LE SSERAFIM Receives Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation
LE SSERAFIM has been awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation. They received the award at the 2025 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards held at the National Theater of Korea in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 23rd.
The awards ceremony, now in its 16th year, is a prestigious event that began in 2010 to express gratitude to popular culture and arts figures and workers who have contributed to the development of popular culture and arts. LE SSERAFIM shared their feelings through their agency, Source Music, on the 24th, stating, "We are honored to receive such a meaningful award as the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation."
They added, "We believe we were able to receive such a great award thanks to the many people who love our music, performances, and popular culture." They continued, "Coincidentally, we are making a comeback on the 24th with our first single, 'SPAGHETTI,' and this award feels like encouragement to 'work even harder.'"
They added their commitment to contributing to the development of popular culture with good music and performances in the future. They successfully completed their first world tour, '2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR EASY CRAZY HOT,' and are scheduled to hold encore concerts at the Tokyo Dome on November 18th and 19th. Starting in Korea in April of this year, they performed a total of 27 shows in 18 cities across Japan, Asia, and North America. In particular, LE SSERAFIM became the first K-POP girl group to appear on NBC's famous program 'America's Got Talent' and held an offline pop-up in collaboration with global company Amazon Music, demonstrating their status as artists representing Korea. LE SSERAFIM released their first single 'SPAGHETTI' at 1 PM on the 24th. The single includes the title track 'SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS),' which captures an irresistible charm like winding spaghetti, and 'Pearlies (My oyster is the world).' The music video for the title track, featuring BTS's j-hope, is attracting attention with its addictive melody and cheerful choreography.
