I have always been curious about 123 Gelato.

After Ichon, they opened a branch in Hannam-dong,

and now there is also a Jongno branch.

I heard they will soon open a fourth location, but where will it be?

It's located between Jongno 3-ga and Anguk Station,

inside a hotel that made me wonder, 'Is there really a place like this here?'

They offer a total of 12 flavors,

and you can enjoy them in a cone or a cup.

I heard the cones are the specialty here,

but since only one flavor is available for cones, I opted for a cup.

Inside, there's another restaurant called Cosmos,

which was closed, allowing me to enjoy my gelato inside.

Cosmos seems to be quite a popular spot as well.

Located in the heart of Insadong, it was easily accessible and has become a popular spot for those seeking trendy cafes in the area. I was filled with anticipation as I arrived.

Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious atmosphere created by large windows letting in soft sunlight. It was the kind of place where just sipping a drink could lift your spirits. If you're looking for a cafe with a unique ambiance in Insadong, I highly recommend this spot.

I ordered the strawberry bingsu (15,500 KRW) and jujube tea (6,500 KRW). Many people think of bingsu when they think of Insadong, and this cafe is already famous for its Insadong Bingsu or Ssamji-gil Bingsu, which heightened my expectations.

When the strawberry bingsu arrived, its beautiful presentation was immediately satisfying. Topped with fresh strawberries, the finely shaved ice was incredibly soft. With the first bite, I thought, 'This is truly exceptional.' The balance of sweet and tangy flavors was delightful, making it hard to stop eating. I felt so happy to enjoy such delicious bingsu near Ssamji-gil in Insadong, and I understood why people recommend this cafe.

These days, Seongsu-dong is definitely on the list when looking for a place to go on a date.

With its abundance of 감성 (gamseong - emotional/aesthetic) cafes, pretty streets, and photo spots, it felt new and fun the first time I went.

But after going a few times, your route naturally becomes fixed.

Eating at a popular restaurant, stopping by a dessert cafe, and then taking pictures and walking around Seongsu's alleys or near Seoul Forest.

Because this route repeats like a routine, to be honest, it doesn't really leave you with the feeling that 'today was something different'.

So, for this date, I wanted to give it a fresh feeling.

While looking for a unique place in Seongsu that I hadn't been to before, I found a truly interesting and memorable space.

It's an unmanned robot cafe where a robot barista makes coffee directly, a collaboration space between Lounge X and Kyobo Bookstore.

At first, I was a bit like, 'What is this?' but after going there, it was so special, and I thought it would be perfect for a date.

1. The Shocking Detail of Robot Coffee

As soon as I opened the cafe door, the first thing that caught my eye wasn't a person, but a moving robot.

Usually, when you go to a coffee shop, you find a seat first, look at the menu, stand in line, and order.

But the flow here was a bit different. First, the robot stands out, and the scene of the robot making coffee is captivating in itself.

While waiting after placing an order, it's fun to watch how the machine works, and we ended up standing there without saying a word, just watching it.

Holding the cup, extracting the shot, pouring steamed milk, and accurately bringing it to the table.

I thought it would be cold or rigid, but the movements were so natural that it felt rather smooth.

The occasional cute comments were also a highlight.

When short phrases like "Let's go!" came out, we both chuckled, and it naturally led to conversation.

It wasn't just the novelty of a machine making it, but it was a truly 'fun to watch together' experience, making it a memorable scene among Seongsu-dong date spots.

2. Unexpected Coffee Quality

Usually, with these experiential cafes, the focus is on the experience itself, so you often don't expect much from the coffee.

But here, my mind changed from the first sip. The concentration of the espresso was just right, and the latte was smooth and rich, so it was memorable not just as a 'unique cafe' but as simply a 'delicious cafe'.

There was also a good variety of non-coffee options, including teas and seasonal drinks. The person I went with doesn't drink coffee often, so it was nice that we could both choose according to our preferences.

And since it's an unmanned system, everything from ordering to receiving the drink is done by yourself, so it felt like we could focus more on our time together.

These days, Seongsu-dong date spots are all similar, but it's rare to find a place where the coffee is so satisfying. I even thought that next time, I'd just come alone to read a book and drink coffee, the overall quality was that good.

3. Photo Zone with a Simple Mood

You can feel the 감성 (gamseong) atmosphere wherever you go in Seongsu, but honestly, cafe photos often look the same. White tones, minimalist interiors, and structures where the bakery display is the main focus.

But the atmosphere here is a bit different. First of all, the lighting is generally warm and soft, so skin tones come alive naturally, and you can get pretty pictures no matter where you sit.

The spacing between tables is also generous, so you don't feel self-conscious when taking pictures, and details like books and props naturally become the background, so the number of shots kept increasing.

In particular, if you record the moment the robot makes coffee as a video, it becomes truly unique content.

There isn't a separate photo zone, but the entire space is quiet and has a good mood, so a big advantage was that you can get pretty shots without having to pose.

Among Seongsu-dong date spots, there are only a few cafes where you can take pictures and enjoy the atmosphere like this.

4. Reading Space with a Calm Vibe

It's good to keep moving busily when dating, but you need a break in between. Another reason why I liked this cafe was that there was a separate space where you could stay quietly.

It's a space in collaboration with Kyobo Bookstore, where books are neatly arranged, and there are places where you can write or take notes in between.

Couples can each pick out a book and read it, and conversations like, "Have you heard of this book?" or "Do you like this author?" naturally flowed, and I felt comfortable even without talking much.

I was able to truly feel the emotion of 'rest,' which is difficult to feel in other cafes, and that made the overall atmosphere of the date more calm.

Seongsu-dong date courses usually have a lot of active schedules or are planned around crowded places, but it's rare to find a space where you can enjoy a quiet time together like this.

5. 24 Hours Optimized for the Night Mood

Seongsu is not only pretty during the day, but the atmosphere changes after sunset, making it a really charming neighborhood for night dates.

But most cafes close around 8 or 9 pm, so there were many times when I had a late dinner appointment or needed a place to finish the date, but there was nowhere to go.

This place is open 24 hours, so there's no need to worry about that at all.

Even though I went after 11 pm, the lights inside were softly lit, and there were enough people to maintain a quiet atmosphere.

While listening to quiet music, drinking a cup of coffee, and talking, the words 'Today was really good' came out naturally.

Especially on rainy days or when you suddenly have nowhere to go, I want to save it as a place to remember.

Among Seongsu-dong date spots, this kind of space where you can enjoy yourself leisurely anytime without worrying about time is a really big merit.

At first, I went with the mindset of 'Let's try a unique experience' because the robot makes coffee, but after going there, I was more than satisfied.

It's not just a unique experience, but all the elements of atmosphere, coffee, photos, conversation, and rest are balanced, so I thought it was a really well-planned date.

If you want to make your Seongsu-dong date course more special, this is a place I would highly recommend.

A date where you can see, laugh, drink, rest, and talk together in one space like this. It will be remembered for a long time.

I took a drive to the scenic Goseong coast in Gangwon-do and discovered a cafe with beautiful photo spots: On The Button, an ocean view cafe near Ayajin Beach. Sitting by the window with soft music playing, I spent a happy time enjoying the scenery and the sound of the waves. Today, I'm going to share that story.

This was the real photo zone of On The Button. I loved the high waves and the magnificent sound they made. It was a place that felt both serene and lively, calm yet dynamic, and it will remain in my memory for a long time.

There were pebbles and stepping stones in the front yard as well. Even the white-painted walls were perfect for taking 감성 (feeling/aesthetic) photos. I especially liked the 감성 the casually placed wooden benches gave off.

Being right in front of the beach, it was great to be able to see the ocean from anywhere.

Whether the weather is good or not...

For me, who just needs the ocean, it was a space like a gift.

Exterior

The entire building is a cafe. At first glance, the exterior might seem simple, but the interior reveals a different look, making it an interesting place. The overall feel is nature-friendly. The clean, uncluttered building and the outdoor space made of pebbles, wood, and water were enough to stimulate emotions from the entrance.

Parking Information

Following the sign, you'll see the parking lot up a low hill. Going through the obscured path, you can see the main building.

Interior

The iron door at the entrance is so 감성! Next to the iron door, there were angel wings and spaces separated on both sides. The left side has a place to order and tables, and the right side has only tables.

As soon as I entered, the cafe's cute mascot cat greeted me. When I went to pet it after hearing it meow, it turned its head as if it were annoyed!

Following the hallway to the right, you'll see another space in the cafe. This place has floor-to-ceiling windows, making it great for enjoying a cup of tea while looking at the sea. The opposite wall is mirrored, which is a unique feature.

Ordering Drinks

I headed to the counter to order drinks. There was a bakery on a small table in the middle. Looking at the bakery, I thought it would be nice to have one, so I told my daughter she could choose whatever she wanted.

I really like the tumbler with the On The Button CI. It's white and has a handle, which is exactly my style. They were also selling 원두 (coffee beans), and even the case was pretty.

I took a candid shot of my daughter 고민 (pondering) in front of the bakery zone. I went as soon as it opened, so the bakery was still being prepared.

