NewJeans' Hanni Reaches Amicable Resolution with Defamer
Hanni (21), a member of the South Korean girl group NewJeans, currently on hiatus, has reportedly reached a reconciliation with an individual who defamed her, according to local media outlet SpoTV News and others on the 27th.
According to reports, the Seoul Southern District Court dismissed charges against the individual accused of insulting Hanni with malicious comments. The individual allegedly posted derogatory comments online in response to an article published in Korean media last October. The article described Hanni supposedly shedding tears while testifying as a witness at the National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee regarding unfair treatment from her agency. Prosecutors initially pursued a formal trial instead of a summary indictment, but it is understood that Hanni reconciled with the individual before the verdict.
