A Must-Try Jeju Black Pork BBQ Restaurant: Honest Don Seogwipo Jungmun Branch Review!

Today, I'm sharing my review of a Jeju black pork BBQ restaurant that I really enjoyed during my Jeju trip!
It's called Honest Don (정직한돈) Seogwipo Jungmun Branch!
This is a 내돈내산 (I paid for it myself) review, and I definitely plan to revisit this delicious black pork place!

I visited Honest Don Seogwipo Jungmun Branch for dinner.
Apparently, Honest Don has three locations in Jeju:
Aewol, Jungmun, and Hyeopjae. I visited the Seogwipo Jungmun direct branch!
The parking lot is spacious, making parking easy.
I visited around 6 PM, and there were already several cars!
I heard that it's a popular restaurant among tourists and locals alike, so I went inside with anticipation!
The interior of Honest Don is clean and neat.
It also has a Jeju resort vibe~
I especially liked the view of the lush scenery from inside the restaurant!
The seating was spacious, and it looked like it could accommodate large groups.
There were many couples and families, and some people even brought their babies~~
It's usually difficult to bring a baby to a grilling restaurant, but Honest Don grills the meat for you, so it's probably better than other places!

Jeju Black Pork 600g: 66,000 KRW (for 2 people)
Additional Jeju Black Pork 400g: 44,000 KRW
Jeju Marinated Galbi (Ribs) (Jeju-grown) 350g: 21,000 KRW (per person)
One serving of cold noodles is free with each order of marinated ribs.
I wanted to try the marinated ribs, but since there were only two of us, we ordered the Jeju black pork!
They also have pork skirt meat, kimchi stew, soybean paste stew, cold noodles, and spicy cold noodles.
The side dishes are substantial~~
I wish I could have a shot of soju, but I passed ㅠㅠ
For a side dish, we ordered the black pork kimchi stew!
As soon as we ordered, they brought out the charcoal.
My husband, a meat expert, was amazed by the quality of the charcoal.
He said the owner knows his charcoal, haha.
They said it's the highest quality charcoal!!
I think the taste of the meat is multiplied when grilled over good charcoal.
(Living with a meat expert for 2 years... I'm starting to learn something, haha)
Here are the side dishes that come with the meal.
A wide variety of side dishes are served, making it great to eat with the meat!

While waiting for the meat, we grilled seaweed over the charcoal...ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Jeju Black Pork
I had black pork twice on this Jeju trip,
But honestly, this black pork was much more delicious... (It's a secret..ㅋㅋ)
As soon as my husband saw the meat, he was satisfied with the cut, lol.
The owner grilled the meat for us, which was so convenient,
And I was satisfied because he grilled the meat so well~
Because I know that the taste of meat depends on how it's grilled..!!
(I never grill..ㅋㅋ)
Interestingly, at Honest Don, they separate the pork skin and grill it separately?
This is the first time I've seen this method ㅋㅋㅋ
It's innovative and delicious.
And the kimchi stew
Wow... This has so much meat in it
I highly recommend you try it!!

Hehe, when eating grilled meat in Jeju, meljeot (anchovy sauce) is a must.
You can see the juices in the meat even just by looking at the pictures.
They grill it nicely for you, so you just have to eat it deliciously!
It was so nice to have so many side dishes to eat with it,
And it was another delicacy when wrapped in seaweed~??
It's interesting that seaweed always comes out at Jeju meat restaurants ㅋㅋㅋ
Grilled seaweed over charcoal is so delicious ㅋㅋㅋ

This is a real delicacy.
Thick, savory, and chewy!!!!!
Honestly, I don't really like pork skin (believe it or not..ㅋㅋ)
But this was so delicious that I ate a lot ㅋㅋㅋ
My husband asked if I really didn't like it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The self-service bar is also operated so cleanly~
You can bring the side dishes you need without feeling pressured!!
Honest Don Seogwipo Jungmun Branch, which I really enjoyed during my Jeju trip.
I was a little suspicious after seeing the advertisement that YouTuber Heebab had visited (because she's at almost every restaurant ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
But I really recommend this place!!!
100% revisit intention!!!!!!!!
