I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to blog for a while.
To celebrate the new year, I decided to organize my photo album and share some daily updates.
Even if it's not interesting, just say it's fun!
I just love you!
January
January 1st! I kicked off the year with some daytime drinks.
The suspicious Makchang in Wangsimni is truly delicious!
The soybean paste rice is a perfect match with soju.
I stumbled upon some amazing chocolate fish-shaped bread on the street.
It's the best fish-shaped bread I've ever tasted!
I wonder if it will still be there this year.
I suddenly craved something spicy, so I went to Hanyang University for some spicy chicken feet.
It's quite spicy, so be careful if you're not used to it!
Wangsimni Dingdong Waffle is super crispy and tasty!
One is perfect to share between two people.
I took a half-day off in the afternoon and went to Yeonhaejang after finishing work.
The presentation was amazing, but the taste was just okay.
It feels surreal that this was already a year ago.
I haven't been able to visit the original grandfather's tofu at Achasan lately, but I want to go back.
It's my favorite tofu restaurant!
They have a variety of makgeolli for only 3,000 won, which makes it too easy to overindulge during the day.
You can't just pass by a good tteokbokki stand, can you?
How can I ignore this beautiful tteokbokki?
Hwang Soon-ae's tteokbokki is incredibly delicious.
And that hot dog goes surprisingly well with the tteokbokki.
I went to Ihwa Dumpling, which opens at 5 PM, but arrived at 4 PM only to find a long line already waiting.
They even had to close the waiting list before opening!
Koreans are serious about their food spots.
One pack (5 pieces) is 7,000 won, and you can buy up to 4 packs per person, so I bought 4 packs.
I ended up eating just one and left the rest at my friend's house.
They were delicious though! I should go again when the weather warms up.
I had the best sashimi at Baekildo in Dongseongro Market!
I ordered it for takeout, and it was amazing.
There's a reason why famous places are famous!
I had a mini cake and a beautiful bouquet to celebrate the new year.
I've heard that a fusion pub in Bongmyeong-dong is hot right now, so I went to check it out.
I don't know what's hot about it, but the side dishes were incredibly delicious.
I loved that they served fried eggs as a basic side dish.
During my 2-night, 3-day trip to Daegu, I stayed at Star BnB in Dongseongro.
The condition, location, and price of the accommodation were all great.
My first meal in Daegu was at Yukyeonjeong in Gyo-dong.
I had fresh Hanwoo beef, and it was really delicious.
The texture of the beef was interesting and chewy.
I bought a pearl ice cream for the first time in a while, but was it right?
I went to Vasco Taco in Dongseongro, Daegu, which is known for long waits.
When I arrived, there were already many people in line.
But I successfully got in line early!
I had chili shrimp tacos and chipotle cream shrimp pasta, and they were incredibly delicious.
They paired perfectly with beer, so I ended up drinking during the day.
I originally wanted to go to Cafe Lucid, but it was closed, so I went to the cafe across the street instead.
The coffee was great, and the atmosphere was nice, but the prices were a bit high.
I went to the escape room in Daegu and almost fainted because it was so scary!
But I managed to get through it!
I had some spicy stir-fried ribs and dumplings as a snack, and they were just okay.
I had to wait an hour outside in the cold for Gukongtan Makchang, but I have no regrets.
It was incredibly tasty!
The mushroom stew was also quite good.
Next time I'm in Daegu, I'll definitely go again.
I had delicious boneless chicken feet at Samdeokdong.
The drinks flowed easily!
I didn't expect to go for a third round.
I ordered kimchi udon and scrambled eggs at Jongno Night Market.
It was a decent place for drinks with good value.
I had spicy braised short ribs at Bongsan Jjim Galbi in the Galbi Alley of Dongin-dong.
Since we love spicy food, we went for the spicy option!
It was perfectly spicy and delicious.
Fried rice is a must!
I saw a cool sign on the street!
I had strawberry pudding bingsu at Cafe Lucid!
It's my favorite dessert, and this was my second visit.
Last time, there was a crazy wait, but this time I got in without waiting!
I’m not an otaku, but I can't resist gacha games.
I went to Cafe Noblivia to grab a drink while walking.
I even received delicious chocolate!
I also checked out a quirky shop called Mirage.
It was a cute little shop, but I didn't find anything to buy.
I visited Base Camp near Cheongju University, a meat restaurant with a camping vibe, and it was quite good.
I usually don't like bibim-myeon, but it was delicious that day.
Convenience store sweet potatoes are amazing!
They taste even better when bought with a friend's money!
On the day of the New Year's party with my friends, we managed to gather 10 people, which isn't easy.
But where was it again?
It was a pub in Chungbuk University.
Coco in Chungbuk University has delicious side dishes and is great for groups.
In Gagyeong-dong, Busan, I think this place is number one for Cheongju small intestines.
Even when I'm full, I must have fried rice!
I finally accomplished one of my goals!
Roasted chestnuts are the best!
My favorite snack is caprese salad.
In winter, Big Love's red fish cake soup is the best pairing with soju.
While drinking at Big Love, I asked if we should meet for Jumping Battle in the morning.
And we really met up in the morning and jumped around!
Sori's pot rice isn't really my taste, but the salmon buckwheat kimbap was quite good.
While eating pot rice, I suddenly suggested an escape room.
And we actually went to Asan for an escape room!
I did the Sherlock Holmes escape room in Asan with a group of four, and it was quite scary and fun.
I went to Don Adona in Sugok-dong for some meat and jjaguri.
It's famous for jjaguri, but I found it just okay.
Before heading to Singapore, I had my last meal at Incheon Airport!
I had pork cutlet, jjolbokki, and kimchi, and it was just average.
My Starbucks nickname is cute.
On the last night of January, I had Singapore Airlines in-flight meal, and it was just okay.
Due to length issues, that's all for today!
Stay tuned for the next part!
