I often visit Namyangju because there are many places to take a walk. This time, I went for a stroll nearby and had a perfect Korean meal at a popular date spot in Namyangju for lunch.
The place I visited was Romantic Meal Nanyangju Eel Restaurant Dasan Branch. It's located at the entrance of the Suseok-dong Miumnaru Food Specialization Street, and the operating hours are from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
I heard that this place is always crowded with customers because it has been broadcast on TV several times. It seemed that there were many locals and tourists alike since it is famous in the area.
Parking is available in the parking lot in front of the store, and even though it is a tourist destination, the parking lot is well-equipped, so it was convenient to use. The size is also large, and there was plenty of space, so it wasn't too crowded even during lunchtime.
The interior of the store has a luxurious atmosphere and is large enough to accommodate a large number of people. There are group tables available, making it perfect for various occasions such as family meals or company dinners.
The Namyangju date restaurant also has private rooms, so you can have a private time. The rooms also have air conditioning and heating, so the atmosphere feels pleasant, and it seemed comfortable to sit because it was not a floor-sitting type.
And there was a tablet for ordering in the room, so it would be convenient to order. It seemed good that you could order everything with the tablet without having to call the staff.
The dishes that I ordered came out, and the table was full of a perfect visual that I had never seen anywhere else. I ordered a lot because I came with my family, but I didn't know it would come out so well.
I thought there wasn't enough for the children to eat, so I was going to order something else, but there was iron plate bulgogi included in the menu, so I didn't need to order a separate side dish.
More than 10 side dishes were served, and I thought it was like a Korean set meal. From various seasonal greens to well-ripened kimchi, I felt like I would be full just eating this.
The Namyangju date restaurant is a traditional Korean restaurant that has been around for 50 years, and there are many dishes with crab as the main ingredient. First, I tried the crab soup, and the spicy soup was refreshing and had an exquisite savory taste.
The crab was so large that it looked appetizing because it used fresh crab, and it was full of meat and eggs, so it couldn't be bad. The soup was also rich and full of flavor, so it was a rice thief.
The grilled eel that I ate soon after came in three flavors: salt, soy sauce, and seasoning, and it was grilled and served right away, so there was no need to grill it separately.
I thought it was a crab specialty restaurant, but the eel also used high-quality eel, so the meat was thick and tender, and there was no fishy smell at all.
It couldn't have been more perfect when I dipped it in chives and special sauce. The subtle fire scent was perfect for the flavor, and the soft texture was perfect for my taste.
The marinated crab in the Namyangju date restaurant was overwhelming just by looking at it. It was coated with bright red sauce, but even though it looked intense, it wasn't too spicy or irritating when you ate it.
Of course, it was full of meat, so you could feel the original taste, and it was more delicious when you put it on rice, so I had no choice but to add more rice. It was a complete rice thief, so I didn't get tired of eating it.
I also tried the soy sauce marinated crab, which is the most popular in this restaurant, and it used a secret soy sauce made with ginseng and deer antler, so it wasn't fishy and the rich taste was well felt.
As expected, crab goes well with rice, so I don't know how many bowls of rice I ordered. It was so full of eggs that the unique richness was perfect, so I couldn't be happier.
Lastly, I ate grilled hairtail, and it was easy to eat because they removed the bones one by one. The king hairtail was large, but the meat was chewy and savory, so I ate all the hairtail without leaving any.
The Namyangju date restaurant was able to taste the food full of sincerity, as if it could be said to be the end of Korean food. The menu composition was excellent and the price was reasonable, so I ate a lot.
