A long-awaited visit to Sunhee's Bindaetteok!

I went twice in two weeks during September.

Coincidentally?! Both times were with my fellow students.

LOL

First Visit

We had yukhoe (beef tartare) at Buchon Yukhoe for the first round and came here for the second.

Since everyone was already full,

we ordered just one assorted platter for five people.

I thought they might question why five people were only ordering this little,

but the order was taken without a word.

As soon as we ordered, soy sauce and kimchi came out.

Water is self-service.

The assorted platter includes:

Two mung bean pancakes (bindaetteok),

and one meat pancake.

It was the perfect amount for everyone to have a taste.

I've been avoiding oily foods lately due to dieting,

so eating a thick mung bean pancake after a long time

was so delicious.

As soon as I finished eating, I vowed to come back again...

I think I visited Gwangjang Market really often this summer...

lol

Just a week after vowing to return...

I came back sooner than expected.

lol

This time, we came for the first round and

ordered an assorted pancake platter, yukhoe, and makgeolli (rice wine).

It's delicious on its own,

but it was even better with makgeolli.

The bindaetteok is thick and so delicious.

Looking at the pictures makes me want to eat it again...

They served radish soup with the yukhoe.

The yukhoe wasn't bad, but

I'll just stick to the bindaetteok at Sunhee's Bindaetteok...

We had a great time eating, so

we decided to walk home.

I took a picture because the moon was pretty.

I usually pass by this road often, but

Dongdaemun intersection was especially frequented this summer.

We enjoyed the moon view at Naksan Park a bit more

and walked home.

It's only been a month to a month and a half ago,

but it feels like a long time ago and already somewhat nostalgic,

Summer of 2025.
