Today, I'm posting about 'Mom's Cooking', a Korean set menu restaurant in Yeongju that I recently visited.
My family and I were wondering what to have for lunch, and we decided on this place because we were craving a hearty Korean meal!
Location & Atmosphere
It's located in Munjeong-dong, Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It's easily accessible because you can park in front of the restaurant or on the side of the road nearby.
The interior is spacious, making it perfect for large groups or family gatherings. They also have private rooms for a more intimate dining experience.
What We Ordered
The signature dish here is definitely the Dolsotbap (stone pot rice) Korean set menu. We ordered the Dolsotbap set for two people. (Dolsotbap: ₩18,000 / Plain Rice: ₩16,000)
The Dolsotbap is cooked to order, so you have to wait about 15 minutes, but the side dishes are prepared in the meantime.
A Generous Spread
Soon after, a truly generous spread that was enough to make us feel full just by looking at it arrived!
• Spicy Squid Salad, Tofu Salad, Various Seasoned Vegetables
• Beef Tartare, Boiled Octopus, Japchae (glass noodles), Kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), Sweet and Sour Pork, Grilled Mackerel, Bulgogi (stir-fried pork)
• Cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew), Various쌈채소 (Ssam vegetables) (unlimited refill)
It wasn't just that there were "many side dishes" - there were so many that we could mix it with the rice several times over and still have enough.
Especially, the taste of eating warm Dolsotbap with 쌈채소 (Ssam vegetables)...it was pure happiness.

If you need more 쌈 (Ssam), you can use the self-service bar, which is full of fresh 쌈채소 (Ssam vegetables)!
If you're looking for a cost-effective and generous Korean meal in Yeongju, I highly recommend 'Mom's Cooking'.
It's a great place to go with your parents because it's a hearty meal that adults will love.
I'm planning to visit again next time.
Tip: If you're planning to have Dolsotbap, you can reduce your waiting time by making a reservation!
