A Delightful Dining Experience at Sanbangsan Restaurant

Last week, before enjoying the hot springs at Sanbangsan with my family, we decided to fill our stomachs at a popular restaurant on Yongmeori Coast.
We had a delicious meal featuring boneless hairtail stew, making it easy to eat, along with a flavorful seaweed soup that truly showcased the chef's skills.
We visited Sanbangsan Restaurant, located just a minute's drive from Hwangwoochi Beach, which also has a dedicated parking lot.
Upon entering, I immediately sensed the restaurant's popularity due to the number of customers present.
After checking the menu on the wall, we ordered a hearty meal that included boneless hairtail stew, abalone and crab porridge, sea urchin and whelk noodle soup, and sea urchin and whelk seaweed soup.
Before long, our table was set with a feast. The main dishes, along with various side dishes, were visually appealing!
One of the highlights was the grilled whole hairtail ordered by my friend. It was perfectly cooked, and the staff even prepared it for us, making it very convenient to eat.
The side dishes were impressive, showcasing a variety typical of Korean cuisine, all prepared by the owner, which added to our trust in the meal.
Among the sides was stir-fried ham and fish cake, perfectly seasoned with a sweet and savory sauce that made it a true rice thief!
Additionally, there were sliced pickled peppers that complemented the grilled fish wonderfully.
We also enjoyed a spicy seasoned vegetable dish made with chili powder instead of sesame oil, providing a subtle heat and delightful aroma.
To my surprise, there was even tomato spaghetti on the menu, generously garnished with parsley, enhancing its visual appeal.
The chewy noodles mixed well with the tomato sauce, and everything was just perfect.
The restaurant's class was evident as they offered both Korean side dishes and pasta, making it a great place for families with children.
The Cajun fries were crispy and delicious too!
Next, we tried the sea urchin, abalone, and whelk noodle soup. The broth looked rich and inviting, topped generously with abalone and sea urchin.
The broth was incredibly refreshing and flavorful, showcasing the true essence of the sea urchin.
After savoring the broth, I tackled the noodles, which had a unique brown color due to the addition of seaweed, and they were perfectly chewy.
The abalone and crab porridge was another highlight, with a mild flavor that was perfect for a light meal.
The combination of the abalone's subtle taste and the sweetness of the crab was delightful.
Even without additional seasoning, it was delicious on its own, but pairing it with some radish kimchi was a refreshing twist!
Finally, we enjoyed the popular boneless hairtail stew, a favorite among locals.
The special seasoning was perfectly absorbed by the fish, making it incredibly flavorful.
The fish was fresh and tender, making it easy to enjoy with a spoonful of rice and the spicy broth.
Overall, our dining experience at Sanbangsan Restaurant was delightful, and we left fully satisfied!