Enjoying the Cafe

My family always orders cold drinks, even in winter! Even though it was quite chilly, we ordered cold drinks, and the owner checked to make sure. Everyone around us was drinking warm drinks. Nevertheless, I confidently said that ice was correct. ㅋㅋ

My youngest, who is 빠진 (obsessed) with SNS these days, moves around taking pictures. She says she's going to take pretty pictures and upload them. Seeing my daughter taking pictures more diligently than I do, I laughed, wondering if I was like that too. I waited and watched her take pictures.

The Summer Latte, iced tea, and croissant we ordered came out. The Summer Latte is the signature menu here. The combination of ice cream and coffee is perfect. The iced tea had a richer and deeper taste than other places.

Photo Zone 인증 (Verification)

After sitting and resting for a while, I suggested we take 인증 (verification) photos at the photo zone, and she followed me as if she were annoyed. But when she actually posed, she took pictures so diligently. First, a shot indoors!

I grabbed an umbrella and went outside. People who were chatting inside the cafe started coming out one or two at a time as my daughter and I were taking pictures. How could you just stay inside when it's so pretty!!!! ㅎㅎ

Why I recommend this place as a Goseong, Gangwon-do cafe!!!

I was able to take 감성 (feeling/aesthetic) photos just by sitting still. It was literally full of photo zones. In the summer, many people come here from nearby Ayajin Beach. Even though it was a rainy day, it was this 감성, so it would be even prettier on a clear day, right?

Review

It was great to relax while listening to the sound of the waves and nature in a place where the ocean unfolding before my eyes was as beautiful as a painting. I especially liked the quiet, 정갈 (neat) and clean atmosphere.

It's a feeling of neither too much nor too little.

It's a bit difficult, right? But that's how I felt. A space that wasn't too much or too little... and even a cute cat... I 제대로 (completely) fell for this place's 감성.

Why I recommend it as a Goseong, Gangwon-do cafe!!!

As you step inside, the first thing that catches your eye is the panoramic view through the large windows – the lush green trees and the traditional Korean roofline create an instant sense of peace. The sound of small birds fluttering around the garden adds to the soothing atmosphere; just sitting there melts away all your stress. It's not easy to find such a serene and peaceful cafe in Sokcho, but this place is truly special.

The desserts exceeded my expectations. I ordered the signature Injeolmi Croffle, and the chewy, nutty flavor was a perfect complement to my coffee. I also tried the Butternut Squash Cheesecake and Castella cake, and you could taste the care and attention that went into each ingredient. I would definitely visit this cafe again just for the desserts.

The space is also very spacious, making it perfect for relaxing with family, friends, or your partner. When I visited, there were several groups enjoying their time comfortably. Enjoying the spacious and comfortable environment completely relieved the fatigue from my Sokcho trip. I don't think there are many cafes in Seoraksan that are as optimized for relaxation as this one.

This place is also perfect for taking photos. The traditional Korean architecture, the garden, and the backdrop of green trees create a picturesque setting wherever you point your camera. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to capture some memorable photos of their Sokcho trip. I started snapping photos as soon as I took out my camera. Thanks to this cafe, I was able to capture the beautiful memories of my trip.

In summary, Cafe Seoraksanro is a Seoraksan cafe that has it all:

We visited a fantastic restaurant in Samseong-dong and were immediately charmed by the generous brunch and sophisticated ambiance. The accessibility was also a huge plus – we arrived easily by subway. There was plenty of free parking too, which was very convenient.

The moment we stepped inside, the clean and stylish interior made us feel even better.

One of the highlights of our meal was the authentic American brunch. It was a feast of pancakes, French toast, and various sides. The portions were just right, and everything was prepared with care. Sharing this delicious brunch with my friend created a cherished memory. I highly recommend it – everyone will love it!

We were also eagerly anticipating the Prime Striploin Steak! The low-temperature aging process made it incredibly tender, melting in our mouths with every bite. Pairing it with fresh vegetables and homemade mashed potatoes enhanced the flavor even more. This special dish was truly impressive, I want to eat it again!

Next, we ordered the Pollack Roe Oil Pasta. The combination of shrimp and various seafood was delicious. The chewy texture of the pollack roe added a unique dimension to the pasta, setting it apart from the ordinary. The fresh ingredients blended harmoniously, creating a flavor profile that was simply outstanding.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this Samseong-dong restaurant for dates and gatherings. I fell in love with the sophisticated atmosphere and delicious menu, allowing me to spend precious time with my friend. Dining on the outdoor terrace was particularly romantic. This visit was unforgettable!

Out of all the bingsu I’ve tried recently, the most unique by far was from Tarae Queen — a place that’s been gaining popularity lately.

What is “Tarae Bingsu”?

Tarae (타래) means “thread” or “bundle of strands” in Korean — and this dessert gets its name from the way the shaved ice looks like delicate threads of silk.

From Sangsu Station (Line 6), Exit 1, walk straight and follow the Red Road to the right — you'll find it on the left side.

If you’re coming from Sangsang Madang in Hongdae, follow Red Road toward Sangsu Station, and Collin will be on your right (about 50m walk).

When I visited, there were beautiful blooming hydrangeas at the entrance — not sure if they’re still there, but it was such a lovely sight!

There was a large group on the first floor, so we went upstairs — it was very spacious and quiet~

I always thought “I should stop by sometime” whenever I passed by, and once I entered, it was so lovely ^^

Collin is a flower café filled with plants and flowers, so the entire atmosphere was amazing~

There are separate restrooms for men and women on the second floor.

We chose a table with a vase of beautiful hydrangeas.

The Ice Cream Latte had actual ice cream on top — so sweet and delicious~

They also sell Cotton Candy Latte, which is one of Collin’s signature drinks.

And right now, they’re also selling Iced Persimmon Bingsu!

There are also tables on the second-floor terrace, but it was too hot, so we decided to sit inside haha.

Hidden spaces for a private vibe

The tables are large, and there are spaces for groups — no wonder there were many large parties visiting~

Just half a flight of stairs up from the second floor, there’s a separate space, too.

If you want a more private setting, I think that area would be perfect.

It honestly felt like being in a greenhouse.

The glass windows let in lots of light with no barriers, so it had a great view —
though it was a little warm, it was definitely a photo zone for taking great pictures~^^

The overall vibe of Collin is antique and cozy, and the flowers on every table make it a feel-good kind of café~

What first caught my eye? The dessert showcase! Not just ordinary cakes — each treat looked like a mini work of art. From adorable bear and panda-shaped cakes to tree-inspired desserts, everything was too cute to resist.

Summer Must-Try: Melon Bingsu

Their signature melon bingsu is a total showstopper. A whole juicy melon sits atop layers of creamy milk ice, vanilla ice cream, and crunchy crumble. One spoonful and it’s like summer exploded in my mouth — refreshing, sweet, and smooth.

The melon was incredibly fresh and sweet, and the shaved milk ice just melted in my mouth. I shared it with my friend and still considered ordering another one — it’s that addictive.

Round 2: Milk Tea Nut Bingsu

We couldn’t resist, so we ordered a second one — milk tea nut bingsu! The base is a soft milk tea-flavored shaved ice that melts like snow. The subtle aroma of tea and the richness of milk blend perfectly without overwhelming your palate.

It’s generously topped with almond slices and crunchy granola, giving it a satisfying texture with every bite. The unique toppings really elevated the experience.

Can’t Forget the Cakes!

To balance the icy desserts, we also tried their cake — Forest Log, made with premium Valrhona chocolate. It’s rich, indulgent, and shaped like an adorable bear. Perfect for chocolate lovers and Instagram!

And finally, the Cheese Pond cake — a dreamy combination of fluffy cheesecake, soft sponge layers, and refreshing fruit toppings like orange slices and mint. It looked like a creamy pond tucked away in a forest. The citrus notes cut through the rich cheese flavor, making it light and balanced. A truly high-quality dessert!

Final Thoughts

I wanted to introduce this place because it's one of the few cafes in Seoul where you can enjoy the unforgettable taste of Momos Coffee, which I fell in love with in Busan.

Perhaps because it's a great place to cool off in the hot summer, it's filled with office workers and tourists.

There's even a meeting room available.

There's a new menu item called the Palace Fan Fruit Plate, which has a traditional feel and would be great to enjoy with foreign friends.

Gung Ga Bae Cold Brew Can (Momos)

It's a cold brew collaboration with Momos!

It seems that they are collaborating with cafes in other palaces, such as Deoksugung Palace.

The taste is cleaner and less tangy than other cold brews.

However, as you can see from the can size, it feels a bit small..

It's a small amount for office workers who chug coffee.

In Summary:

There's no place as cool as this in the summer, and the museum's permanent exhibitions are great.

Plus, the gift shop inside has lots of tempting items, so your wallet is always in danger (?)

In addition to this cafe, you can try to find various other restaurants, so if you visit near Gyeongbokgung, stop by and rest!

Furthermore, the diverse menu options make it great for meetups with coworkers, Gyeongbokgung tourists, or foreign friends.

I would recommend going if you work around Gyeongbokgung or have a chance to visit the area.

It really brings back memories.

The name has changed to Sanseong Mammoth!

They also sell old-fashioned shaved ice and cup shaved ice.

They have delicious ice cream too.

It's so popular that there's always a line.

It used to be famous for takeout only,

but now there's seating both inside and outside.

It's been so long since I've been here!

This place opens at 6 AM

and is a popular spot for takeout.

They have many famous Namhansanseong breads, from cream-filled red bean bread to apple pie,

as well as glutinous rice donuts and twisted donuts.

