A Delicious Korean Beef BBQ Experience in Cheonan

My friend came to visit Cheonan, and we went to a famous restaurant for some delicious Korean beef (Hanwoo) BBQ.
From fresh raw beef to marinated ribs, the prices were reasonable, and the taste, service, and value for money were all excellent.
Already known as a local favorite, this Hanwoo beef specialty restaurant in Dujeong-dong was recommended to me by another acquaintance, and I've made it my regular spot.
It's located across from Cheonan Lotte Mart. The entire 1st and 2nd floors of the building are the restaurant, so you can immediately tell it's a large place from the outside.
Unlike typical restaurants, the first floor operates as a butcher shop where you can see and purchase the beef directly. They sell various cuts and sets, and sometimes I just buy the meat to grill at home.
After purchasing the meat on the 1st floor, you go up to the 2nd floor, which is set up with tables, including a self-service bar. There are plenty of tables for large groups.
The self-service bar has everything from sauces to salads and side dishes, so you can refill anything you need. There's always enough.
You can order Hanwoo beef not only on the 1st floor but also from the menu on the 2nd floor. Just ask for what you want.
However, if the cut you want isn't available, you can always buy it from the butcher shop on the 1st floor and bring it up.
While waiting for our order, various side dishes were served, including radish kimchi and white kimchi. Everything paired perfectly with the grilled meat, making the meal very enjoyable.
We made a reservation and received complimentary Chadolbagi (thinly sliced beef brisket) and Yukhoe (beef tartare) as a special treat. The flavors were amazing!
Even though they were complimentary, the quality wasn't low, and the portions were generous. You can even order more if you like them.
We started by grilling the Chadolbagi and enjoying it with the onion relish. The savory aroma filled my mouth, and it was so tender and quick to cook. I think it's great as an appetizer instead of a salad.
The Yukhoe, which allowed us to fully enjoy the natural flavor of the Hanwoo beef, was a hit with everyone. We ordered an extra serving. The sweetness of the pear eliminated the need for any other sauce.
The pears were crisp and fresh, and their subtle sweetness complemented the Yukhoe perfectly. It would be great as a snack with drinks.
In addition, there was beef, broth and prepared vegetables for Doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) in the refrigerator. It was easy to take them out and cook. The rich, savory flavor was amazing.
The stew was packed with ingredients, with meat making up half of it. It was always a pleasure to scoop it up and eat it with rice. It had a slight kick at the end.
The Hanwoo beef platter that I was most looking forward to included a variety of cuts, so we could each choose our favorites. The texture was firm and springy.
The grill was large, so we could cook a lot of meat at once. Adding mushrooms and zucchini made for a variety of delicious combinations.
Most of all, the meat was so fresh that we could adjust the cooking to our preferred style, whether rare or medium. Overall, the texture was soft and tender, and the savory flavor became more intense as we chewed.
The thinly sliced onion relish was especially to my liking, and I refilled it several times. At first, it was crisp, but later it became soaked in the sauce, making it incredibly flavorful. It was all-you-can-eat, so I enjoyed it without any hesitation.
The perfectly grilled Hanwoo beef was delicious with just a pinch of salt, allowing us to fully appreciate the savory flavor.
After finishing the BBQ, we ordered a bowl of Hanwoo ramen as a side dish. The broth was rich and flavorful, savory yet spicy, and the toppings were generous.
The tender Chadolbagi, chewy noodles, and the aroma of scallions all blended together perfectly. The generous toppings made it a filling meal.
While the spicy and hot broth was satisfying, I couldn't resist ordering Naengmyeon (cold noodles) after the Hanwoo beef.
The icy broth was refreshing and subtly seasoned. The noodles were chewy and easy to eat. It cleansed the meaty flavor from my mouth and was so filling that I couldn't stop eating.
I also recommend the Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) with Yukhoe, cucumber, egg, radish, and even seaweed flakes. The sauce was spicy with a hint of sweetness, making it enjoyable for everyone.
It's also good to eat it with the grilled meat that you deliberately left over, but if you order Yukhoe Bibim Naengmyeon, it's satisfying enough to eat with just the toppings that come with it.
Thanks to the variety of textures and the spicy, savory flavor, the meal felt like a perfect ending, and it wasn't a waste of money at all. I purposely visited this restaurant for my friend who came to Cheonan, and everyone said it was delicious.
It's a large restaurant with reasonable prices and high-quality Hanwoo beef. If you're struggling to choose a place for a gathering or company dinner, I highly recommend Baekmi Hanwoo.
Oh, and they have a soju and beer promotion for ₩3,000. Also, when you make a reservation through Naver, you get complimentary Hanwoo Yukhoe and Hanwoo sirloin at a wholesale price of ₩8,900. It's definitely one of the best value-for-money restaurants in Cheonan.
