HYBE and Los Angeles FC Partner to Host K-Culture Festival

HYBE is partnering with Major League Soccer (MLS) team Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) to host a K-culture festival that blends K-pop and sports. This marks HYBE's first collaboration with an MLS team. LAFC is the team where player Son Heung-min plays.
As part of the partnership, HYBE will sponsor a K-culture event at LAFC's first home game of the 'Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs' on October 29th (local time) at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. The event aims to highlight the cultural ties between Los Angeles and Korea and introduce the appeal of K-culture to local sports fans.
Los Angeles has the largest Korean population in the United States. Through this event, HYBE and LAFC plan to present an immersive K-culture festival to fans at the stadium, incorporating Korean culture, music, and community.
During the game at BMO Stadium, LAFC's home field, K-pop will be featured as background music, and a light show will be presented featuring music from HYBE music group artists such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, and KATSYE.
The 22,000-seat BMO Stadium is also known as a venue for performances by artists such as BTS' J-Hope, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and ENHYPEN.
Attendees can experience K-pop's cheering culture through wristband-type cheering bands, lasers, and fireworks synchronized with the music. The event will also feature fusion Korean cuisine inspired by Koreatown culture from popular local Korean restaurants.
HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk said that the common ground between music and sports is the power to unite people beyond language and region, adding that it is meaningful to collaborate with LAFC and MLS for the first time in Los Angeles, where various cultures, including Korea, coexist. He also expressed his pleasure in further strengthening the relationship with local fans.
Isaac Lee, Chairman of HYBE AMERICA, stated, "The partnership with LAFC has strengthened HYBE's presence and cultural influence in the United States, a key growth area for HYBE. This event demonstrates the power of fandom (a specific fan community) by combining various cultures such as sports, music, and food, and HYBE will continue to create entertainment that connects with the world through music, storytelling, and live experiences."
Larry Freedman, Co-President of LAFC, said, "LAFC understands the power of an enthusiastic fan culture. As HYBE's first MLS partner, we will provide an unforgettable experience through this collaboration, showcasing the energy of K-pop, LAFC, and the inclusiveness of Los Angeles." HYBE will continue to expand Korean culture and create new fan experiences through K-pop through this partnership with LAFC.
