A Culinary Adventure at Perehil in Seoul
서울특별시 성동구 연무장길 37-22 1층 페레

This post documents a visit to Perehil, a Spanish restaurant in Seoul run by Woojin, known from the show “Transit Love 4.”
From the waiting process using Catch Table to signature dishes like shrimp bisque pasta, squid ink seafood paella, and pulpo, this review covers the full dining experience.
Below, you’ll find detailed waiting tips, seating impressions, food reviews, and why Perehil is worth the long wait when visiting Seoul.
Why I Visited Perehil in Seoul
As someone obsessed with “Transit Love 4,” visiting the restaurant run by Woojin was a must during my Seoul trip. On top of that, it serves Spanish cuisine, which made the visit even more irresistible.
How to Wait: Catch Table System
Perehil does accept reservations, but I missed the timing and had to rely on the Catch Table waiting system for walk-ins.
For lunch, Catch Table waiting opens at 10:30 AM. The process is simple: log in to Catch Table, search for Perehil, tap waiting, and refresh right at opening time.
I entered exactly at 10:30 without logging in beforehand and ended up 26th in line. The total waiting time was about three hours.
It’s important to note that direct on-site waiting is not allowed. I recommend heading to the restaurant only when your waiting number drops to around 7 or 8.

Seating and First Impressions
After a long wait, I was finally seated at the bar table. While window seats are popular, sitting at the bar was a great experience because I could watch the entire cooking process.
Woojin himself was there, serving guests, explaining the menu, and handling payments. Making eye contact while he explained each dish definitely added to the excitement.
My mom mentioned it was cold while waiting, and Woojin even turned on a heater for her. She joked that he truly looked like a celebrity.
Popular Menu Items at Perehil
The most popular dishes here are the shrimp bisque pasta and pulpo. I’ve also heard great things about the steak, which I plan to try on my next visit.
Before the meal, bread is served with olive oil and tomato, offering a refreshing start.
Recommended dishes include:
- Shrimp Bisque Pasta
- Squid Ink Seafood Paella
- Pulpo
Shrimp Bisque Pasta
The shrimp bisque pasta features a rich bisque sauce paired with grilled Argentine shrimp.
My mom said it was delicious, which alone made it trustworthy. The shrimp was incredibly tender and easy to peel.
Squid Ink Seafood Paella
This dish is highly recommended. At first, I worried the squid ink might make it too heavy, but it was surprisingly balanced.
The top layer was nicely crispy, and it paired perfectly with the garlic sauce.
Pulpo
Pulpo is soft Spanish octopus served with potatoes and smoked paprika aioli.
Woojin explained that they only use top-quality Spanish octopus. The potatoes underneath were extremely tender and complemented the dish well.
Elotitos (Complimentary Dish)
Elotitos are fried corn seasoned with cheese and served with aioli.

Service, Photos, and Final Thoughts
While paying, I asked Woojin for a photo, and he kindly agreed. Almost everyone was taking pictures with him as they left.
Woojin explained each menu item in detail, and the staff were friendly throughout. The food was excellent, and if the waiting process aligns, I could easily see myself visiting often.
I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Seoul.