Parking is available in front of the store.

It's located right next to E-Mart as soon as you turn at the Namhansanseong Rotary

and in front of Namhansanseong Elementary School.

There are many great restaurants around here too.

I didn't know there was space inside.

There's always a wait, so everyone lines up at the waiting line

The atmosphere inside is nice,

and the ambiance of the Namhansanseong cafe is great.

There's a valley right in front,

and there are public parking lots and restaurants as soon as you turn at the rotary,

making it a great cafe in Namhansanseong Fortress.

Sanseong Mammoth is really famous for its Mammoth bread.

It's very thick with lots of cream inside,

Today was a date with my second child, who absolutely loves Cinnamoroll.

I don't usually go to Hongdae because there aren't many places to go with kids, but since the Cinnamoroll Cafe is in AK Plaza, I booked a reservation through Catchtable in advance.

Reservation

I was worried about it being crowded on the weekend, so I made a reservation for the first time slot in the morning through Catchtable.

It's best to make a reservation in advance, especially if you plan to visit after lunchtime on the weekend, as it gets very busy.

The morning was nice and quiet.

A minimum of one order per person is required, and you can use the cafe for one hour.

Parking

Parking is available at the AK Plaza parking lot, and valet parking is also offered.

Please check in advance as parking may be restricted depending on the weight of your SUV.

Enjoy 1 hour of free parking with a purchase of ₩10,000 or more, 2 hours for ₩20,000 or more, and 3 hours for ₩30,000 or more.

Exterior

After parking, follow the AK Plaza signs to the 2nd floor, where the Cinnamoroll Cafe is located.

The mall opens at 10:30, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly.

Take the escalator and go straight to the right. You'll see the Cinnamoroll Cafe hallway, and the cafe is located at the very end.

Interior

We were the first customers of the first time slot, so we were able to enjoy the empty Cinnamoroll Cafe.

Most of the drinks have Cinnamoroll on top, so the prices are a bit high.

The cakes also have Cinnamoroll faces decorated with chocolate or whipped cream, so the prices are high compared to the taste.

We ordered peach soda, an Americano, and a cake.

They give you one random Cinnamoroll photo card for every ₩10,000 spent, so we received two since we spent over ₩20,000.

There is a photo zone where you can go inside and take pictures with cute props.

Note that the photo zone is small.

The Cinnamoroll drinks and cakes are so cute that they make children's eyes light up.

We ordered peach soda, which came with ice cream and white chocolate on top, and jelly at the bottom.

My daughter loved it just by looking at it.

My second child loves Cinnamoroll so much that she seemed more captivated by the cuteness than the taste.

It is cute.

But I don't recommend the cake.

It seems expensive because of the Cinnamoroll decoration, and the overall quality of the drinks and cakes was just okay.

I just think of it as a price I pay because my child enjoys it.

Adding a Cinnamoroll ice cube to the Americano costs an extra ₩1,000, but I didn't bother.

Next to the entrance, there's a machine where you can make Cinnamoroll photo cards, so my daughter enthusiastically made a card for ₩3,000.

Goods Shop

There is a goods shop next to the cafe where you can find Cinnamoroll merchandise.

Since they are authentic, the prices are quite high, so you really have to be prepared to spend.

Still, I'm happy because my daughter is happy.

It's a place worth visiting at least once if you have children who love Cinnamoroll.

You can also do various shopping at the mall, so it was a great place for a date with my child.

Finally, settle your parking fee at the parking fee machine on the first floor before leaving.

It's been a while since I've seen an organ. It really brings back childhood memories.

I could feel and see the peaceful atmosphere, taking me back to my childhood.

Cafe 1929 is very popular with locals and tourists alike, regardless of whether it's a weekday or a weekend. It’s known as a local favorite.

Both table and floor seating are available, so you can choose the space that's most comfortable for you.

Although there's a 2-hour time limit, you can relax and enjoy your time here.

It was great seeing antique furniture again.

The soft, melt-in-your-mouth flavor is exceptional.

The multi-layered structure with mousse, fruit, sheet and crunch layers creates a three-dimensional texture, and the unique flavors and aromas of the ingredients create a sophisticated dessert.

I had a wonderful time visiting today and tasted some delicious desserts. I will definitely visit again when I come to Jecheon!

I stumbled upon a Wangsimni cafe tucked away in the back alleys of Haengdang-dong, and it's got a vibe that's just overflowing with *'gaemseong'* (Korean for 'emotional sensibility' or 'trendy aesthetic')!

When I think of Wangsimni cafes, I usually picture the cafe street near Hanyang University, close to Wangsimni Station. But venturing to the opposite side, towards Haengdang-dong, revealed this incredibly charming little alley.

I adore the slightly-stretchy, teal-blue color scheme, the illustrations...

...and the sunset atmosphere is absolutely amazing!

From the entrance to every little nook and cranny, there's not a single detail I dislike. The seemingly effortless, yet carefully crafted, handmade touches just welcomed me right in.

If you're looking to spend some time soaking in a *'gaemseong'* atmosphere in Wangsimni, then 'Nerdy Blue Burrow' is a must-visit cafe!

Alright, let's dig into the food!

First up, the Nerdy Milk was a sweet and creamy iced milk chocolate drink.

The soft cream was so delicious, it really made me think that Nerdy Blue Burrow is a cream master. And the other desserts too!

And, the cheese cake is finally here!!

There are probably many cheesecake places in Wangsimni, but the richness of the Basque cheesecake was quite nice.

It's a perfect match with the cold brew, so I recommend enjoying them together.

And finally, the signature menu of Wangsimni Cafe is here. The banana pudding is finally here!

These cost 9,900 won for a set, so I was even happier that I could try both.

There is also chocolate pudding, so I want to try it next time.

So this menu combination was successful with sweet cream.

If you don't like sweets, I recommend cheesecake rather than pudding.

This Wangsimni Station Cafe Nerdy Blue Burrow is worth a visit with its vibrant atmosphere and delicious dessert menu.

I want to know the relationship between the original Nerdy Blue Cafe.

Parking at Nerdy Blue Burrow seems a bit difficult.

It is closest to Wangsimni Station Exit 9.

If you need parking, you can park at the nearby Sowol Art Hall at the level of a public parking lot.

After a delicious meal at Jang-eo-ui Kkum (Dream of Eel), we headed to nearby Hutan for dessert and relaxation.

Hutan is huge, with a scale of 5,000 pyeong (approximately 4 acres)!

There are also three parking lots next to Onam Reservoir.

Although Onam Reservoir doesn't seem large at first glance, it's a very pretty reservoir with cozy mountain scenery.

The great weather made the view even more spectacular today!

The entrance is decorated with cute rabbits.

Next to the rabbits, you'll find a display of breads.

Slice cakes: ₩11,000

Bread: ₩5,000 - ₩9,000

I wanted to try the shaved ice, but the mango shaved ice I wanted was ₩31,000!

It's smaller and ₩4,000 more expensive than the Daenerys mango shaved ice I had recently.

So, I ordered:

Chocolate Chip Mocha Bun: ₩4,300

Iced Americano: ₩7,500

I looked up Marke Bakery because I was curious about it.

It's a small bakery cafe located in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul.

It's run by a chef who graduated from Nakamura Academy of Culinary Arts in Japan.

A key characteristic is that they make bread and desserts using healthy ingredients like organic flour and unrefined cane sugar.

Salt bread (Shio-pan) is especially famous.

Is it because they use good ingredients?

Overall, the prices are expensive.

There were many breads in the ₩8,000 - ₩9,000 range left.

Since I was already full and the prices were a bit much, I chose relatively inexpensive items.

Luckily, they had my favorites: mocha bun and salt bread!

As I looked around for a seat, I noticed that the cafe's interior structure is triangular.

The 1st floor is only available for customers who are eating meals.

The 2nd and 3rd floors have the same layout.

The cafe has high ceilings and large glass windows, so the air conditioning is cooler as you go lower.

I found a spot in front of the elevator on the 3rd floor, which was the coolest.

The cream is a bit greasy and not as smooth.

The mocha bun had a somewhat rough texture, different from what I'm used to.

It was a bit lacking for my taste.

The matcha latte is rich and delicious.

We were looking for a place to have a cup of coffee near Hongdae and Hapjeong, or rather, we specifically sought this place out...

At Cafe Comma, there's an exhibition by artist Hwang Yu, whom I became acquainted with by chance some time ago. Fortunately, the timing was right, and we were able to visit.

This building is the headquarters of a nationwide franchise and includes office spaces, a bakery, and a rooftop area.

Hwang Yu's exhibition is being held on a lower floor, so we headed straight down.

Right away, we saw Hwang Yu's paintings.

This is a collaboration between Cafe Comma and Gallery AMID.

We took our time to appreciate the exhibition.

It's a hanok cafe renovated from a 100-year-old former residence of Gyeongju Station.

I heard that it was the hippest cafe in Hwangoh-dong, which is a rising hot spot in Gyeongju these days, so I had to check it out.

Hidden away in a location that's hard to find unless you know it's there, it seemed like a popular cafe already, judging by the constant flow of customers!

Hwangoh-dong has a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, which made it feel even more special.

We arrived a little after 3 PM, and the cafe was completely full, so we had to wait. Luckily, seats opened up quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long.

