During a trip to Jeju Island with friends, we had the chance to visit a fantastic black pork BBQ restaurant in Hallim called The Seasoning.

I'd like to introduce you to this place where you can enjoy not only thick-cut pork but also a variety of seasoning options.

The Seasoning, which I visited this time, was about a 5-minute drive from Hyeopjae Beach.

Since it's located right in front of the beach, it was great to take a walk and enjoy the scenery before our meal.

There's a public parking lot across from the restaurant, making parking very convenient.

We drove there and were able to park and walk over.

Inside, the restaurant was spacious with four-person tables.

There were also larger tables available, which would be great for group dining.

I noticed many celebrity autographs on the wall.

It was fun to see the traces of so many famous people who had visited.

The self-service bar had a variety of side dishes in large containers.

There was a great selection of delicious-looking side dishes, so we could choose according to our preferences.

The menu included everything from black pork set menus to a la carte options.

After some consideration, we ordered a mixed set and a stew.

The fresh pork was slightly grilled over charcoal to give it a preliminary searing.

The thick-cut pork was infused with the aroma of the charcoal, making it look even more delicious as it cooked.

The basic side dishes were diverse, and the cooked pork was served in order, making it very appetizing.

The rich brown color of the pork and the juicy texture were particularly impressive.

As the restaurant's name is The Seasoning, they offered a wide variety of seasonings.

The seasonings were well-matched with the pork, so we could choose according to our taste.

The pre-grilled black pork had a very thick appearance.

The texture of the pork was visible, and the deep brown color was impressive.

The staff grilled the black pork to perfection, ensuring it was cooked through and tender.

It was savory and juicy.

We briefly heated the Mel젓 (fermented fish sauce) before dipping the pork in it.

It was refreshing without any unpleasant aftertaste.

Dipping it lightly in salt brought out the savory flavor and enhanced the umami.

The pork was tender and melted in my mouth.

The Nuoc Cham sauce had a unique flavor that kept me coming back for more.

The moderate spiciness and addictive umami were excellent.

The Shiitake mushroom salt had a subtle aroma and enhanced the original flavor of the pork.

The salty taste was noticeable, and the mushroom aroma was so good.

The white kimchi was delicious on its own, but it went even better with the grilled pork.

The crisp and clean taste was great, and the unique savory flavor was more intense.

We also grilled the bracken fern (고사리) with the pork and tried it.

Overall, it was mild and tender, and the savory taste went well with the pork.

The perilla leaves were tender and thin, so the seasoning was well absorbed.

The pork itself was savory, and the flavors blended harmoniously.

The young radish kimchi (얼갈이 겉절이) was fresh and had a crispy texture.

The sour seasoning was well-balanced, and it was savory when eaten with the pork.

The shredded scallions were crisp and freshly seasoned, so the texture was great.

The Jeju Hallim black pork restaurant's scallions had a unique pungent flavor.

The pickled radish (쌈무) was also sweet, sour, and crispy.

The thickness was just right, and the flavor that went well with the pork was impressive.

The fresh lettuce was great to wrap with the pork.

The pork was so savory that it tasted great no matter how we ate it.

The kimchi stew was rich and flavorful.

It was filled with generous amounts of black pork and kimchi.

The more it simmered, the richer the broth became, and the aged kimchi had a great crunchy texture.

The black pork absorbed the broth well, making it tender and flavorful.

There was plenty of tofu, making it a satisfying meal.

I highly recommend this Jeju Hallim black pork restaurant.
