A Delicious Family Meal at Galbi Myeongga in Gapyeong

Hello!
This is Taetae Mom.
On the last day of our trip to Gapyeong, we checked out of the Aetdamon private pension just in time for lunch.
After enjoying a fun camping atmosphere the day before, we finished packing in the morning and even went for a swim, so we were all quite hungry.
While searching for a nearby restaurant, we stumbled upon Galbi Myeongga, a popular spot in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do.
It was just a 3-minute drive from the Aetdamon pension, making it very convenient. Most importantly, the pork ribs were incredibly delicious, and I couldn’t help but think, "I’m so glad we came here!"
Our family enjoyed a hearty meal of four servings at Galbi Myeongga, and I’d like to share my thoughts with you.
Location and Parking
Galbi Myeongga is conveniently located near the Aetdamon private pension and camping site.
It was great that we didn’t have to travel far after checking out to enjoy lunch.
When traveling with kids, having a short travel distance is really important.
Long car rides can be tiring for both kids and parents. Galbi Myeongga's close proximity made it easy for us to stop by.
We also found parking right in front of the restaurant, making our visit very comfortable.
Atmosphere Outside Galbi Myeongga
The exterior had a clean and cozy vibe typical of a neighborhood barbecue restaurant.
Sometimes, a warm and inviting atmosphere is more appealing than a fancy place while traveling.
From the outside, it looked like a popular spot for families, which raised my expectations even before we entered.
If you’re looking for a satisfying meal during your Gapyeong trip, I’d recommend saving Galbi Myeongga for your list.
Atmosphere Inside Galbi Myeongga
Once inside, the ambiance was comfortable and tidy.
It was a relaxed environment suitable for dining with kids, and the spacing between tables was decent, making it a great family dining spot.
After checking out from camping with a lot of luggage and tired kids, the cozy atmosphere allowed us to unwind during our meal.
Delicious Side Dishes
A restaurant with tasty side dishes is already halfway to success.
Galbi Myeongga served neat and delicious basic side dishes.
Each dish was well-balanced and complemented the meat, making us feel good from the start of our meal.
The marinated crab was a must-have with the pork ribs!
It was the highlight of the meal. The sweet and salty seasoning was perfectly absorbed, making it a rice thief!
Having the marinated crab on top of the pork ribs made it easy to finish a bowl of rice.
Delicious Grilled Pork Ribs
Finally, the long-awaited pork ribs arrived.
As soon as they hit the grill, a sweet aroma filled the air, and everyone fell silent.
As the meat cooked to a golden brown, the charcoal flavor added to the deliciousness.
Galbi Myeongga's pork ribs were not overly sweet, perfectly balancing the natural flavor of the meat.
The outside was slightly crispy while the inside remained juicy, prompting us to exclaim, "This is delicious!"
Even the kids loved it, and it was perfect for adult palates as well.
A piece of pork rib with a spoonful of rice, topped with marinated crab, was absolutely satisfying.
Taetae Mom usually tries not to overeat while traveling, but that day, I just kept going.
The meat was tender, the seasoning was flavorful, and all the side dishes were delicious.
In the end, our family enjoyed four servings of food together!
Galbi Myeongga was the perfect place to wrap up our trip with a hearty lunch.
Reasons to Visit After a Family Trip
If you’ve stayed at the Aetdamon private pension or camping site, you might have a hard time deciding where to eat after checking out.
It was wonderful to find a place that didn’t require traveling far, where the kids would eat well and the adults would be satisfied with the pork ribs.
I highly recommend Galbi Myeongga as a great spot for a family meal after your trip.
We left feeling full and happy on our way back home.
Lucky Draw Event
After our meal, there was also a lucky draw event.
Unfortunately, I couldn't take pictures, but the first prize was a 30,000 won voucher.
Such little events make the visit even more enjoyable.
It was an entertaining aspect that would interest kids, making it a nice touch for family guests.
I hope to capture some photos next time I visit!
