As January moves into its second half, the weather has been getting colder, making it the perfect time to seek warmth and comfort food.

Feeling a bit under the weather, I decided to take a trip to Eulwangri for some much-needed energy recovery!

After a relaxing two-day getaway filled with good food and rest, I knew that eel was a must for rejuvenation.

Upon hearing about a famous eel restaurant in the area, I eagerly headed to Pumjang!

With a unique system that allows you to choose your own eel, I was filled with anticipation for a hearty meal.

My experience at Pumjang was nothing short of satisfying.

Among the various restaurants I've visited, Pumjang ranks highly for both taste and service.

If the parking lot is full, there is also an underground parking option available, which is large enough to accommodate many vehicles.

This means parking worries can be set aside!

Now, let's talk about the eel selection at Pumjang.

When I arrived, I was impressed by the lively eels swimming in the tank, which hinted at their freshness.

Interestingly, Pumjang's eels are not only served to customers but are also provided as a special dish for national athletes.

This speaks volumes about the quality and energy-boosting properties of their eel!

Next to the tank, I noticed a fridge filled with cleaned eels packaged neatly. After selecting my preferred eel, I simply proceeded to checkout.

Once payment was completed, the eel was grilled and brought to our table, showcasing an efficient system.

The interior of Pumjang is spacious and tidy, with large windows offering a stunning view of Yeongjongdo.

The pathways are wide enough for easy movement, even with service robots around, ensuring a comfortable dining experience.

We were seated at a table that had windows on all sides, providing a breathtaking view while enjoying our meal.

Dining with family while soaking in the beautiful scenery brought immense joy.

Pumjang also features a nursing room, which is quite rare for restaurants, showing their consideration for customers with children.

Finally, it was time to dig into the eel we had chosen earlier, served alongside various side dishes such as pickled onions and lettuce.

For those who want more side dishes, there’s a self-serve bar with additional options, including plum tea and seaweed soup.

As the eel was grilled to perfection, it looked so appetizing that I couldn't wait to take a bite!

It was truly one of the best eels I've ever had, surpassing all my expectations.

The eel was juicy and flavorful, and paired with lettuce, it made for a delightful meal.

We also ordered a side of banquet noodles, which were rich and satisfying, far exceeding my expectations.

Pumjang is indeed a hidden gem in Eulwangri, and I highly recommend visiting for a taste of their famous eel!
