???? Hyangyu Galbi ????

Located at 1287-13, Seongjang-ro, Idong-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do

Pocheon is so famous for its Idong Galbi (Korean BBQ ribs)! I heard there are many Idong Galbi restaurants here and there, so I was conflicted. I even came all the way to Idong Galbi Village and chose a place with no wait!

There's plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant, so that's the first thing I did.

Turns out this restaurant has been featured on several TV shows like Delicious Guys, My Hometown at 6, and Baek Jong-won's Top 3 Chef Kings!

They've appeared on many other broadcasts as well. After admiring their impressive history, I headed inside.

They asked how many people were in our party and led us to our seats.

I looked at the menu to order, and they had quite a few options!

We decided to start with the Idong Galbi.

They brought out the grill for us.

There was also a menu on the wall, and side dishes were available at the self-serve bar.

Omija (Magnolia berry) Highball, Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) Shake, Pineapple Sherbet, Avocado Yukhoe (Korean style Beef Tartare), etc. The pictures on the wall were so tempting!

The side dishes came out. Baechu-jeol-im (seasoned cabbage) wasn't available at the self-serve bar, but they brought it out when I asked.

Wow~ The Idong Galbi is here!

It seems like quite a generous portion.

Makgeolli Shake

The Makgeolli Shake also came out!

Mixing it with the whipped cream on top tasted like cream makgeolli.

We started grilling the galbi~

You have to grill it carefully so it doesn't burn!

Bokbunja (Korean Black Raspberry) Highball

We finished the Makgeolli Shake so quickly that we ordered a Bokbunja Highball as well.

Cut, cut, cut the grilled Idong Galbi~

It was so tender and juicy, and surprisingly filling!
