A Culinary Journey to Yanggopchang in Busan

If you're looking to savor authentic lamb intestines during your trip to Busan, this place is a must-visit. Located near Haeundae Jangsan Station, it offers a clean and elegant atmosphere where you can enjoy top-quality lamb intestines.
The moment the savory juices burst in your mouth, a genuine smile of happiness appears. With friendly service and neat side dishes, it's a place I definitely want to recommend.
???? Directions and Location
This restaurant is within walking distance from Jangsan Station on the Busan subway. It's also close to the Haeundae new town residential area, giving it a hidden gem vibe that locals often seek. However, since you have to walk up a hill, it's a good path to take your time on. It is located in the commercial area of Gyeongnam Seonggyeong Apartments in Jwa-dong.
The exact address is in Jwa-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, so using a map app will help you find it quickly.
???? Parking Information for a Comfortable Visit
Parking can be a concern in the Haeundae area, but fortunately, this place has an indoor parking lot and nearby public parking, making it convenient for those driving. However, since it is quite popular during the evening, I recommend using public transportation or checking for parking space availability before your visit.
???? Clean and Stylish Exterior
The exterior of the restaurant exudes a vibe that says, "This is a good restaurant." The sophisticated sign and entrance catch the eye without being overly flashy. The softly lit exterior creates a warm atmosphere even before you step inside, making it a lovely backdrop for a quick photo.
???? Neat and Comfortable Interior Atmosphere
Upon entering, you can feel that the place is well-maintained and clean, without the typical greasy atmosphere of a meat restaurant. The spacing between tables is just right for intimate conversations while enjoying your meal.
The ventilation system is excellent, minimizing any lingering odors on your clothes, which I greatly appreciated. The warm wooden tones of the interior added to the comfort, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
???? Neat Basic Side Dishes
The basic side dishes served were perfectly complemented by the rich and light flavors of the lamb intestines. The tangy taste awakened my appetite, making it hard to resist more.
Crisp young radish kimchi and pickled vegetables added a nice touch as well.
Special dipping sauce made with radish was served, offering a refreshing and clean flavor. The table was filled with various side dishes.
???? A Savory Experience Bursting in Your Mouth
We ordered the signature set menu from Yanggopchang Gojip, a popular restaurant near Jangsan Station. It felt essential to try the set menu. We ordered a plate of lamb intestines and the beef large intestine hot pot, Motsunabe. The plate of lamb intestines was served first.
The staff grilled it perfectly, allowing us to enjoy well-cooked large and small intestines without any unpleasant odors. They even placed the nicely grilled intestines on our plates, ready for dipping in the special sauce. The savory flavors bursting in my mouth made it hard to stop eating. My eldest daughter was surprised to discover such a hidden gem near our home and expressed regret for not knowing about it sooner.
The rich and flavorful lamb intestines were simply delicious, with a chewy texture that enhanced the taste.
Finally, the beef large intestine hot pot, Motsunabe, was served. We placed it on the table and brought it to a boil before enjoying it. Diners at the adjacent table noticed our Motsunabe and immediately ordered it as well. The light yet spicy broth filled us up nicely.
???? Honest Taste Evaluation
We had a delightful time at Yanggopchang Gojip. It was great to enjoy large and small intestines all at once, especially paired with their unique dipping sauce.
Pairing it with a highball made it even more enjoyable. This place has a variety of unique drinks that add to both the visual and culinary experience. Regular visitors even store their own drinks here. Among the accompanying vegetables, the pumpkin was particularly delicious.
And of course, we couldn't skip the fried rice. The rice, beautifully stir-fried on the grill, was irresistible. The combination of seaweed flakes and sesame oil enhanced the flavor significantly.
