I visited PETRA for lunch while exploring Itaewon and Hannam-dong.

During my previous visit, there weren't any staff members fluent in Korean, but this time, there was a staff member who spoke fluent Korean, making it easy to order! They were also very kind, which made the experience even better.

Falafel

Falafel

It looks like menchi-katsu (Japanese minced meat cutlet), but it's made of vegetables, making it incredibly savory and delicious. The aroma isn't overpowering, so I recommend everyone try it.

Pita

Pita

It's like naan, but chewier and more savory, which was to my taste!

It felt like eating a 'gonggalppang' (Korean hollow bread), so I wanted to carry it around and eat it, but my girlfriend scolded me.

Sauces

Sauces

The top one is called chili sauce, and the bottom one tasted like yogurt sauce.

Interestingly, the chili sauce had a tingling aftertaste, so I ordered extra. It seems like extra sauce costs ₩1,000 per serving.

Lamb Hummus

Lamb Hummus

It's said to be made with chickpeas, and it was extremely savory. The lamb had little to no gamey smell and was very delicious!

The dishes above were all appetizers, so I ordered a main dish.

This is the main dish! They said it was chicken cooked with tomato sauce, but I forgot the name...

The taste was just okay! The spices weren't overwhelming, but I couldn't eat much of it (maybe because I'm a country bumpkin from Cheongju... my girlfriend scolded me for this too).

I noticed that many people at the next table only ordered appetizers. If I were to visit again, I think I would only order the hummus, falafel, and pita.

I paid for this myself.

Recommended: Hummus, Falafel, Pita ★★★★