The biggest charm of this cafe is the building itself! It was a unique cafe with a well-preserved old house feel.

It wasn't a typical hanok-style cafe, which is common in Gyeongju where Oranda (a type of traditional Korean snack) is famous, but a cafe renovated from a Japanese colonial-era house ( 적산가옥), making it even more special.

Since I wanted hand-drip coffee, I ordered an iced coffee and a Peach Panna Cotta, one of the summer seasonal menu items!

The photo looked so pretty, I wanted to try it, and the words 'summer seasonal limited' made me unable to resist...

It seems like the coffee beans change every week. Since I went on the 7th, there will probably be different beans next week.

The Brazil Santa Ines has low acidity, but we ordered the Ethiopia Bursa Molugeta Muntasha!

It's a menu item made by boiling milk, cream, and vanilla beans together, chilling them until firm, and then topping them with a whole Mystery Peach on a base made by blending peaches and plums.

The pudding-like texture and the sweet Mystery Peach were refreshing and so delicious.

Summer seasonal menu! It was a dessert that made me realize why it's only available in the summer! Highly recommend!!

The Americano also came with a small card.

It tasted like honey and a hint of peach? It was a very interesting flavor.

It was a bit acidic, but not enough to bother me, and it paired well with the sweetness of the dessert!

We sat at the bar table, so we could watch the coffee being made and smell the coffee beans! It was so fascinating, and the scent was amazing.

I recommend the bar seats! Next time, I want to bring a book and read it there.

The weather has been wonderfully refreshing these past few days, so I decided to head up to Namhansanseong.

No trip to Namhansanseong is complete without a cafe tour!

Namhansanseong has many delicious cafes and bakeries. Today, I visited Sanseong Mammoth, conveniently located near the top of Namhansanseong, famous for its mammoth bread and donuts.

Sanseong Mammoth is easy to find near the rotary at the entrance of Namhansanseong, making it the perfect spot to visit before or after a hike.

When I arrived, there were only a couple of people ahead of me. While waiting, I checked out the displayed breads and mentally bookmarked a few! 😉

The star of the show here is definitely the Mammoth Bread!!!

As the name suggests, the size is extraordinary; it looks about 2-3 times bigger than bread sold in a typical bakery.

It weighs a whopping 900g to 1kg! The size is really something else.

Besides the Mammoth Bread, Sanseong Mammoth also offers delicious handmade donuts.

The donuts, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, are reminiscent of the classic donuts we all know and love, making them a great source of nostalgia.

The red bean filling isn't overly sweet, so you can enjoy them without feeling overwhelmed. They also pair perfectly with coffee, so I picked up a few donuts as well.

I originally planned to get everything to go, but the owner mentioned there was a spacious and cool seating area inside, suggesting I take a break. So, I decided to stay for a bit.

Stepping inside revealed a space with a different feel from the exterior.

The warm wood-toned interior, ceramic decorations, and antique clocks created an atmosphere where tradition and coziness coexist.

I even saw them busily making handmade donuts in one corner. I could sense the mastery in their focused efforts!!!

Looking at the signage inside, I noticed that many celebrities, including Chef Lee Won-il and Hong Seok-cheon, have visited Sanseong Mammoth!

Knowing that this place is frequented by famous people whose names I recognize, my anticipation for the taste of the bread grew even more! 😁

First, I tried the sweet rice donut!

The inside is empty, but that allows you to fully appreciate the chewy texture of the sweet rice dough!

Even without sweet red bean filling or cream, it's not bland at all because of its rich, savory flavor!

Freshly fried, the outside is crispy, and the inside retains the unique elasticity of sweet rice, making it a simple but not boring donut that becomes more savory the more you chew. It's a 'back-to-basics' sweet rice donut.

The subtle sweetness unique to the white bean paste, combined with the chewyness of the sweet rice dough, makes for an appealing donut!!!!!!!

The sweetness is much cleaner than red bean paste, so I wasn't overwhelmed even after eating it all, and I kept reaching for more haha.

I regret not buying more donuts ㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋ

And now for today's star, the Mammoth Bread!

The large Mammoth Bread is filled with plenty of refreshing and sweet ingredients~~

It's sweet but not overpowering, so you can enjoy it until the end, and it's even better with coffee or milk hehehe.

As soon as I took a bite, I understood why it's rumored to be a 'Mammoth Bread 맛집' (famous restaurant) hahah.

It feels like the perfect season for outings has arrived!

I visited around 2:30 PM on a Saturday, and luckily, there was only one seat left.

I got in immediately without waiting, but after that, there were about 3 teams waiting.

Since they open early and also sell brunch menus, the mornings and the busiest cafe hours (3-5 PM) seem to have the longest waits.

Visiting around 2 PM seems to be a good tip to avoid waiting.

There were a few seats on the deck where you can wait. Maybe it will be used as a terrace seat when the weather is nice.

The area right in front is just a residential area, so it's even quieter.

Interior

Sinora Yeonhui Branch 3 looked modern on the outside, but the interior generally had a warm, wooden tone.

Vintage-textured furniture, wooden structures crossing the ceiling, and soft yellow lighting created a classic and cozy atmosphere, similar to the Seochon and Bukchon branches.

It was also fun to look at the antique objects and stylish props throughout the space.

The harmonious arrangement of wooden tones and bright-colored objects was also very stylish!

In the center is an open kitchen where you can watch drip coffee being made, which is another unique point of Sinora.☕️

There are about 3 two-seater tables in front of the kitchen, and about 2 two-seater tables inside.

Similar to the Seochon and Bukchon branches, the size is small and bustling, but the difference with the Yeonhui branch 3 is that there is still one large 4-person table.

The sailboat model and the large window make it a popular spot at Sinora Yeonhui!

Sinora Branch 3, a brunch cafe with a good atmosphere in Yeonhui-dong, offers drip coffee, Dutch coffee, latte menus, etc. The menu is similar to previous branches.

French toast is a combination of seasonal fruits, brioche, whipped cream, and cacao nibs, and the price varies depending on the season.

Each sip spread a subtle bitterness and deep body throughout the mouth.

The temperature was maintained for a long time while moving, so I could feel the warmth until I drank it.

The less than an hour I spent sitting here was pure bliss. Since we arrived near closing time, we were the only customers, which was even better...

The Grapefruit Honey Black Tea was the best I've ever had. It's on another level compared to what Starbucks offers. Not too sweet, and the combination of tea and grapefruit was perfect.

I loved chatting and looking out into the distance with a cup of tea!

The place isn't very big, so it might feel cramped when crowded.

I want to visit again when it's less crowded, like on a weekday morning or near closing time on the weekend.

Is that Inwangsan Mountain over there? I like Gangbuk... someday, I want to live in Gangbuk with that mountain in the background. ⛰️

They even provide a candle to keep your tea warm – what a thoughtful touch! Because I loved it so much, I visited again!

The Ice Cream Latte was a sweet treat, thanks to the ice cream! It’s perfect for a summer day when you need a sugar rush.

The aroma of flowers is lovely, and the cafe is so spacious which is a great bonus.

There were quite a few seats inside! There were various options from two-person tables to four-person tables.

The window seats also had a great view. Personally, I prefer cafes with bright lighting, and this place had plenty of natural light, which I loved! ☀️

I wanted to come alone, drink coffee, and read a book, and this is a perfect cafe for solo visits!

The posters plastered here and there were also cute, and the interior space was full of Instagrammable vibes. ✨

Their signature drink is the Lucky Latte. It has a cute four-leaf clover on top...✨ But I don't personally like lattes, so I ordered a decaf cold brew instead. But I ordered the signature dessert, banana pudding!

I searched for the menu and reviews before coming here (I'm a very thorough planner when it comes to food).

The banana pudding was so cute... I couldn't resist and ordered it right away.

Besides that, there were also lime pie and chocolate bundt cake. There weren't a lot of options, but it felt like they had the essentials. ✨

If I had come with a friend, we would have been screaming about how cute it was, but I came alone and shouted "cute" a million times in my head. ✨

It wasn't too sweet and was the perfect combination with coffee. The banana pudding tasted like something you can only get here, so I highly recommend giving it a try.

Waiting for a Yacht Tour in Haeundae

Originally, the plan was to take a yacht tour from Gwangalli, but even on a weekday during peak vacation season, same-day reservations were difficult to secure.

After several attempts, a time slot opened up in Haeundae instead. With a late lunch already finished and the weather being extremely hot, slowing down felt like the best option.

Discovering a Cafe Near Suyeong Bay Yachting Center

While walking near the Suyeong Bay Yachting Center, a charming cafe naturally caught our attention.

Concerned about parking later in the evening, we parked at the yachting center in advance and walked over, which turned out to be a great decision.

Cafe Atmosphere and Seating

The cafe has a comfortable number of seats, including tables for two, tables for four, and bar seating.

The overall atmosphere felt relaxed and unhurried. Photo zones were thoughtfully arranged, and the restrooms were clean, which added to the pleasant experience.

Refreshing Drinks on a Hot Day

Because of the heat, everyone chose iced drinks. An iced vanilla latte was smooth and balanced, making it easy to enjoy.

The lemon ade stood out with its strong citrus flavor, delivering an instantly refreshing and energizing taste.

Espresso Affogato Moment

The espresso affogato arrived with vanilla ice cream and a shot of espresso.

