I visited the Busan Christmas Market this year! Last year it was held in Yeongdo, so I wasn't particularly interested, but since it was held on a larger scale in Centum, I had to go >_<
After seeing reviews that the entrance wait time on weekends was at least an hour, I knew I couldn't go on the weekend, so I went on a weekday.
If you purchase a fast track pass in advance, you'll be able to enter quickly even on weekends. (However, the fast track does not apply to food purchase lines, so the waiting time will be very long at popular stores.)
I wanted to enjoy it from day to night, so I visited between 3 PM and 4 PM.
Parking Tip! If there's space, park in the basement of the Busan Cinema Center! You can go straight up, and there was plenty of space since it was a weekday.
Busan Cinema Center Parking Fee: ₩1,000 per 30 minutes
Here's my honest review of the food I bought (Sonnae Hyangmi, Taco Sounds Club Chimichanga, Hong Ning Cha, Mapo Tofu Mien, BCBL Coffee, etc.).
I checked the cute screen where a fairy greets you and entered. I passed through the tree path quickly because it was daytime, but if you visit in the evening, it'll be pretty and you'll probably take a lot of pictures.
I parked right away and there was no waiting to enter since I came on a weekday, so I was in a good mood from the start!
Christmas world entry complete! Big trees greeted me as soon as I entered! There are many accessory shops selling Christmas tree ornaments, accessories, perfumes, etc. at the entrance, and they also sell small snacks such as cookies and milk tea.
I was so hungry, so I headed straight to the dining corner.
There are 70 food markets in a large space of 10,000 square meters, so there are so many places to go.
Especially on weekends, there are so many people that it's a waiting hell, so I recommend figuring out where to go in advance before visiting.
There are plenty of seats available everywhere, so you can take your food and eat. Everyone eats and gets up right away, so the table turnover rate was good.
If there are no seats in the center, move slightly to the outskirts and you'll find plenty of space!
Sonnae Hyangmi - Tteokgalbi (Grilled Short Rib Patty) Sandwich (₩13,000)
Sonnae Hyangmi is very famous in Busan. You can taste Tteokgalbi here, which is hard to eat easily because the waiting is tough. I only bought the Tteokgalbi sandwich.
I was surprised by the cute sandwich size compared to the price, but the Tteokgalbi was real! Even though they cut the pre-ordered sandwich, it was juicy and delicious.
If you were expecting a sandwich full of ingredients, this was a sandwich with a small amount of vegetables and the original taste of Tteokgalbi.
Goraesa Fishcake - Santa Village Assorted Fishcake Soup (₩9,000)
If you're visiting in the evening or if you're shivering from the cold, be sure to eat this... The turnover rate is good, it's hot and chewy, what more can I say~~~ I was satisfied because there was a lot of soup and a lot of fishcake compared to the price.
The only downside is the mochi tofu...? I was disappointed because I was expecting glass noodle tofu, but it was melted because it had been left out for too long. It was too stretchy and runny, so it was hard to eat. My precious tofu~~~ But I ate plenty of soup ㅎㅎ
Chinese Cuisine Master Chef Yeo Gyeong-ok - Mapo Tofu Mien (₩11,000)
I wanted to try one of the chef's dishes, so I chose Mapo Tofu! I was really looking forward to Chef Yeo Gyeong-ok's Chinese cuisine~ You can choose between noodles or rice, and I chose rice.
They give you a little bit of mala sauce separately on the side. Even if you don't add the mala sauce, the Chinese flavor really comes alive. Especially the soft tofu is my favorite~
There's a lot of rice and a lot of ingredients, so it's good for a meal.
I think other Kinda Dining dishes are quite hit or miss, but Mapo Tofu seems to be generally delicious! I enjoyed it too ㅎㅎ
BCBL Coffee - Marshmallow Hot Chocolate (₩6,800)
I ate something spicy, so I quickly ate something sweet~~ I heard that Choco Sol has a slightly sour hot chocolate taste rather than a sweet taste, so I picked this one.
People were constantly lining up because it was at the beginning of the entrance. Hot chocolate is the best when it's cold...
The outside is surrounded by sweet marshmallows, and they lightly grill it in front of you with a torch right before they give it to you. The sweet scent is wafting~
It's really sweet... It could be because I'm not good at eating sweet things... It's not a thick hot chocolate taste, but it's generally a sweet hot chocolate base. Eating it with marshmallows is the ultimate sugar rush!!!!
There's a strawberry jam-like base underneath, so the finish was like eating strawberry chocolate. It was nice and warm while waiting in line.
Taco Sounds Club - Chimichanga (₩15,000)
I think this is probably the top waiting line in Christmas Village... They said they would reopen at 4:30 PM, so I came around 4:25 PM, but there was already a long line. You have to time it well to get it without the waiting line being cut off.
The picture I took was when the line had shortened a bit, so I was able to eat it after waiting about 40 to 50 minutes.
In conclusion... it's delicious!!!! The outside is like a tortilla? But the texture of the outer part is good because it's fried. The rice, chicken, and cheese, especially the potatoes, give it a fluffy texture.
The amount is generous compared to the price, so one order is enough for two people to share.
The spice scent isn't too strong, so people who like tacos and burritos will enjoy it.
They said they add a lot of chipotle sauce, so I added it, but the base is already a bit salty. So I felt it was saltier when I added the sauce, so I ate it without the sauce... My precious ₩1,000! If you like strong flavors, try dipping it in the sauce. The taste is subtly different.
Hong Ning Cha - Lemon Tea, Jasmine Pineapple Tea (₩7,500)
I would definitely recommend going here if you go to Christmas Village! If you want to cool down your throat after eating spicy, salty, and sweet foods, this is the place to go. I also came here because my throat was blocked after eating Chimichanga and I wanted to drink something~ and I fell in love ㅎㅎ
Actually, at first, I was drawn to this part-time worker because she was so cute... They sell Hong Kong-style lemon tea, which you can think of as a slightly bland lemon tea with black tea flavor, but my taste expression is lacking... the taste is very clean!
If you want to eat something a little sweeter, I recommend the jasmine pineapple mango tea in the picture on the right. I liked the lemon tea on the left so much that I bought it again hehe
They said they came from Myeongji in Busan, and I wanted to go there if I had a chance!
I didn't see the name of the store when I bought it???? I was walking around because I wanted to eat pork neck steak rice bowl and found it. I think it was around ₩10,000, and there were a lot of vegetables and a lot of meat, but it felt a little greasy. It was okay when I ate it with the sauce they gave me. It was good for a meal!
The Christmas Village became more beautiful at night when the lights were turned on! They spray snow every hour on the hour, and it was even more beautiful when I saw it at night after the sun went down. Busan people who like snow~ ㅋ ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The scale is large as it is set up in a large space called the Busan Cinema Center, and there are many different stores, so it was fun to watch. Why don't you enjoy Christmas this year in this place with convenient parking and lots of delicious food???????
