A Visit to Songjeong Stone Plate Octopus Stir-fry

Hello everyone!
During the Christmas season, there are many places to visit.
I recently went to the Haeundae Light Festival, and it was beautiful.
After the light festival, I decided to visit Gijang for some outlet shopping.
I heard there’s a great restaurant that serves octopus stir-fry on a stone plate, so I visited "Songjeong Stone Plate Octopus Stir-fry."
Address: 136 Gijanghaean-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, 101, 102.
Business Hours: Daily from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM, closed on Thursdays.
Parking is available in the building's underground parking lot for up to 2 hours for free.
The interior of the restaurant is spacious and clean, with about ten tables.
Since it’s Christmas season, the place is decorated with festive ornaments!
We visited on a weekend, and it seems that many office workers come during weekdays.
On weekends, a lot of people visit while shopping at the outlet.
The basic side dishes include perilla leaves for wrapping the octopus stir-fry, bean sprouts for mixing with rice, braised tofu, salad, seaweed cold soup, and rice.
One essential ingredient for octopus stir-fry is seaweed flakes!
While some places serve a limited amount, here they provide plenty of seaweed flakes for each table.
As for the menu, there’s no need to say much—just the stone plate octopus stir-fry!
They seem focused on enhancing the flavor of this one dish.
Other options like udon noodles and rice can also be ordered.
Takeout is available, so you can enjoy it at home too.
The octopus stir-fry is served on a stone plate, pre-cooked to some extent.
It’s stir-fried with octopus, carrots, onions, and topped with minari and enoki mushrooms.
Mix everything well together; it looks so delicious!
The vibrant red color is so appealing, and with the variety of vegetables, it’s a healthy dish.
On top of the rice, I added octopus stir-fry, bean sprouts, and seaweed flakes, mixing it all together.
I added more seaweed flakes while eating, enhancing the savory flavor.
The mixed octopus stir-fry bibimbap is wrapped in perilla leaves for a delightful bite.
It pairs wonderfully with the perilla leaves.
Whether wrapped or eaten plain, it’s delicious!
The octopus legs are plump, adding a fun chewiness.
After enjoying some octopus stir-fry with rice, I added udon noodles and stir-fried them together.
Mix thoroughly to let the seasoning soak into the udon.
Eating the udon with well-marinated octopus is just as tasty!
This restaurant is a branch that expanded from its original location in Songjeong.
It’s not a chain but a family-run business, preserving the original flavor.
When we visited, the wife of the owner was running the place.
If you’re looking for a tasty spot near the Gijang Lotte Outlet, I highly recommend Songjeong Stone Plate Octopus Stir-fry!
The octopus stir-fry is spicy and delicious, filled with chewy octopus and fresh vegetables.
There’s a generous amount of rice to enjoy with the stir-fry.
Since the owner manages it directly, you can expect consistent quality.
