Busan's Main Street: Seomyeon
Seomyeon Restaurant Roundup: Part 1
Featuring Haru Udon, Pizza De Siwoo, Tae Tae Tae, and More!
Hello, I'm 조용조!
Today, I'm bringing you Part 1 of my Seomyeon Restaurant Roundup, featuring some amazing eats in Busan's main street.
Seomyeon is one of Busan's busiest and most bustling main streets, so there are tons of restaurants to choose from :)
If you're planning a trip to Busan, I highly recommend checking out Seomyeon!
I hope you enjoy this Seomyeon restaurant series! Let's get started :)
Pizza De Siwoo
1. Pizza De Siwoo
Pizza De Siwoo is a super trendy pizza place that's been all over Instagram lately.
It's famous for its signature menu item.
And what is that signature menu item, you ask?
It's the Cheeseburger Pizza with a smiley face drawn on it :)
When you eat two slices of the Cheeseburger Pizza together,
It seriously tastes like a rich and creamy cheeseburger!
(My pizza-loving boyfriend really enjoyed it!)
The Chicken Skin Fry Pizza was just okay.
And the pasta here is amazing!
I had the Buldak Rose Pasta, which was so creamy and spicy—just incredible!
Their signature pasta dish is the Perilla Seed Cream Pasta, which I want to try next time :)
Tae Tae Tae
2. Tae Tae Tae
Tae Tae Tae is a Thai pub located in Seomyeon's bar street area.
Every single dish on the menu is fantastic!
The photo above is of Leng Saep, a Thai-style pork spine stew,
The broth was so refreshing and clean.
It's loaded with meat,
And the meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth.
(Cilantro isn't included, but you can ask for it separately!)
This is Jokbal Knife-Cut Noodles.
The Jokbal (pork hocks) is super chewy and tender, and the noodles are also chewy,
So I recommend it to those who love a chewy texture!
(The overall flavor was sweet.)
And this Eggplant Fry is seriously insane (in a good way)!
The outside is crispy, and the inside is chewy,
And it's packed with juice and oil,
So it's really, really delicious!
If you go to Tae Tae Tae, be sure to order the Eggplant Fry!
(They have all the trendy items like Anju Omakase and Kaymak.)
Gang Galbitang Seomyeon
3. Gang Galbitang Seomyeon
This place is great to go to when you want a hearty meal around Seomyeon.
Even though it's a Galbitang (beef short rib soup) restaurant in the center of Seomyeon,
The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.
The meat is incredibly tender, and the broth is clean,
Making it the perfect place for a meal :)
In addition to regular Galbitang,
They also have unique Galbitang options like Spicy Galbitang, and
Galbi Gukbap (beef short rib rice soup), which is a good option when the Galbitang price is too high,
So people of all ages, from the elderly to students, come here.
The staff were also very friendly :)
Haru Udon Seomyeon Main Branch
4. Haru Udon Seomyeon Main Branch
Haru Udon is an extremely famous Udon restaurant!
When you think of Udon in Seomyeon, the first place that comes to mind is
Haru Udon, whose signature dishes, Shabu Udon and Mala Udon,
Are very popular and delicious.
(Haru Udon is a place I visit again and again!)
It's not just delicious, but the price and portions are perfect too.
In addition to Udon, the Donkatsu (pork cutlet) you can order as a side
Is also super crispy and delicious!
(They also have Mentaiko Rice, which is also delicious.)
Sanbandeul Dwaeji Gukbap Seomyeon Jeonpo Cafe Street Main Branch
5. Sanbandeul Dwaeji Gukbap Seomyeon Jeonpo Cafe Street Main Branch
Sanbandeul Dwaeji Gukbap isn't your typical Dwaeji Gukbap (pork and rice soup), but a place with
Unique types of Gukbap.
At first, I thought, 'What is this...?',
But I kept eating it, and it's a taste I sometimes think about even after eating it.
They have Gukbap that feels like Japanese ramen soup with rice, like Tonkotsu, Karai, and Miso Gukbap,
And Sanbandeul Gukbap, which combines shellfish broth and pork bone broth.
The portions are bigger than you think, so you don't need to add extra noodles,
But I highly recommend trying the Karaage (fried chicken) and Gyoza (dumplings).
Both have unique flavors that you can't find anywhere else,
So they left a lasting impression on me!
And Sanbandeul Dwaeji Gukbap is really affordable.
All the Gukbap is around ₩6,900~₩7,900.
It's really hard to find places like this these days!
