A Family Gathering at Baekdon Restaurant in Anseong Central Market
It had been a while since our last family gathering, and we spent a long time deciding where to go.
Since we were taking our parents, we wanted a clean and tidy place with a menu suitable for both kids and adults.
After some searching, we discovered Baekdon, a well-known restaurant in Anseong Central Market.
Although it is a relatively new establishment, it has already received many recommendations from acquaintances, so we visited with high expectations.
1. A Clean Venue and Delicious Taste: Baekdon Gomtang
Located inside Anseong Matchum Market, Baekdon surprised us with its well-organized atmosphere, contrary to our expectations of a bustling market.
Using only Anseong Han-dong pork and rice, they serve a clear and rich gomtang, which made my mom even more excited.
It is created by the representatives of Second Corner and Salt Meat, blending traditional flavors with modern sensibilities, and the stylish decor further enhanced our satisfaction.
2. Hygienic and Clean Interior
Upon entering Baekdon, we were greeted by bright lighting and neatly arranged tables.
The overall bright wood tones created a comfortable atmosphere.
Each table had a kiosk, making ordering very convenient.
Despite being located in a market, the hygiene here was impeccable, with clean floors, tables, and utensil holders.
This was one of the reasons we chose it for our family gathering.
3. Baekdon Gomtang Menu
Baekdon focuses solely on pork gomtang without any complicated menus.
The signature dish is Baekdon Gomtang (10,000 won), made with tender pork leg, featuring a light broth.
As the name suggests, it has a clear and deep flavor.
The spicy gomtang (10,000 won) includes a special spicy sauce, which I found to be slightly spicier than Shin Ramyeon.
4. Warm and Comforting Baekdon Gomtang
The Baekdon Gomtang was visually comforting, with thinly sliced meat generously piled in clear broth.
It warmed my insides with each spoonful.
Not overly greasy, it was easy for the elderly to enjoy, and seeing my picky mom enjoy it brought me great joy.
5. Deliciously Tender Baekdon Cold Pork
The cold pork we ordered was chilled and incredibly tender.
It melted in my mouth with each bite, leaving only the rich flavor of the pork.
6. Perfectly Balanced Baekdon Spicy Pork Salad
The spicy pork salad was a delightful mix of spicy, sweet, and sour, enhancing our appetite.
7. Refreshing Spicy Gomtang
Finally, we tried the spicy gomtang, which had a deep flavor enhanced by the special sauce.
If you prefer a light style, I recommend the Baekdon Gomtang; if you want something spicier, go for the spicy gomtang.
This family gathering was genuinely satisfying, thanks to the clean space, honest ingredients, and deep flavors.
If you visit Anseong and are looking for a good restaurant, I highly recommend trying a bowl of Baekdon Gomtang.
