Last weekend, I had my first gathering in Yangjae-dong. Of course, lamb skewers were a must for our friends' get-together! We had a satisfying meal at "Netjjaene Yangkkochi & Yanggalbi", a Yangjae restaurant in Seoul that has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. I'm excited to share my delightful memories from that day.

1. Location Information
"Netjjaene Yangkkochi & Yanggalbi", which we visited, was very easy to get to, just a 1-minute walk from Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station. It was perfect as a meeting place because it was close to the station.
It was a little difficult to drive up to the entrance, but there is a spacious parking lot in front. Even I, who am not good at parking, was able to park without any worries.
2. Cozy Interior
As soon as I opened the door to the restaurant, I felt a cozy atmosphere. The black-toned tables and open structure of the interior made me feel good just sitting there.
What I was most satisfied with was the well-functioning ventilation system. Thanks to this, I didn't have to worry about the smell of meat getting on my clothes.
There were even storage compartments in the chairs, so there were quite a few office workers. I was impressed by their consideration in providing these small but thoughtful details.
The sauces were self-service refills, but they were well-organized, so I felt safe and hygienic. I felt good about the meticulousness of the store management in the organized appearance.
3. Ordered Menu
As soon as I was seated, my eyes went to the menu. There were pictures, so I could easily choose by looking at the actual menu items. We ordered a variety of dishes, including premium ribs, tomato egg stir-fry, Gobaoru (sweet and sour pork), and G-Samseon (three kinds of delicacies).
As we chatted for a while, the basic side dishes were neatly set up. I was looking forward to the hearty table setting.
First of all, the pickled onions we enjoyed as a side dish awakened our appetite with their crunchy texture and salty taste. The pickled onions were homemade, and the crunchiness was better for stimulating the appetite than the bitterness.
The Jjajang (Sichuan pickles) were spicy and tangy, boasting a perfect combination with the meat. I was very satisfied from the start.
4. Premium Ribs
Finally, the premium ribs, the core menu of this restaurant, appeared. The bright red color and marbling were still alive, and I could feel the freshness just by looking at it.
I put the premium ribs on the heated grill and grilled them. I relaxed and healed while listening to the sound of the meat cooking.
The grill was right in front of me, but the heat wasn't overwhelming, so it was comfortable. It was aged for 24 hours, so I just wanted to eat it quickly.
They took care to keep the heat from decreasing, so I was comfortable, and the outside was golden brown and the inside was moist, so I could taste the best lamb skewers.
The first premium rib I tasted was very tender. The moment I chewed it, the juices burst and the savory flavor spread throughout my mouth, and I exclaimed.
Putting on the pepper pickles helped to get rid of the stuffiness, so I didn't get tired of eating it even if I ate it continuously.
The lamb skewers were a perfect combination of chewy lean meat and charcoal flavor. Dipping it in cumin made the flavor come alive, so it was hard to stop my chopsticks.
Eating it with Jachai (Sichuan vegetable) removed the greasiness and made my mouth feel refreshed. It was a taste that made me carefully savor each piece of meat.
For the side dish, I chose tomato egg stir-fry. The plate was filled with rich eggs, tomatoes, and bell peppers, and the flavor was deep and rich.
The refreshing tomatoes were excellent at cleaning up the greasy mouth. Even the bell peppers I was only going to eat half of disappeared in an instant.
There were so many eggs that it was of a quality that could be ordered as a main dish.
The next menu was Gobaoru, the flower of Chinese food. The chewy texture of the Gobaoru and the sour sauce harmonized, and I couldn't help but admire it.
It was a perfect course to fill your stomach with meat and then have fried food. I smiled as I ate with my friends.
I finished off with G-Samseon. It was generous because it was covered in sauce on top.
The crispy batter and eggplant were combined to create a fresh feeling. As expected of a homemade sauce, I couldn't taste any MSG.
It cleaned my mouth perfectly at the right timing to feel greasy. It was the best in terms of composition because it contained spicy, bland, and savory flavors.
5. Overall Review
I was so satisfied with everything from the lamb skewers to the Gobaoru and G-Samseon! I think I will remember it for a long time. I kept promising myself that I would visit again. "Netjjaene Yangkkochi & Yanggalbi" is a truly popular spot, so I highly recommend it~
