The table was filled with side dishes, each carefully prepared. The neatly arranged side dishes enhanced the dining experience.
The glossy soy sauce marinated crab (ganjang gejang) was particularly appetizing. The savory and salty crab seemed like a perfect rice thief.
Upon lifting a piece of crab, I noticed it was packed with meat. The firm and succulent crab meat conveyed the freshness of the ingredients.
The Jeju black pork belly (heukdwaeji suyuk) was served looking delicious. The elastic texture of the pork proved it was perfectly cooked.
I tried a bite with the refreshing scallion salad. The crisp vegetables nicely balanced the richness of the pork.
The seafood stew (ttukbaegi) was filled with fresh seafood. The rich aroma of the sea heightened my anticipation for the dish.
A large and plump abalone was clearly visible in the stew, asserting its presence and stimulating everyone's appetite.
A sizable yellow crab (hwangge) also caught my eye. The red crab shell floating on top of the stew made my mouth water.
I couldn't resist trying the grilled tilefish (okdom gui), which had a savory aroma. The golden-brown surface assured me it was perfectly grilled.
I was curious about the texture of the inside, contrasting with the crispy exterior. The generous size of the fish made me happy, knowing there would be plenty of meat to enjoy.
I carefully separated a piece of the fish and savored its flavor. It melted in my mouth, leaving a rich and savory taste.
The braised cutlassfish (galchi jorim), the main dish, was served in a large pot. The sight of the fish simmered in the red sauce was impressive.
I mixed the sauce with rice and took a generous bite. The combination of spiciness and sweetness created an addictive flavor.
Lifting a large piece of cutlassfish, I could feel its weight. The plumpness of the fish left no doubt about its freshness.
I carefully placed it on my plate to check the texture of the meat. The bones were easily removed, confirming it was perfectly cooked.
I placed a piece of the braised fish on a spoonful of rice. The sauce permeated the rice, creating a deep and rich flavor.
The braised radish at the bottom was bursting with sweetness. It was amazing how it crumbled and disappeared as soon as I bit into it.
This was a perfect meal where I could enjoy Jeju's representative dishes. I think it's the perfect place to start or end a trip to Jeju.
