A Relaxing Meal at Gomori Mindeulleul: A Korean Fine Dining Experience

Gomori Mindeulleul
I've wanted to visit this place for a while now,
and I finally made it to Gomori Mindeulleul in Pocheon!
The first thing that caught my eye upon arrival was the
beautiful Hanok-style exterior.✨
Nestled amidst a spacious yard and meticulously manicured garden,
my heart melted the moment I stepped inside.
The surroundings were tranquil with crisp, clean air,
a stark contrast to the typical city restaurant.
Bathed in the warm autumn sunlight with a touch of fall foliage,
it truly felt like a delightful picnic.😊
The restaurant interior was predominantly wood, creating a
warm and cozy ambiance.
Taking off my shoes and settling into a window seat,
the view of the mountains and trees outside was so lovely that
my entire meal was pure healing.
Before the food arrived,
the wooden tableware was neatly set out,
warming my heart with anticipation. ♪(´▽`)
I ordered the Mindeulle Wild Vegetable Set Menu!❗
The array of side dishes was truly impressive,
instantly whetting my appetite.
The flavors were subtle, allowing the natural taste of the ingredients to shine through.
Throughout the meal, I couldn't help but feel like I was
nourishing my body with wholesome goodness.
The mushroom tangsuyuk (sweet and sour) used shiitake mushrooms
instead of meat. 🧑🍳
The crispy batter and well-balanced sauce made it so enjoyable that
even I, who don't usually favor shiitake mushrooms, savored every bite.
The deodeok (lanceolate root) was particularly fragrant and tender,
keeping me coming back for more.😋
The grilled croaker and bulgogi (marinated beef) were also delicious,
though the bulgogi portion felt a little small.
And I was slightly disappointed that it was served with regular steamed rice instead of a stone pot rice.
However, the warm scorched rice water (sungnyung) that came with the meal
soothed my stomach and made me feel satisfied.
If it had been stone pot rice,
the added pleasure of scraping the crispy rice from the bottom of the pot would have made it even more perfect. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
Overall, the food was mild and clean, making it
an ideal place to bring my parents.
There's also a cafe right next to the restaurant,
making it a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee after the meal.
Tea is also available inside the restaurant.
I didn't visit the cafe this time,
but the cafe's atmosphere was so cozy and lovely that
I definitely want to check it out next time.
'Gomori Mindeulleul' offered a taste of refined and healthy Korean cuisine.
Next time, I want to come with my family in the spring and
make sure to try the Wild Vegetable Set Menu filled with fresh spring greens!😋
