A Delicious and Convenient Dakgalbi Experience in Myeongdong: Eun & Jung Myeongdong Dakgalbi

After exploring the vibrant streets of Myeongdong, I was looking for a satisfying dinner. I decided to visit Eun & Jung Myeongdong Dakgalbi, known as one of the best Dakgalbi restaurants in the Euljiro area!
The restaurant has a clean and welcoming exterior and a warm ambiance, making it a comfortable place to dine with family, friends, or a significant other.
[Operating Hours & Location]
Eun & Jung Myeongdong Dakgalbi is conveniently located near Euljiroipgu Station (Line 2), making it very accessible.
It's also close to the heart of Myeongdong, making it a perfect spot for a meal after shopping.
It's only a 5-minute walk from the station, making it easy to visit regardless of the weather. They are open for both lunch and dinner, and the quick turnover rate means you can usually get in without a wait! (I made a reservation in advance.)
[Interior]
The exterior was bright and clean, and the interior also featured warm lighting and wood-toned decor, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The restaurant is spacious, with seating for around 60 people, making it a great place for lunch gatherings for nearby office workers! (There were many families dining inside, so I only took pictures of the empty spaces.)
The tables are spaced comfortably apart, and the staff provides attentive service.
The open kitchen allows you to see the cooking process at a glance, giving you confidence in their hygiene practices.
[Menu]
This time, I ordered 2 servings of Cheese Dakgalbi, 2 servings of Fried Rice, and 2 Cokes.
The staff cooks the Dakgalbi directly on the iron griddle at your table. Once it's partially cooked, they split the center and generously sprinkle cheese on top, making it look incredibly appetizing.
I overheard when ordering that the chicken is marinated for 24 hours to eliminate any gamey taste, and they use antibiotic-free, domestically sourced refrigerated chicken thigh meat. (You can't go wrong with that!)
After a short wait, the cheese melts naturally and blends with the Dakgalbi, creating a cheese Dakgalbi with a rich, savory flavor that isn't too strong.
One bite and wow! The sauce wasn't too sweet or salty, but a classic Dakgalbi flavor that paired perfectly with rice.
It wasn't greasy, so it was easy to keep eating even when I was full.
The chicken wasn't dry, but perfectly cooked and tender!
After eating some of the Dakgalbi, we ordered fried rice, a must-have Korean dessert, to be made with the remaining sauce.
They stir-fry the rice with seaweed flakes and 100% Korean sesame oil until it's perfectly cooked. The aroma of the slightly burnt rice on the bottom was the perfect ending to the meal.
[Side Dishes & Service]
The basic side dishes include 4 types: pickled radish slices, pickled cabbage, stir-fried fish cakes, and seasoned bean sprouts.
They are perfect to eat with the Dakgalbi, and the sweet and sour pickled cabbage especially complements the savory flavor of the cheese Dakgalbi.
And here's a little tip! 😊
If you participate in their review event, you'll get a free drink, so be sure to participate! The combination of spicy Dakgalbi and a cold, fizzy drink is a perfect match.
After your meal, they also have coffee and fabric freshener available, so you can visit comfortably without worrying about lingering smells.
Overall, Eun & Jung Myeongdong Dakgalbi is a great Dakgalbi restaurant in the Euljiro area, offering convenience with their cook-at-the-table service, delicious flavors, and a clean atmosphere.
Next time, I want to try their Makguksu (buckwheat noodles) too!
