A Delightful Tuna Experience at Daejin Dowon Tuna in Gangnam Station

Hello everyone, this is Matsutongsan Sam!
I recently visited my favorite tuna restaurant near Gangnam Station: Daejin Dowon Tuna.

Daejin Dowon Tuna, Gangnam Station
Approximately a 3-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 12.
A premium tuna restaurant specializing in Mediterranean tuna.
Since break time is from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM, I made a reservation for 4:30 PM and arrived then.
It was 4:30 PM on a Friday evening!
It was a drizzly day.
Contrary to the old saying that you shouldn't eat raw fish on rainy days,
these days, many company dinners are held at Japanese restaurants even when it rains.
Dowon Tuna is located on the B1 floor of Mokhwa Millat in Yeoksam-dong.
It's already a well-known and very famous tuna restaurant.
Specializing in Mediterranean Bluefin tuna...
Being a premium tuna restaurant...
It's perfect for company dinners, business meetings, and dates in Gangnam!
Reservation status board.
I was guided to room number 12.
Despite the rain, there were quite a few reservations.
Just by looking at the size of the bar seats,
you can tell it's quite a large restaurant.
There are various private rooms for different group sizes.
They can accommodate up to 40 people, so it's great for group dinners.
If you're looking for a private room restaurant in Gangnam Station that can accommodate large groups,
this might be the best place.
I arrived about 5 minutes before my reservation time and took some pictures.
There were two of us, but they gave us a 6-person private room to use comfortably!
I ordered the Hon Gold Single Plate, which includes the highest quality Bluefin tuna, snow crab, soy sauce marinated crab, and abalone.
It's a single plate set without unlimited refills, and the price is ₩103,000 per person.
It's not just luxurious menus.
Lunch is in the ₩10,000 range, and dinner is in the ₩20,000 range...
There are quite a few reasonably priced options.
I simply had a glass of beer.
My companion, CH, barely drinks...
So I restrained myself a bit too. ^^
The Hon Gold Single Plate started with porridge and miso soup.
Seaweed, sea urchin roe, and salmon roe were also served!
Salad and aged kimchi.
Buttered corn salad and tuna simmered in soy sauce were also served.
Solo drinking time... a sip of Cass...
CH downed a glass of water~ haha
I warmed up my stomach with porridge.
Then, I devoured the sea urchin roe and salmon roe as the first appetizer.
Actually, I like sushi more than sashimi...
Delicious tuna sushi...
A gourmet date with a good person
is always a happy experience, right? ^^
The main tuna platter arrived.
CH was so impressed by the stunning visuals
that she took many photos. ♡
Premium tuna cuts like the Bluefin tuna belly, otoro, and chutoro...
The Bluefin tuna belly looked amazing.
It had a crunchy texture
and a tender, melt-in-your-mouth sensation.
The chutoro had a fluffy texture,
like beef tenderloin!
I also ate it on seaweed...
Adding a little bit of tuna guts pickled in salt on top...
It was an explosion of umami... perfect as a side dish for alcohol!
But I only had a few sips of beer...
The appearance of snow crab and soy sauce marinated crab...
I'm so happy that such a variety of dishes are served!
Grilled abalone and fried flounder were also served.
The flounder was more like grilled than fried.
The grilled flounder was salty...
It was perfect for my taste. ^^
I ate the abalone in one bite...
The chewy abalone was very impressive!
The snow crab was prepared so that it was easy to get the meat out.
The shrimp tempura was really delicious...
The flesh was tender and bouncy,
it was very tasty.

I think it was codfish spicy soup,
but the broth was perfect as a hangover cure.
I didn't drink much,
so I didn't need a hangover cure,
but I still enjoyed it.

Crab ramen also appeared...
I wonder where this course ends? haha
The salty crab ramen
was perfect for my taste!

Now, the final bibimbap and maki are served.
Gangnam Station tuna restaurant that was great for a date...
I should consider it as a group dinner venue later.

Generous portions, great for drinking...
And I really liked that it had private room tables.
Anyway, it's a place with many advantages.
This is the end of my Gangnam Station restaurant date.
