I had some business to take care of in Gapyeong, and on my way home, I decided to find a restaurant for lunch.

My family believes that you have to eat Chuncheon Dakgalbi at least once when you visit Gapyeong. So, this time, we visited a restaurant in Gapyeong-eup that offered both great value and delicious taste.

Dalki Chuncheon Dakgalbi

Address: 54, Gahwa-ro, Gapeong-eup, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, 1st floor

Hours: Daily 10:00 ~ 22:00

Accepted payment methods: Local currency, consumption coupons, Zero Pay

Parking: Available at the Gapyeong-eup Community Service Center (free parking during meals)

We parked at the Community Service Center parking lot right across from the restaurant and went straight in.

I'm not sure if it was remodeled or newly opened, but the interior was very clean, and there were quite a few tables.

We arrived after the lunch rush, so we could easily choose the seats we wanted.

There were two adults and two elementary school students in our group, so we ordered three servings of Chuncheon Dakgalbi (250g, domestic).

Since my family doesn't eat a lot, we wouldn't be able to eat fried rice if we ordered four servings. Also, there wasn't a rule saying that each person had to order one dish.

As you can see from the price, it's much cheaper than most Dakgalbi places these days.

They bring most of the side dishes to you at first, and you can get more at the self-serve bar.

The cold radish soup (Dongchimi) is refreshing and a great way to wet your appetite before or during the meal.

After a short wait, the Dakgalbi arrived.

Precious Memory

I'm not sure if they always do this, but they cooked it to some extent.

After stirring it several times, you can see it gradually transforming into a delicious-looking dish.

Fantastic Scene

But as you know, the rice cakes and vegetables cook first, so you have to satisfy your hunger with those initially!

They do mention this, too.

As I mentioned earlier, we enjoyed the rice cakes and vegetables to whet our appetites.

Beautiful Landscape

I really like butternut squash, so I hope you'll try to pick it out and eat it when it's cooked.

Now, we eat the Dakgalbi with various vegetables and wrap it in lettuce.

Bright Future

When I come to Gapyeong, I usually eat Chuncheon Dakgalbi. Most places are delicious, and this place wasn't too salty or too sweet, making it perfect for wrapping with the side dishes.

Amazing Sight

I would definitely visit this place again without hesitation.

What's needed at times like these?

Makgeolli (Korean rice wine), of course!

Happy Time

I was driving, so I couldn't have Makgeolli, which would have been a perfect match. I was disappointed.

Chuncheon Dakgalbi doesn't need a lot of side dishes; it's delicious with just the essentials for lettuce wraps. I think it's a dish I crave from time to time.

Bright Future

Finally, we ordered fried rice, which is a must.

I had to try making a heart shape, and the fried rice was amazing, as expected.

Happy Time

The Dakgalbi was delicious, but the fried rice was so good that I highly recommend you order it if you visit.

I used to like Jiho Dakgalbi Makguksu (formerly Chuncheon Famous Dakgalbi), but it's about 2,000 won more expensive per serving, which makes a noticeable difference in price.

Wonderful Photo

Considering the value and taste, I think this place (Dalki Chuncheon Dakgalbi) is the better option.
