A Delicious Meal at Asura in Gijang: A Restaurant Review
1628 Bansong-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan

A few days ago, I visited a restaurant in Gijang called Asura, highly recommended by a friend.
It was a place with a clear advantage: they use high-quality beef, allowing you to enjoy the inherent flavor of the meat without any unpleasant odors.
Asura
Address: 1628 Bansong-ro, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, South Korea
Hours: 10:00 - 20:10 / Closed every Tuesday
Asura, which I visited that day, was about a 7-minute drive from Gijang Gymnasium.
The neat white sign with the name 'Asura' clearly written on it was easy to spot.
There was ample parking space around the restaurant, making it convenient to visit by car.
In particular, the fact that it's open from 10 AM to 8:10 PM makes it very attractive, as you can dine at any time of the day.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a clean and tidy interior, with all tables being the seated type, making it easy to sit down comfortably.
Next to the table at the Gijang restaurant, there was a menu, offering a variety of choices not only for meat but also for alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
The friendly guidance of the staff made it a pleasant start.
What caught my eye after sitting down was the origin labeling on the wall.
It was a part where I could feel the owner's meat selection criteria, so my expectations naturally rose.
As soon as I sat down, the basic side dishes were served.
It was fun to taste each one, with a simple yet well-matched composition to the main dish.
The perilla leaf pickles, seasoned with a salty flavor, were also provided in generous amounts, making them perfect for stimulating the appetite.
Among the basic side dishes at Gijang, the white kimchi was particularly memorable.
The moderately ripe taste refreshed my mouth.
The pickles also came out generously, playing a role in stimulating my appetite.
Thanks to the sweet and crunchy texture, I kept reaching for them.
Corn, which children would love, was also provided.
The savory and sweet taste harmonized, and the popping texture made it fun.
Finally, the main menu, rolled meat, appeared.
The rounded shape was prepared very neatly.
Perhaps because they used good meat, the color was excellent.
I could feel the freshness in the vivid color of the bright red meat.
Personally, the mushroom was a delicacy.
It was a Gijang restaurant where you could grill and enjoy mushrooms along with the rolled meat.
The staff meticulously grilled the meat from beginning to end.
Thanks to this, I was able to eat easily, and the doneness of the meat was perfect.
The rolled meat, which made my mouth water from the visuals,
I tried dipping it in sauce.
It was so wonderful that no further explanation was needed.
Enjoying it with perilla leaf pickles created a harmony of unique aroma and texture.
It further enhanced the chewy texture of the meat.
It was also mild and savory, making it easy to eat with rice.
The soft texture of the rolled meat filled my mouth with flavor.
Enjoying it with various side dishes made the meal continue without any boredom.
Thanks to the clean taste without any unpleasant odors, it was memorable.
During the meal at Gijang, I also ordered yukjeon (thinly sliced beef pan-fried in a light batter) separately.
Both the taste and visuals were satisfactory, making it a delicacy.
The soft texture and deep meat juice
It boasted a luxury that was clearly different from the yukjeon I had ever eaten.
A slight dip in soy sauce maximized the savory taste.
The finish of the meal was, of course, soybean paste stew.
The rich and savory broth had depth, and the firm texture of the tofu was also satisfying.
After eating a bowl of rice to the last bite like this,
I felt like I had enjoyed a really proper meal.
I confidently recommend Gijang, where both the taste and service were satisfactory.