Pouring the coffee neatly proved harder than expected, but the combination of fragrant espresso and sweet ice cream was excellent, balancing bitterness and sweetness perfectly.

Torabi Cafe Interior

The interior was charming and reminiscent of an attic. The warm atmosphere was lovely, and I imagine it would be beautiful at night too.

There were approximately 11 tables inside, with various seating arrangements for 2-4 people. It seemed perfect for dates or hanging out with friends.

While it's still hot this summer, no one was using the terrace. But I bet it will be super popular once the weather cools down.

Oh, and the restroom is conveniently located inside the cafe!

The combination of citron marmalade and apple tea was refreshing and delicious. The flavor wasn't overpowering but subtle, which I appreciated.

It wasn't too sweet, making it a perfect complement to the desserts.

Condensed Milk Cube Latte - ₩6,500

This latte features espresso frozen into cube form. You pour milk over the cubes and condensed milk.

As soon as I poured the milk into the cup with the condensed milk and espresso cubes, the color changed instantly.

I initially thought the coffee flavor wouldn't be very strong, but it was surprisingly rich and the sweet condensed milk was delightful.

I usually prefer sweet condensed milk coffee, but I often find myself not finishing it as the ice melts and dilutes the flavor.

With the Condensed Milk Cube Latte, the ice is made of espresso, so you can enjoy a rich flavor until the last drop. It's a perfect coffee for my taste!

Fresh Fruit Pavlova - ₩13,000

I was torn between the Banana Nutella Pavlova and the Fresh Fruit Pavlova, but I'm so glad I chose the latter! The visuals were amazing.

It looks so good that it would make a great gift if wrapped up!

I've had Pavlova once before at another place, and it looked like a round pancake.

Torabi's Pavlova was tall, like a cake.

The outside was chewy, and the inside was soft, creating a delightful mix of textures.

What surprised me the most was that the whipped cream wasn't too sweet, making it easy to keep eating.

The meringue part was slightly sweeter than the cream, creating a perfect balance.

Real Chocolat - ₩6,800

I ordered the Real Chocolat because I saw reviews saying it was rich and delicious.

And it was true! The chocolate flavor was intense, and the cake had a dense, fudgy texture, similar to a brownie or gateau.

The white cream in the middle complemented the chocolate perfectly.

If you're craving an intense chocolate flavor and need a sugar rush, I highly recommend the Real Chocolat!

The Real Chocolat was actually a little sweeter than the meringue Pavlova.

It's been a while since I had such a dense cake, so I really enjoyed it. The Real Chocolat paired perfectly with the Yuja Apple Tea.

Torabi, a Hongdae cafe with a crispy yet chewy and charming Pavlova.

Since it's a unique dessert, I recommend visiting if you're looking for something different!

This place is more than just a cafe; it's a complex space that combines a guesthouse and a cafe!

You can enjoy the Donghae ocean view, the Mukho harbor atmosphere, and adorable cats all in one place, making it a highly recommended stop for your trip.

It's a huge plus to be able to enjoy a fantastic view, cute cats, and delicious coffee all at once.

I thought it would be amazing if it were all floor-to-ceiling windows!

The interior of 103LAB is modern with warm wood tones.

The window seats are perfect for taking photos with the sea as a backdrop, ideal for uploading to social media.

It seems they run a guesthouse as well.

The unique structure where the cafe space connects to the accommodation is charming.

I wondered what could be so special about this bread, but apparently it's great for making sandwiches, and the bread itself has something special.

It's sourdough, so it's easy to digest and feels healthy.

This is Tartine Bakery Bukchon.

It was relatively quiet on a weekday afternoon.

No waiting, and there were tables available!

They don't have a huge variety of bread, but you can feel the expertise in each one!

They have pastries with butter, such as croissants, pain au chocolat, and apple pie.

They also have fougasse and baguettes.

There were plenty of Slabs on display, so I was able to buy one easily.

A Slab half size is ₩7,900, and a whole size is ₩13,900.

Even the half size is quite large.

They also have tarts and sandwiches.

They even have some simple merchandise.

I bought a half-size Slab and decided to have a chausson aux pommes for lunch at the bakery.

I thought 'pommes' meant apple, so it must be an apple pie, but it had cream inside!

Gotta make the most of summer by eating lots of bingsu, right? And Bubing has so many menu items I want to try, it's worth going again! 😄

After lunch, I went to CatchTable to put my name on the waiting list, and what is this?!

A whopping 46 teams ahead of me! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

The actual wait time was 106 minutes. I felt everyone's dedication to bingsu that day. 😮

Weekends are definitely busiest on Saturdays. Last time I visited on a Sunday, there were only about 20 teams ahead and the line moved pretty quickly. But this time, the wait was honest and long.

I waited at the Jeongdok Public Library to escape the heat. 😎

It's a quick walk from Bubing, so spending time at the library is a good idea!

I headed to the shop when there were 10 teams left, and the timing was perfect. ⏰

But if you still have some time to kill, here are some places you can visit nearby.

First, there's the MINJUKIM Flagship Store right next to Bubing Bukchon. The store blends beautifully with the traditional Korean house! 😍

Looking at all the lovely products will surely make time fly by, right?

And a little further down the alley is Baek In-je House, where you can spend time exploring.

Baek In-je House is said to be a representative traditional house that preserves the style of modern Korean houses.

Bubing Peach Bingsu

I was skeptical about fruit bingsu because of the bland taste of the yogurt blueberry bingsu last time.

But this peach bingsu is the real deal. At first, I thought, "What's this?" But the more I ate it,

I couldn't stop scooping! The crunchy peaches were a delicacy! 😍

I ambitiously brought my camera, but the space was too small to get a good angle, haha.

But I tried my best to capture it. 😉

Bubing Hojicha Bingsu

The Hojicha Bingsu had a rich hojicha flavor.

It had round mochi and red beans inside, so it felt like eating patbingsu.

I don't know why the first taste was strong but the more I ate it, the more bland it tasted. But it was still better than the blueberry bingsu I had last time.

Personally, I recommend Bubing Buam, the main branch, rather than Bubing Bukchon.

The Bukchon branch is small and the tables are too close together, so it's very chaotic. 😥 So you have to eat the bingsu quickly and leave. Of course, I know that bingsu melts quickly, so you have to eat it quickly, but it was hard to slowly savor it in the noisy atmosphere. The fact that my head was spinning because I ate too fast was a bonus. 😵😵😵😵😵😵😵😵

And including the staff's unfriendliness... 😒 They were just like people working at a busy store in a tourist spot..

I was a little taken aback by how different the branches were, even though there are a lot of people.

We met to keep our promise.

After grabbing a bite in Anam,

we dashed through the rain to a new gelato cafe in Bukchon,

finding our way to Alloro down a charming alley.

One of the biggest advantages of Tales Park is that there are two outdoor playgrounds!

They have separate artificial turf and natural turf playgrounds so you can play in the place you prefer.

The artificial turf playground is connected by two areas, so dogs can run around freely.

Starbucks Tongdosa branch opened a few months ago!

It used to be a private cafe, but somehow it turned into a Starbucks.

At first, it was too crowded, so I thought I should go after a while, and I happened to have something to do at Tongdosa Temple, so I stopped by!

I thought the parking lot right in front was too small, but there was a second parking lot across the street. haha

Passing the main building with a triangular roof and walking to the right, you'll find the annex. The small pond right in front is full of lotus flowers!

Up close, they are the size of a human head!

There were many outdoor seats in the large lawn garden, but it's too hot now, so no way.

Main Building

The ceiling is high and it has glass walls, so it was nice to have a sense of openness.

I think it would be really nice to come in spring or fall.

There were no seats on the first floor, so I went up to the second floor of the main building.

There are terrace seats and group seats on the second floor.

Someone was sitting right in the center studying here. Amazing how they can concentrate in such a noisy place.

The Pensive Bodhisattva that goes under the cup and glows in the dark, which is already sold out, was of course sold out!

There were many menus I wanted to try, but after a hearty Korean beef meal,

I just had a simple Americano and the new Iced Roasted Macadamia Latte!

It was nutty and delicious.

My boyfriend discovered this cafe, and it was so charming that I had to take lots of photos to share on my blog.

If you're traveling to Chungju or looking for a cafe with a serene and peaceful atmosphere, I highly recommend Aria!

Cafe Aria is located at 617-16 Haneomi-ro, Angseong-myeon, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. It's a bit of a drive from downtown Chungju, but that distance is rewarded with stunning views.

The cafe is open daily from 10 AM to 8 PM, with the last order at 7:30 PM. (Closed every Tuesday)

As you approach the cafe, the distinctive Hanok roofline immediately catches your eye. There's ample parking space, so parking wasn't a problem at all. The smoking area is located to the right of the cafe.

The terrace is a perfect spot to visit when the weather is nice, and it's also a pet-friendly area. It's a place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

While the drink menu isn't extensive, they offer unique beverages and desserts. (Note: They don't have decaf, Cafe Mocha or Iced Tea). Instead, you can find options like Persimmon Sujeonggwa (Korean traditional cinnamon punch), and Ssanghwa Tea (Korean herbal tea) shaved ice.

For desserts, fitting for a Hanok cafe, they serve traditional Korean sweets like Gaeseong Juak (Korean fried rice cake), sweet red bean jelly, and Seaweed Bugak (Crispy seaweed chips). It's a great place to visit with older family members. *Gaeseong Juak is only available on weekends.

