A Night Out in Shinchon: Discovering Bricks 5221 - A Craft Beer Haven

It had been a while since I visited Shinchon.
Some say it doesn't feel the same anymore, but I disagree!
It's still incredibly lively in the evening.
It feels like an upgraded version of the youthful street I remember.
My friend (older sister) loves craft beer, which led us to:
Bricks 5221!
Located about a 7-minute walk from Shinchon Station (Subway Line 2).
The atmosphere is inviting right from the entrance.
Shall we go in?
It feels like a great pub from the moment you step inside.
They even have cute teddy bears!
Oh! They accept the 'People's Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon' that's popular these days.
Save that information!
Finally, we're inside!
I didn't realize it from the outside, but the space is huge!
It's not just one floor;
Bricks 5221 occupies three floors: the basement, ground floor, and second floor!
The first floor has a large group table in the center and 2-person tables perfect for dates, as well as 4-person tables great for gatherings.
As expected of a craft beer specialist, they have various brewing setups.
A self-serve bar and simple snacks are also available.
Going down the stairs to the basement...

Wow! There are spacious seating areas here.
Perfect for group gatherings and company dinners... incredibly comfortable.
As a restaurant with a beer draft master, there are also various draft beer machines here.
I didn't realize there was such a large beer place in Shinchon!
The seating is so spacious, the space is amazing!
As I suspected, they seem to have many group reservations.
There seemed to be a reservation schedule on the whiteboard.
This is the top floor.
The space I particularly liked was...
These seats! Great for university gatherings or company dinners. It's an ideal space for large groups.
Inside, there are also plenty of large seats.
And for university students, isn't this a perfect place for a birthday party's after-party?
It's so large that I'm finally introducing the menu after introducing the space!
Today, we're planning to indulge in craft beer, pizza, & chicken.
The prices seem reasonable, and beer, chicken, and pizza are always a winning combination, so we ordered.
The pairing speaks for itself.
Ordering is very convenient with the smart order system.
Many people feel hesitant to call over staff at restaurants and pubs.
But with a smart order system, you don't have to worry about that, which is great.

Finally, the craft beer is here! What a spectacular visual!
Start with the lightest one on the left!
They have about 10 different kinds of craft draft beer.
The taste is very fresh, and the aroma is definitely better than regular beer.
The visuals are great, and the aroma of the ale beer is especially amazing.
My friend liked the middle beer, and...
My favorite is the one on the left...
I asked, and they said there's a beer draft master here.
They always manage the beer's taste to be in the best condition... Makes sense.
And it's the craft beer restaurant with the highest sales volume in the Shinchon and Hongdae area.

Can you see the carbonation?
Currently, they're having a promotion where you get a free snack if you upload a Naver receipt or Instagram feed post.
Nachos OR French Fries
You can get snacks that go so well with beer as a service, so
Everyone, try it out!

Cheers! It's been a while since I met up with Rojo.
We chatted, drank delicious craft beer, and had a great time.
The atmosphere is good, and the taste is good too!
We ordered boneless chicken as a main dish, and the seasoning was so delicious.
Especially the salad, it has a special taste.
I thought it was just mixed with regular ketchup mayonnaise sauce,
But there's something like pickles that you can chew on.
The chicken itself is so delicious...

Look at the amount compared to the price! It's really great value.
Next up is the Bulgogi Pizza.
Bricks 5221 Shinchon makes wood-fired pizza.
They say they use dough that has been aged for more than 2 hours.
No wonder the dough is so chewy.

The stretchy pizza cheese and
The pizza is savory and delicious because it's baked in a wood-fired oven.
Actually, I don't usually eat the crust of the pizza well,
But because it's baked in a wood-fired oven, it feels like bread before a meal.
This time when I went here, I ate all the way to the end of the bread.
I didn't know there was a place like this.
I found a great Shinchon dinner restaurant that would be great to come to as a group later on.
Next time, I'll have to try other kinds of craft beer.
And when they were serving, I saw them put craft beer in a wine bottle (?) and
They were serving it that way, so if you want one type of craft beer,
It would be great to order it by the bottle like that.
Definitely want to visit again!
