Eager to start my trip with a delicious meal, I naturally headed to a restaurant known for its outstanding mackerel sashimi in Jeju.

When the mackerel sashimi set was placed on the table, I was impressed by its neat and elaborate presentation.
The generous and well-prepared spread allowed me to appreciate the chef's dedication.
The exterior of the building had a traditional charm that caught my eye.
Even before entering, I could sense the expertise of the place.
Inside, the fish were swimming actively in the tanks.
Seeing the live seafood with my own eyes gave me confidence in the freshness of the ingredients.
On the wall, there were detailed instructions on how to best enjoy the food.
I was touched by the thoughtful guidance, which made it easy for even first-time visitors to savor the dishes.
After being seated, I carefully examined the menu of this famous mackerel sashimi restaurant in Jeju, looking at the various courses.
The wide range of options available, depending on the number of people in your party, made it easy to choose.
Simple side dishes and appetizers were served first, filling up the table space.
It seemed like you could easily have a light meal with just these.
The rice balls, glistening with oil, gave off a savory aroma and made their presence known.
Their round shape was cute, and they seemed like they would guarantee a satisfying meal.
The golden-brown pancake had a unique visual appeal.
The addition of curry gave it an intriguing charm, with a color that immediately caught the eye.
Taking a bite, the flavor of turmeric spread through my mouth, leaving a fragrant aftertaste.
Its moist texture made it an excellent appetizer.
The well-grilled mackerel also strongly stimulated my appetite.
Because it was slowly grilled at the right temperature, the oil was rendered out, leaving it wonderfully crispy.
Wrapped in a piece of seaweed and dipped lightly in the pickled onion sauce, the combination was amazing.
The fish's natural savory flavor was enhanced by the tangy sauce, revitalizing my palate.
A plate of mackerel sashimi was elegantly presented, showcasing its freshness.
Looking at the transparent, glistening slices, there was no doubt about the quality.
Dipping a piece in the red pepper paste (gochujang) and eating it, I felt a chewy texture on my tongue.
I could taste the coolness of the sea, leaving a rich flavor behind.
I placed a thick slice of sashimi on a piece of seaweed and popped it into my mouth.
The perfect saltiness complemented the raw fish, creating a flawless taste.
I also tried making a wrap with fresh lettuce and various ingredients, making my cheeks full.
The crispness of the vegetables added to the clean and refreshing taste of the wrap.
The clear soup (jiri-tang), with its subtle savory aroma, was served in a earthenware pot.
The steam rising from it filled the air with its fragrance, making it impossible to ignore.
Not only fish but also tofu and vegetables were generously included, making it a hearty dish.
Anyone suffering from a hangover could instantly soothe their stomach with this.
The subtly spicy aroma of the braised cutlassfish (galchi jorim) at this Jeju mackerel sashimi restaurant made my mouth water again.
The pot was filled with chunks of fish, making it a great value for the price.
Lifting up a piece, it was incredibly thick, with plenty of meat to eat.
It felt substantial, and I felt like one piece would be enough to fill me up.
Putting it on my plate and looking at the flesh, it was perfectly cooked.
Because it was so tender, removing the small bones was easy.
Putting it in my mouth, the deep, savory flavor of the braised fish coated the rice, leaving a lingering taste.
The moderate spiciness spread through my mouth, creating a powerful sensation.
Tasting the well-braised radish separately, I could confirm that the sauce had penetrated deeply.
Its melt-in-your-mouth texture made it perfectly enjoyable.
I was satisfied because it was a hearty meal that filled my stomach before embarking on my trip.