The interior features a striking wood design, creating a cozy atmosphere where you can comfortably spend time while gazing at the lush greenery outside.

Besides the main building, there's another space resembling a separate annex, offering a variety of atmospheres to enjoy. The Hanok's unique, tranquil feel combined with the natural surroundings creates a truly beautiful setting!

If it hadn't been so hot, I would have loved to sit on the terrace ㅠㅠ. I took many photos to capture the moment!

We ended up sitting on an outdoor wooden platform to escape the hot sun, but it was a bit cramped for three people haha.

Overall, the drinks were delicious, and all my friends and I were very satisfied! Even the paper straws felt aesthetically pleasing haha...

If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing cafe in Chungju, I highly recommend Cafe Aria. It seems like you have to venture a little outside the city to find hidden gems like this. Happy to have concluded my trip to Chungju on such a pleasant note!

I visited "Bimilyeok" (Secret Station), a popular Instagrammable spot in Jeju Island.

From the moment you see the train tracks, you'll feel like you've stepped into a Ghibli film. There are also many photo zones where you can capture memorable moments, so I highly recommend visiting at least once!

The space is divided into three different areas, each with its own unique concept!

The first building you see upon entering is decorated with window designs that make you feel like you're actually on a train, which was a pleasant surprise :)

This is also where you place your order and pick it up, but it felt a bit cramped due to the number of visitors.

Near the counter, there's a small convenience store with Japanese snacks and a corner where you can rent school uniforms, making it a great place to visit with children.

The slightly antique interior provides a classic yet comfortable space to relax and spend time.

This space feels like you've quietly stepped into the lush forest of Totoro.

It's a cozy space where you can escape reality and feel like you've entered a scene from a fairy tale, allowing you to experience healing :)

There's also an outdoor area where you can take a walk, allowing you to enjoy a time closer to nature.

You can feel the atmosphere and emotions of being on a Japanese trip even more deeply.

From brunch to parfaits, puddings, and Ramune, a variety of menu items are available, making you feel like you're on a real Japanese trip :)

I saw this award certificate in my previous restaurant post too. ????

Apparently, it's considered excellent in Yangsan for the cafe/dessert category. ????

You might wonder if this cafe was established in 1975, but

it's actually a cafe that tastefully reinterprets a factory that used to make vacuum tube amplifiers in the past.

I think 1975 is just a symbolic year representing that era~

The interior felt vintage yet had a moody, natural vibe.

The day I visited was rainy, so the sky was cloudy.

I thought, 'It would have been nice to play outside and see the fountain~~,' but

they have seats where you can enjoy looking at the water, which was great for making up for the disappointment indoors.

My child really loves fountains, and

he enjoyed watching the fountain through the window, saying, "The water is going up high~," and "The water is coming out~" Haha.

Of course, I'm a mom who loves everything my child loves. ????

It seems like people take a lot of pictures on sunny days~~

They even had tripods available for rent!

This is the beverage refrigerator where kids can buy drinks~

Looking at it from here, the drinks are displayed at children's eye level.

And I made a mistake... I clearly said when I came in,

I remember having to park at the entrance and walk quite a bit before, but now you can drive all the way in, which is much more convenient.

Parking is paid, but free parking is also available.

More than anything, being able to drive all the way in was a big plus! I was happy with that in this hot weather.

The gentle breeze and the sound of the valley water created a truly immersive experience in nature.

Maybe because it's been raining lately, there was a good amount of water in the valley.

20 years ago, we used to be able to dip our feet in the valley water after a walk in the summer, but access to the valley has been restricted for some time now.

But I've been seeing posts about Chiaksan valley popping up lately.

After searching, I found out that it's temporarily open only during the summer. How did I not know this? Was I the only one?

I don't think I've seen the temporary opening announced anywhere...

There's not much to do in Wonju as it is, so please promote it a little.....

It was a hot day, so I didn't walk for too long, just a short stroll. The scenery is always healing, and I love it.

Afterward, I went up to a cafe and observation deck with a panoramic view of Chiaksan Mountain.

The elevator only goes to the 1st and 2nd floors, but the height seemed to be about 7 stories of an apartment building.

Don't trust my eyesight; it's not accurate.

Here, I could use the livelihood recovery consumption coupon, so I paid for my drink with my card.

Free parking is provided for 2 hours, but you have to mention it to the counter first. If you don't ask, you might be charged. They say a lot of customers walk up, so they don't ask everyone individually.

Still, I think they should ask.

Hanul Cafe near Guryongsa Temple in Chiaksan Mountain doesn't have a set day off.

If a day off is scheduled, it will be announced separately on Naver.

Usually, it's open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

I quenched my thirst and enjoyed the mountain scenery in the distance, a treat for the eyes. This concluded my short walk for the day.

Even though it was short, it was enough to refresh me, making it perfect for a weekend.

But when I visited, it was a tranquil cafe.

A trendy cafe worth visiting after enjoying the Run Hub.

My wife and I visited the New Balance Bukchon Run Hub and were looking for a landmark-like place that runners could visit in this area after their 'dog-running'.

I saw online that the Bukchon Run Hub and Camel Coffee Seochon branch seem to have a marketing partnership.

So, after finishing our dog run, we crossed Gyeongbokgung Palace and headed to Camel Coffee Seochon.

The fastest way to get from Samcheong-dong to Hyoja-dong is through Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Actually, there were many pretty cafes in this area besides Camel Coffee.

My wife was fascinated by the ceiling paintings of Gyeongbokgung Palace's gate and spent a long time taking pictures to capture beautiful shots.

This place, with its extraordinary exterior, seemed to have regulations on new construction, though I couldn't be sure.

Stepping inside, I saw people leisurely enjoying their coffee in a spacious area.

These days, I seem to prefer cafes with a rough and natural feel in their interior design, rather than sleek and modern ones.

The cafe has two floors, and the window seats on the second floor offer a comfortable and refreshing view that soothes the mind.

I wanted to grab a seat on the second floor, but it's not easy to find a spot in a popular cafe.

Since we went on a weekday after lunchtime, I imagine there's even a waiting line on weekends.

We found seats on the first floor and ordered one of each of their two signature menu items, as well as a cheese tart that my wife wanted to try.

Even the order slip, simple as it was, had a certain charm.

The area labeled 'kitchen' was where they were diligently brewing coffee. Two staff members were stationed there, quickly preparing drinks.

We waited for our drinks, taking pictures at a large table in the innermost part of the first floor.

The tart was incredibly rich and delicious, and both coffees were great, although the portion sizes were a bit small.

The seating was a little uncomfortable, but it didn't detract from enjoying the delicious coffee and tart at all.

I took pictures of my wife, and she took pictures of me. I finally got a photo I liked after a long time and immediately changed my profile picture.

Outside, there was a small park-like area where runners gather on weekends.

It seems like many people like to relax shirtless near the cafe.

It would be great if they offered a runner discount!

I visited Offer Cafe, a bakery famous in Hongdae.

Stepping inside, I found the cafe to be spacious and neatly decorated.

It was also very popular with lots of customers.

There's a self-service bar available.

They also have an outdoor space. It would be perfect on a nice day!

Since it was raining, it felt charming and cozy.

They had a wide variety of bread!

I wanted to try so many of them.

I recently stumbled upon W.O.N, a large cafe in Hapjeong. I thought, "Why not take a look?" and went inside, but I was surprised by how crowded it was!

There were many customers in their late teens and early twenties, and they were taking pictures everywhere. 📸

The interior had great photo spots, making it a good place for taking pictures. I was even surprised to see people lining up to take photos... haha.

It's located right between Hapjeong Station and Hongik University Station.

It's also within walking distance from Sangsu Station.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Hapjeong Station, Hongik University Station, or Sangsu Station. It's not super close to the stations, but I think it's popular because there aren't many cafes of this size nearby. ❤️

The entrance had an image of salt bread, so I was curious about it.

They offer various discounts, such as 10% off for students with a student ID or employees with an employee ID on weekdays, and 20% off for customers visiting between 11 AM and 3 PM.

The interior is dark, but there are many photo zones where you can take good pictures, so young people were lining up to take photos.

The basement feels like a cave?! I heard the first floor has a camping vibe, but I didn't feel that vibe.

People were really lining up to take photos! Amazing... I didn't take any photos myself, but it was interesting to see. I could really feel the youthful atmosphere.

The cafe limits weekend visits to 2 hours.

There was a wide variety of baked goods on display in a showcase, which felt very hygienic.

Salt bread was the main item, but I was too full to try it this time. I want to try it next time!😋

On the second day of our summer vacation in Busan, after a morning stroll along Haeundae Beach, my wife and I were in the mood for brunch. So, we headed towards Haeridan-gil.

This trip was extra special because it was just the two of us. We wanted to spend some relaxing time in a charming cafe, and that's how we found Cafe Haeundae 1994.

Location & Atmosphere

The cafe is located at 1st floor, 122, Lamuette, 620, Haeundae-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan, right in front of Haeundae Station Exit 7, making it extremely accessible.

The building also has parking facilities up to five basement levels, and the cafe provides parking support for customers, which is a huge plus for travelers.

The interior had a warm and inviting atmosphere, typical of local cafes. Although somewhat small, it featured old photos of Haeundae throughout, capturing the history of the area.

