Hello, it's Gureuming, back after a long time! :)

This time, I visited Chokseokru, known as a famous restaurant in Guri, Gyeonggi Province!

I braced myself for a long wait, as I heard there are often queues even on weekdays.

So, let's dive right into my review of Chokseokru!

I visited around 2 PM on a weekday.

I thought there wouldn't be many people because of the break time from 3 to 5 PM, but...

There were about 3 teams ahead of us... The popularity is real!

Truly a Guri 맛집 (delicious restaurant), Chokseokru... ㅜㅜ

The waiting process was simply lining up in front of the restaurant...!

After a long wait, we finally got in! ㅠㅠㅠ

I heard that Chokseokru is famous for its Ganjajang (black bean noodles with stir-fried sauce) and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), so

We ordered a large portion of Ganjajang, Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), and a small Tangsuyuk.

After reading other blogs about Chokseokru, I saw reviews saying that the Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) broth was delicious and that they should have ordered Jjamppong,

So we also ordered Jjamppong ㅋㅋ

They provided the basics: pickled radish, onions, and Chunjang (black bean sauce).

Because Chokseokru is busy, they seemed to be using disposable cutlery.

They also brought cold water and paper cups.

Since we visited before the break time, we told them our order in advance.

While waiting, I looked around the restaurant and it really had that old-school Chinese restaurant vibe~

Also, as expected of a famous Guri restaurant, Chokseokru had takeout and delivery orders.

They were delivering food in metal carriers~~~

Neighborhood Chinese restaurants are disappearing a lot these days ㅠㅠ The old-fashioned vibe is strong~

The Ganjajang we ordered came out first.

Thick stir-fried black bean sauce and noodles sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Just looking at it makes my mouth water,,,

Since we ordered a large portion, the quantity was also huge.

It seemed like it would be good to mix with rice,,,^^

(But I was so full that I couldn't eat rice,,ㅜ)

The taste of the Jajangmyeon was slightly sweet, like a more upscale version of Chapagetti!

But it definitely wasn't a cheap taste!! ㅎㅎ

The Jjamppong came out soon after.

There were a lot of vegetables and quite a lot of Manila clams and mussels in it.

After tasting a spoonful of the broth, it had a refreshing and clean taste, perhaps because of the vegetable broth.

I like a thicker style, but it was still cleanly delicious!

Perhaps because there were a lot of Manila clams, squid, and mussels,

They gave us a plate to put the shells in!

Ah, the color of the Tangsuyuk is amazing, right????

The sauce has a slightly ketchup-mixed, sweet taste?!

And the Tangsuyuk wasn't the chewy, glutinous rice type like Kkwabaerou XX

It was an old-fashioned Tangsuyuk with a crispy texture.

The meat wasn't tough and was moist, so it was savory.

I prefer dipping over pouring, so I dipped it generously and ate it.

I also ate the onions inside~ So happy ㅠㅠ

I took some of mine and ate it from the plate the Ganjajang was in.

The vegetables were chopped into small pieces,

So I scooped it up and ate it with a spoon!!!

Chokseokru in Guri is the best,,,, ㅜㅜ

We were almost the last ones left,

They were packing the pickled radish for takeout and delivery.

I like to have a drink with my meal, so I ordered a bottle of beer,

But I was so full and everything was so delicious that

I was like, "Oh yeah!!" and had a sip ㅋㅋ

My partner had to drive, so they resisted~~

Chokseokru in Guri doesn't have many tables!!

Including our table, there were 5 tables for 4 people.

And because the Ganjajang is famous, they're constantly stir-frying it,

So the turnover wasn't great ㅠㅠ But it was like being compensated for the time we waited.

I'm glad I ate such delicious food~

You can see that we cleaned our plates. Kiki,,,

There were aprons near the entrance.

My tip is that if you visit on a weekday either right when they open or before 12 PM, you can probably eat without waiting!

On weekends, if you come before opening hours, there probably won't be a wait!!

I parked at the 9th Public Parking Lot,

It cost 800 won per hour, so parking was cheap.

Nearby private parking lots were too expensive, and the owners seemed to be parking in front of their stores.

It's a bit of a walk, but parking in the public parking lot is easier on the mind and the wallet!!!

The parking lot seemed to be divided into underground floors 1 and 2.

The left picture is the parking lot you see right when you enter, and the right picture is the parking area if you go up to the right from the entrance.
