A Cozy Brunch at The Baker's Table in Itaewon

Friday night, I suddenly craved brunch for the next morning. I looked around Gimpo, but all the new, large cafes had the same style of brunch menu. Nothing really appealed to me ㅠ_ㅠ... Then, The Baker's Table, a place I'd visited a few times before, popped into my head. Delicious brunch, tasty bread, and above all, amazing soup. I fondly remembered visiting during a cold winter! Since it was rainy and chilly, it seemed like the perfect menu.
The Baker’s Table: Basic Information & Location
Address: 244-1 Noksapyeong-daero, Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
Hours: Weekdays 08:00 ~ 21:00 / Weekends (Sat·Sun) 08:00 ~ 20:00

The Baker's Table truly lives up to the description of a “German bakery restaurant” with its unique atmosphere. The bread display is full, the subtle aroma of bread fills the air, and during brunch time, it quickly gets crowded. I barely managed to snag a seat even though it was early. Apparently, it's a place that has received many Blue Ribbons. I had brunch here with friends many years ago (more than 10 years ago, I think), and there's a reason why it's still standing strong!
Menu
The Baker's Table menu is quite diverse. They offer German-style brunch/breakfast menus, sandwiches/paninis, soups & stews, and authentic German dishes (schnitzel, bratwurst, etc.), making it hard to choose... Since it's a soup 맛집 (delicious restaurant), you absolutely have to order the soup, and bread to dip in it... Since I came for brunch, I also have to order a brunch dish... And coffee.... ^^....
I ordered the tomato soup. It has a slightly spicy flavor, which feels like a hangover cure. It's warm... Perfect to eat in the morning ㅠ...
This is The Baker's Brunch. You can choose your eggs, and Dal-kong eats any kind of egg dish, while Al-kong likes scrambled eggs, so we ordered scrambled. The sausage was also delicious, and the fries were, of course, amazing!
I was also curious about the panini, so I ordered it. I didn't really need to order bread, but I got an onion focaccia to dip in the soup... The combination was fantastic. Next time, I think I'll skip the panini and just eat it with bread. I want to eat it again ㅠㅠ
I was so full that I took one bite of the panini, my husband ate one side, and we packed the rest to go. Orders were constantly coming in through Coupang Eats for delivery. If you live nearby, it would be great to order delivery. The Baker's Table brunch at home... Kya!
The latte was decent, and I wasn't sure if coffee came with the brunch dish, but in addition to the two lattes we ordered, an Americano was also served ㅋㅋ. I loved the Americano. It was nutty!
Dal-kong was holding her fork and eating diligently, which means it's a delicious place. She likes Western food... She loves eggs and french fries... The tomato soup was a bit spicy, but she seemed to like it and ate it with milk, saying 'It's a little spicy, but I can eat it!'
The seating was awkward, so we sat at a standing table, and we could secretly peek at the cooking process right next to the preparation area ㅎㅎ.
Our children are early birds, so we can probably park and eat without any trouble if we go for the open run on weekends (when we have some free time ㅎ...). We even went for a walk in Namsan Park after eating, which was perfect. We promised to walk all the way to Namsan Tower next time and then headed home :)
It was a delicious brunch. I'll go back to eat it again soon! It was a happy weekend morning...???