A cute coffee plant was placed on a small table, adding to the cozy feel. The decor also provided great photo opportunities.

What caught my eye was the wall displaying signatures and mementos from celebrities. Records showed that BTS's Jungkook, actor Go Kyung Pyo, and even the musical teams of The Lion King and The Phantom of the Opera had visited. Few cafes in Haeundae's Haeridan-gil boast such an impressive list of visitors.

Coffee Beans and Gift Items

This place isn't just a cafe; it also sells directly roasted coffee beans. In a corner of the cafe, you can find not only bags of beans but also drip bags, cold brew, and mugs, all reasonably priced between ₩10,000 and ₩50,000, making them perfect for gifts.

We even heard that they supplied drip bags for the Busan Port Authority's 20th-anniversary 기념, which made us feel very confident about the quality. While they're great as travel gifts, the fact that they supply to corporations and organizations shows just how high the quality is.

As soon as we walked in, the variety of drinks and breads caught our attention. The salt bread and croffles, in particular, looked delicious.

The drink menu was conveniently organized by the Top 20 most popular items, making it easy for first-time visitors to choose. They also had yogurt smoothies perfect for summer, and offered discounts for purchasing bread sets.

My wife and I ordered two types of salt bread (butter salt bread and garlic salt bread) and two drinks.

My wife chose the refreshing Blueberry Banana Smoothie, and I went for the signature Haeundae Sand Festival Coffee.

Menu Review

The presentation of the two types of salt bread on a pretty plate immediately caught our attention.

The Butter Salt Bread, with its crispy exterior and chewy interior, was bursting with savory butter flavor with every bite.

The Garlic Salt Bread had a strong garlic aroma, reminiscent of garlic bread, and its thick, sticky texture was addictive.

The signature Haeundae Sand Festival Coffee was a unique menu item with a clever twist. It contained savory black sesame seeds, offering a flavor you can't easily find elsewhere.

The deep flavor of the strong espresso and the savory sesame aroma blended surprisingly well, giving a refreshing twist.

My wife's Blueberry Banana Smoothie was sweet and refreshing, perfectly quenching our thirst on a hot summer day.

Cafe Haeundae 1994 is more than just another cafe in Haeundae. With its directly roasted coffee beans, various gift products, and history of supplying to corporations, it is a trustworthy local brand.

There's no dedicated parking for the cafe. You can park at the Daegu Nam-gu Senior Club after 6 PM on weekdays and on weekends. Otherwise, use the Duryu Park Culture and Arts Center parking lot.

Entering through the sign on the road is an experience in itself.

The entrance was so unique that my boyfriend and I couldn't help but be amazed!

It's a large, 4-story cafe renovated from a house. Children are restricted from entering the terrace and rooftop for safety reasons, and pets are only allowed in the outdoor areas.

After ordering on the first floor, we went straight up to the second floor. The interior was filled with green plants, creating a lovely atmosphere. It felt like we were on vacation! ✨

There were plenty of seats throughout the cafe, with tables and chairs perfectly matching the cafe's concept.

It would be great to sit outside in the spring or fall when it's not too hot. The plants are a feast for the eyes!

The tray also suited the garden cafe concept, and the whole experience felt exotic, like being on vacation.

I chose the cake because of its colorful appearance, and it tasted as good as it looked! It was fun to eat, with a variety of fruits like kiwi and grapefruit.

Whenever I go to a cafe with an ice cream latte, I order it without hesitation. The ice cream latte here had a generous amount of ice cream, and the coffee was perfectly strong. Even when the ice cream melted, it wasn't diluted and remained delicious!

I ordered the Choux Croissant, Pandoro, Peach Ade, and an Americano. To be honest, everything was delicious.

The Choux Croissant was crispy on the outside, moist and sweet on the inside, with a hint of cinnamon. I thought, "Wow... this is truly top-tier!"

The Pandoro was fluffy and the sweet cream filled my mouth, making me happy with every bite.

The Peach Ade had a refreshing, fizzy texture with bursts of sweet peach flavor.

It was the perfect combination with the baked goods! And, of course, the Iced Americano was perfect as well.

The atmosphere is also amazing. A large indoor garden with beautiful lighting and plants, combined with the aroma of bread and coffee, made it a truly healing space.

Just sitting there, I felt like I was in a cool forest, so relaxing. It's already quite famous, but I still want to recommend it.

Located with a beautiful mountain view, Danpung boasts ample parking space, a significant advantage. Even with a steady stream of visitors, parking remains plentiful.

The cafe features a spacious area with a terrace and front yard, creating a seamless connection with nature.

Despite feeling like a distant escape, Danpung is conveniently located just 30 minutes from Gangnam and 10 minutes from Bundang.

The cafe's name, 'Danpung' (meaning 'Maple' in Korean), comes from the numerous maple trees surrounding the area. It must be especially beautiful during the spring and fall when the leaves change colors.

Danpung offers a rooftop and terraces (1F / 2F / ROOFTOP). The outdoor terrace also has a pet-friendly space, making it a great place for dog owners.

The cafe has diverse drinks and desserts. Their signature Cream Latte and Danpung Blending coffee are popular.

They serve coffee, and they also brew and sell Colombian coffee beans directly in the store. I bought a cold brew to drink at work!

We ordered a variety of items, which meant we weren’t hungry for dinner! We tried Iced Matcha Latte and Iced Caffe Latte. We also ordered Basque cheesecake and Carrot cake to go with our coffee.

The drinks and desserts were presented beautifully, matching the cafe's clean and stylish ambiance. Both the cakes and drinks were delicious! The latte had a nutty flavor that everyone would enjoy. I enjoyed my Matcha Latte.

The rooftop also has a large group seating area. The weather is getting cooler, making it the perfect season to sit on the rooftop or terrace. It was a nice and pleasant atmosphere with Cheonggyesan Mountain nearby. I felt refreshed after spending quality time surrounded by nature!

The cafe's atmosphere was peaceful and close to nature, which I particularly enjoyed. Facing Cheonggyesan Mountain made me feel like I was hiking, even though I wasn't! I enjoyed feeling refreshed.

The sky from the cafe was clear and blue. The tropical nights are over, and it's getting cooler.

Looking at the mountain on the other side was so green, making my eyes and mind feel at ease.

The separate restrooms on the first floor were clean and well-designed. I was satisfied with my visit. I was able to relax, have a delicious drink and dessert. I had initially planned to read a book, but we ended up enjoying the view of the mountain and talking. I hope I can visit again someday soon on a sunny or rainy day.

The Mango Bingsoo has arrived! Because the restaurant has good lighting, it's bright and the food looks even more delicious!

The Mango Bingsoo comes with well-ripened mango and sweet red beans.

Two kinds of syrup also come with it: mango syrup and condensed milk. After eating all the mango on top, you can sprinkle it on the white snow flower milk when only that's left.

The snow flower ice under the mango was as smooth as hotel bingsoo. The milk is finely ground, which is nice, and it's not too sweet, which I liked!! It is slightly sweet, but I don't like bingsoo that's too sweet, so it tasted really luxurious and I liked it.

It felt like they cared about my health.

Fresh Mango Ade:

I really liked the fresh mango ade! The mango is sliced whole on top, and the ade is made with sparkling water, so the mango part on top is juicy and sweet, and the bottom isn't too sweet, which I liked.

Honestly, I don't like eating things that are just too sweet because I think they're bad for my body.

The food here is great because they give you the red beans separately and the syrup isn't always included.

The mango bingsoo is great too!

The watermelon juice had a lot of watermelon in it, and the cool, sweet taste was great for an energy boost! ❣️

After a trip to Cheonggyesan Mountain, I visited 37.5 Cheonggyesan Branch! The signature mango bingsoo with chewy fresh mango slices and soft snow flower milk ice, and the mango ade that wasn't too sweet, filled me with refreshment. The Gochang watermelon juice was also sweet and delicious, and the drinks were generous in size. Thanks to the clean interior and convenient valet parking, it was a very satisfying visit!

We were pretty full, so we decided to find a quiet place, which led us to Jiteun.

It's on the opposite side from Spacca Napoli. I don't know this area well, but Seoul is always crowded!

However, this street seemed relatively quiet.

The cafe wasn't very big, and there weren't many seats.

It had a quiet atmosphere, but the chairs weren't particularly comfortable.

I also had a cold, so the chairs felt even more uncomfortable.

Maybe the chairs were a bit too high?

At first, there weren't many customers, but it filled up as we were leaving.

But it wasn't a noisy cafe.

I think I saw that this place is famous for its baked goods.

It was incredibly easy to find, located right in front of Exit 1 of Ttukseom Station.

It's also close to popular date spots like Seoul Forest and Yeonmujang-gil.

I walked there after visiting a famous gamjatang (pork bone stew) restaurant near Seongsu Station, and it was a quick and pleasant stroll.

The cafe stands out with its vibrant orange interior!

Even the waiting area seating is a cheerful orange hue.

Besides delicious lattes, this Seongsu-dong cafe also offers a wide variety of desserts.

2. Menu

The "Horeang Latte" (iced only) and "Bean Flat" (hot only) are the coffee mainstays, and a unique Whiskey Coffee also caught my eye.

They offer a variety of cookies, tigres, madeleines, and more, all with adorable tiger-themed designs.

