A Must-Visit Family Restaurant in Gwangalli: Charcoal Grilled Fish 202

Gwangalli is always a must-visit destination for our family trips to Busan. This time, traveling with our baby, we were extra careful when choosing a restaurant.
We wanted a place that was easily accessible with a stroller and offered a sea view while dining. ‘Gwangalli Charcoal Grilled Fish 202’ was highly recommended by a local friend.
My husband loves grilled fish, so we always make sure to have at least one grilled fish meal during our trips. This time, it was an excellent choice. The fish wasn't too strong for our baby, and the natural, savory flavor was preserved, satisfying everyone in the family.
Plus, the view of the Gwangan Bridge and Gwangalli Beach through the large windows was so stunning that we couldn't stop admiring it throughout the meal.
If you're looking for a place to eat out with your child on a beautiful day like today, I don't think there's a better place. That's why I'm introducing it right away. It's a restaurant that has everything: atmosphere, taste, and view.
1. Location and Exterior
‘Gwangalli Charcoal Grilled Fish 202’ is located on the 3rd floor of a building right in front of Gwangalli Beach. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Gwangalli Station (Subway Line 2, Exit 3), so it was easy to get there with a stroller. Parking is convenient at the Gwangalli Beach Public Parking lot, which is only a 2-3 minute walk away, making it easy to carry the baby.
The building's exterior is clean, with impressive glass windows. Being on the 3rd floor, the view is open, and you can see the Gwangan Bridge at a glance. Dining while enjoying the blue sea during the day and the sparkling lights at night was one of the best things about this place.
2. Interior Atmosphere
As soon as you open the door, you'll feel a warm atmosphere. The subtle charcoal scent isn't overwhelming, and the space is decorated elegantly, attracting many families. The tables are spaced wide enough to accommodate a baby chair or stroller.
The staff was very friendly. They warmed up bowls for the baby and adjusted the heat, allowing us to enjoy our meal comfortably. Despite it being lunchtime on the weekend, it wasn't too noisy, and the calm atmosphere with gentle music made it perfect for a family outing.
3. Menu and Ordering
We ordered the Charcoal Grilled Salt Fish (23,000 KRW) and Kimchi Stew (8,000 KRW). For the grilled fish, we chose mackerel and saury. The staff grilled the fish directly over charcoal, so it didn't burn and was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The side dishes were also diverse. The neatly prepared side dishes and the aroma of freshly cooked rice stimulated our appetite. The Kimchi Stew had a deep and rich flavor, making it a great complement to the grilled fish. It wasn't too spicy, so our baby enjoyed it with rice.
4. Food Taste and Overall Review
I was really surprised at the first bite. The smoky flavor of the charcoal-grilled fish filled my mouth, but there was no fishy smell, only a savory taste. The fish was firm and juicy with every bite.
The salty flavor of the mackerel and the soft texture of the saury were excellent, and the crispy skin was perfectly grilled. Since the staff grilled the fish for us, it was very convenient for parents who needed to take care of their child.
Moreover, the view of Gwangalli Beach and the Gwangan Bridge from the window seat during the meal was truly healing. Our baby waved happily at the sea, and my husband was busy taking pictures. Dining with such a view was very special.
I heard that different seasonal fish are available, so I want to visit again in the fall. The savory taste of the fish, warm rice, and friendly service made it a perfect meal.
5. Highly Recommended for Family Dining
Gwangalli Charcoal Grilled Fish 202 is not just a place to eat but a place that makes family time more special. I highly recommend it, especially for parents with babies. With spacious tables, attentive staff, and a 부담없는 menu, everything was perfectly prepared.
If you're wondering where to go with your baby in Gwangalli during your Busan trip, this is the answer. The moment you eat warm, charcoal-grilled fish with the Gwangan Bridge in front of you, all your fatigue will disappear.
It's also great when you want to dine while watching the night sea of Gwangalli, or when you're looking for a quiet place to eat with your parents. It's a place suitable for family meals, travel dining, and dates. I will definitely visit again next time I come to Busan.
