main Course 1 (Avocado and Mentaiko Bibimbap with Grilled Eggplant)
You absolutely have to try this one! This bibimbap features 6 kinds of seasonal greens, grilled eggplant, creamy avocado, and pollack roe.
The presentation is elegant, and it feels very wholesome!
The soy sauce-based seasoning makes it incredibly flavorful. The fragrance of the eggplant, the creaminess of the avocado, and the saltiness of the pollack roe create a harmonious blend of flavors in your mouth.
Adding a little more of the bibimbap sauce from the table enhanced the flavors without making it too salty.
Main Course 2 (Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles)

The moment the fragrant perilla oil spreads with the chewy noodles is divine.

The soft and fragrant perilla oil envelops your mouth, and the firm texture of the noodles is so satisfying that you can't stop eating them.

The combination of soy sauce, perilla seed powder, garlic, and sesame leaves creates a savory and aromatic flavor that awakens your appetite! The sauce is delicious, and the abundance of onions adds a great crunch. It's not too strong and is fresh, making it a menu item that you can enjoy regardless of the season.
