Today, I am introducing a special restaurant located in Mancheon-ri, Chuncheon!
It is called 'Mancheonri Sanghoe'.
This place specializes in Chuncheon's Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles,
using only 100% domestically sourced perilla seeds.
They press fresh perilla oil on-site, ensuring quality and flavor.
Now, let me share more about this delightful restaurant.
Business hours are from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM,
with a break time from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Closed every Wednesday.
Parking is available in the designated areas in front and behind the building.
We visited Mancheonri Sanghoe for a family lunch, and it was bustling with people.
Despite the crowd, we managed to find parking.
Once inside, we found the restaurant to be clean and well-organized.
The staff quickly set up a table for our group of 11, and their service was friendly.
The highlight of the menu is, of course, the Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles!
We also tried various other dishes, including Spicy Buckwheat Noodles, Perilla Oil Soup, and Beef Rice.
For our table, we ordered three servings of Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles, one Spicy Buckwheat Noodle, two servings of Perilla Oil Soup, and a half serving of meatballs.
As for the side dishes, we were served refreshing Dongchimi (radish water kimchi) and Yeolmu Kimchi (young radish kimchi).
The Dongchimi broth was incredibly refreshing and perfect for digestion.
Shortly after, our main dishes arrived, and I will describe each one!
The Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles were aromatic and delicious.
Priced at 14,000 KRW, the dish featured buckwheat noodles topped with mushrooms and perilla leaves, generously drizzled with perilla oil, sesame seeds, and seaweed.
Mixing the ingredients brought out an irresistible aroma that whetted our appetites.
Surprisingly, the perilla oil was not greasy at all; instead, it was light and nutty.
Next up was the Spicy Buckwheat Noodles, priced at 12,000 KRW.
This dish had a balanced sweet and spicy flavor, making it suitable even for older patrons.
Then came the Beef Rice, which was a hit with everyone, especially kids.
At 15,000 KRW, it featured tender beef in a rich bone broth, perfect for all ages.
The Perilla Oil Soup, priced at 15,000 KRW, was a comforting choice, especially on a chilly day.
Lastly, we had the meatballs, which were juicy and made from high-quality meat, priced at 16,000 KRW for three pieces.
In conclusion, Mancheonri Sanghoe is a fantastic spot for Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles.
The flavors were delightful, and I almost bought several bottles of their perilla oil to take home!
I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Chuncheon.
