A Delicious Yellowtail (Buri) Omakase Experience at Jumunjin Makhoe in Icheon

It's yellowtail season again, and I was craving something really fresh.
I started looking for a good yellowtail restaurant near my house in Icheon. A yellowtail enthusiast friend recommended Jumunjin Makhoe.
The portions looked generous, and the yellowtail in the photos they sent had an exceptional color, so I visited right away.
They also provide a great set of basic side dishes, so you can enjoy your meal even more. If you like yellowtail, I highly recommend visiting.
We had the yellowtail omakase. It cost ₩50,000 per person for 5 people.
I liked that they served the yellowtail in different cuts so that we could enjoy each part's unique flavor.
The slices were about three times as thick as those at a regular raw fish restaurant, so we were able to eat our fill.
Jumunjin Makhoe has a truly local vibe, and they give you a lot of extras, so my visit exceeded my expectations.
When you go to this famous Icheon yellowtail restaurant, you'll see many celebrity autographs.
It seems like singer Namjin visited too, as his autograph is prominently displayed on the wall.
After eating there, I understood why so many people have visited.
This is the Jumunjin Makhoe menu. They also sell octopus, in addition to yellowtail.
The friend who recommended this place also said the stews are really delicious, so I was looking forward to trying them.
As expected of a yellowtail restaurant, the menu was concise.
It was even better because I could eat fresh seafood near my house.

You can see how thick the slices are. The flavor is rich, savory, and nutty in your mouth.
They explained in detail how the textures differ by cut and how to best enjoy each flavor.
At Jumunjin Makhoe, you can eat 12kg of natural-caught yellowtail.
I was surprised by how much they served, not just how fresh it was.
I was amazed by the chewy texture and the savory flavor of the thick slices.
It's really delicious to put a little wasabi on white kimchi, wrap the yellowtail in seaweed, and dip it in sesame oil.
I wondered if the yellowtail I had eaten until now was even real yellowtail.
Thanks to Jumunjin Makhoe, I had a really delicious meal.
They even gave us complimentary boiled octopus, puffer fish milt, and spicy seafood noodle soup, which are usually hard to find.
The composition was so complete and delicious that I couldn't tell what the main dish was.
They bring in seasonal fish every time, so I thought it would be a good place for important appointments or company dinners.
The owner said that eating it with white kimchi cuts the greasiness and is really delicious, so I tried it, and it was better than expected.

It was really delicious to put a little wasabi on it and layer it with white kimchi and seaweed.
Even the rare belly meat...
Thanks to this Icheon yellowtail restaurant, I tried the belly meat for the first time.
Just as I was about to get up after eating everything, they brought out a plate of the precious belly meat.
I tasted my first belly meat as a service.
They say that if you say you came after seeing it on the blog, you'll get even more side dishes, so keep that in mind.
The belly meat was as precious as it was delicious.
It was soft, fatty, and the savory flavor was crazy.
The texture was moist, but I felt elasticity as I chewed.
It was also sweet as I chewed, and since it's a special cut, I enjoyed it.
Thanks to Jumunjin Makhoe, I also tried the boiled octopus. The texture was really chewy.
It had a subtle sea scent, was savory, sweet, and flavorful, so it became more delicious the more I chewed.
I was hesitant to eat different kinds of seafood, but it was great that they let me eat a little bit as a basic side dish.
I only went to eat yellowtail, but I had a really hearty meal.
Thanks to Jumunjin Makhoe's omakase, I was able to eat parts that are usually hard to find.
I tried puffer fish milt for the first time that day, and it was soft and savory.
It became more savory as I chewed, and I felt a subtle sweetness.
It hardly smelled fishy, and they cooked it deliciously, so it was good to chew and eat.
It's subtly addictive, so I think I ate almost all of it.
If I had gone to a regular raw fish restaurant, I don't think I would have been able to eat this.
I liked that they gave me generous portions and made me feel the texture even better.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant was cozy and quiet, so the advantage was that I could focus on the taste.
The spicy seafood noodle soup contained savory soybean paste, red pepper paste, and spicy green peppers, so I felt like I was getting a hangover cure right away.
The broth was deep and spicy, and the taste was good.
The heavy flavor was so good every time I took a bite that I ate it without leaving a drop of broth.
It's served as a service, but the amount is so large that several people can share it.