The tigre is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, so I didn't get to try it, but the other desserts were so good that I'm already looking forward to trying it next time!

We ordered the Horeang Latte (₩6,000), Horeang Affogato (₩6,000), Crispy & Chewy Red Velvet Cookie (₩4,000), Soft & Moist Plain Cookie (₩3,000), and Horeang Madeleine (₩2,400).

The interior was more spacious than it appeared from the outside, with three tables available.

They also provide non-woven bags for storing your belongings and a sink for washing your hands, showing their thoughtful consideration for customers.

All the items were served at once, which was great!

The tiger-themed cookies were particularly eye-catching.

After posting a photo on my Instagram story, I received tons of DMs asking where it was.

It must be difficult to come up with a specific concept and even more challenging to maintain it, but this place gives off such a strong and cohesive vibe that I had high expectations for the taste of their coffee and desserts.

The Horeang Latte, Horeang-icano's signature menu item, had an impressive tiger stripe design, and we were advised to stir it well before drinking.

It's made with homemade vanilla bean syrup, and the sweetness and richness were perfectly balanced. I don't usually like sweet coffee, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

The Horeang Madeleines come as a set of two!

I was so curious about how they were made. They were moist and sweet on the inside, and absolutely delicious!

The Red Velvet Cookie had marshmallows inside, so you could enjoy a crispy exterior and a chewy interior at the same time.

The Soft & Moist Cookie contained chocolate and nuts, which is totally my style!

The Horeang Affogato came with a ₩1,000 Horeang Butter Cookie, which I was very happy about!

Scooping up the ice cream with the coffee underneath was also fantastic.

Cutting up the tiger-shaped butter cookie with a spoon and eating it together also went really well!

When you go to a place with such a strong concept, it's not just about the food; you can also enjoy looking around at the interior and items, and there are so many things to talk about.

I highly recommend this Seongsu-dong latte spot as a date location! Make sure to visit!

Yangjaecheon Cafe Street

I especially love Yangjaecheon in the spring and summer.

I guess it's because I love nature in the city...

Went out for a family dinner to celebrate my youngest sibling's birthday.

The weather was amazing!

The scenery on the way was so beautiful, I took a million pictures.

**Parking Tip**

The parking lot behind Manu Terrace (Haengun Private Parking) is expensive (₩6,000 per hour) and doesn't have many spaces.

So, we walked a bit further and parked at Yangjae Public Parking.

It's ₩1,800 per hour, spacious, clean, and a convenient underground parking lot.

We went to Manu Terrace, which I'd been wanting to try!

We ordered four lunch courses, each with a different main dish.

We made a reservation in advance.

They operate lunch in two seatings, and the restaurant gets very crowded, so I recommend making a reservation!

Especially if you want a seat on the terrace, you definitely need a reservation, and it seems like you have to order at least one bottle of alcohol for terrace seating.

First came the bread and appetizer.

That sauce that looks like a fried egg was so delicious!

Honestly...the portions were...well, "cute," according to my family.

I think it was carrot cake, and it was tasty.

The lunch course is ₩33,000 per person, so considering the location, atmosphere, food, and plating, it's not bad and worth trying at least once.

But if you're a big eater like me, you might need to go for a second meal!

So, we ended up going to a cafe and getting a sandwich and cake.

Brewing Effect!

It seems quite famous among the locals, as there was a steady stream of customers.

It's hidden in an alley in Cheonggyesan entrance station Cheongnyong Village.

You can park in front of the store.

Personally, I loved the mugwort cake, and above all, I loved the interior design.

There's seating on the first floor and basement floor.

It's a great place to study or work quietly, or just sit comfortably and read a book or watch a movie on your iPad.

I love this sense of openness!

• Large Cafe in Wonju: A Must-Visit for Mango Bingsu!

• The drive was a bit challenging, but the cafe is absolutely fantastic.

Right after arriving in Gangwon-do, our first stop was this cafe! The GPS led us on a strange route, making us almost doubt its existence. But upon arrival, it was love at first sight.

I never imagined such a wide-open space could be hidden away like this!

This cafe attracts a diverse crowd – families, friends, couples, and groups of all ages. It definitely gives off a successful vibe.

They have an incredibly spacious parking lot (thumbs up!). It's perfectly sized for a large cafe like this.

We skipped the drinks and went straight for the mango bingsu. It costs ₩29,000 and is made with fresh mangoes.

There's seating on both the first and second floors. We headed upstairs, claimed our spot, and noticed everyone else enjoying their own mango bingsu. That confirmed my choice – the mango bingsu is definitely the signature item!

Behold! Mango bingsu piled high with fresh mangoes. They even put dry ice under the bowl for a cool, smoky effect. And thoughtfully provided cups and spoons for everyone in our group.

Wow, the mangoes were so sweet and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I'd been craving mango bingsu all summer, and I finally satisfied my craving here in Gangwon-do! :)

After happily patting our full bingsu bellies, we left the cafe and noticed a restaurant and a campsite under construction. The surrounding area is all mountains, so you can feast your eyes and lungs. Enjoy a meal, a drink, and a stroll with views of the Gangwon-do mountains – the perfect forest experience!

It's been a while since I wandered around Hapjeong and Mangwon-dong, browsing various things.

I used to live in Mapo and still visit Hapjeong and Mangwon-dong frequently due to their proximity to my current residence.

After a long search for a spacious and quiet cafe with a pleasant atmosphere, I'm finally posting about it.

This cafe is great for working or having conversations in a relaxed setting and it's also pet-friendly!

Getting there: 10-15 minute walk from Mangwon Station Exit 2 (or take Mapo Village Bus No. 16 from Hapjeong Station for about 10 minutes)

They offer espresso and filter coffee (you can choose the beans for filter coffee only), as well as ades, teas, whiskeys, and desserts.

For our order, we had an Americano (₩4,800) and a Cafe Latte (₩5,800).

They only had one type of bean, but the Americano had a pleasant, slightly acidic aroma, which made it even more delicious. It wasn't weak like some other cafes, but had just the right strength, so I really enjoyed it! I'll have to try the filter coffee with bean selection next time!

The exterior looks like a beautiful house from a foreign country, which gives it a great atmosphere and makes you want to go inside!

When the weather gets cooler or even better, it would be great to sit outside on the terrace.

Overall, soft music plays in the background, making it a great place to work. Many people were there with their laptops. On one side, people were having animated conversations. I sat next to the quiet workers, which allowed me to enjoy my coffee more peacefully.

There seems to be more space on the 2nd floor, so I'll have to check it out next time!

I don't like coffee that's too weak, and this place was perfect. It had just the right strength and a pleasant acidity. And what was even better was that I saw a review that said there's a dog at this cafe! I was lucky enough to see it. Isn't it adorable? It seems to be the one! Since it's pet-friendly, other customers also brought their dogs.

If you have a dog, this seems like a great cafe to bring them to without worry!

I vividly remember bringing the children here when they were small, and now my eldest is already going to middle school next year!

I remember the first time we came, the kids ran around in the white pebble courtyard. Back then, the pebbles were new, and white dust would get all over their Crocs. Now, with time, that's no longer the case.

After a short wait, we were seated at a table for four. Onion Cafe seems to be very popular with foreigners. I wonder if it's mentioned in travel books?

The interior beautifully showcases the traditional Korean 'Hanok' style.

Here's the menu. Considering the location, the drink prices aren't too bad.

We stopped by to escape the heat before dinner, so we settled on two drinks and two pastries.

The variety of breads made it hard to choose!

We ended up choosing the Salt Bread and the Olive Bacon Bread.

The Olive Bacon bread is quite large. It costs 7,000 won. It's moist, soft, and has a lovely basil aroma.

The Salt Bread isn't overly buttery and is perfect for a light bite.

For drinks, we ordered an Iced Americano and a Chocolate Latte.

While waiting, I snapped a picture of the courtyard. Many people were taking 기념사진 (commemorative photos).

This is the Iced Americano. It's the strong coffee I like! If you prefer it lighter, wait for the ice to melt a little.

This Chocolate Latte's full name is "This Chocolate Latte is Guaranteed to be the Best" (literal translation). Uniquely, it contains a hint of mint. Real mint-chocolate! If you dislike mint chocolate, choose something else.

Here's the Salt Bread. The butter hole is smaller than in other places. Personally, I don't like Salt Bread with too much butter, but this one is on the lighter side.

There's always a wait at this cafe. However, the space is large, so you don't have to wait too long. If you want to enjoy 고급진 (high-quality) tea and delicious desserts in a Hanok cafe, give it a try!

I've always loved pretty cafes, so a trip to Memory Factory, known for its beautiful atmosphere in Sejong, was a must!

It felt like being in a lush, green forest village.

Ending my August trip to Sejong with a visit to Memory Factory! Let me share my review of this beautiful Sejong cafe.

After having fun at the National Sejong Arboretum, I wanted to relax in a beautiful atmosphere, so I went to Memory Factory.

The terrace on the first floor immediately caught my eye.

The antique European atmosphere was so romantic! If it wasn't for the summer heat, this would have been my spot.

Since there were many people on the first floor, I didn't take too many pictures. But there are seats for groups on the first floor.

I went up to the second floor. The props and decorations were so pretty, they really caught my eye.

I wish my living room was like this! The second floor has a pretty and comfortable atmosphere.

The high-rise buildings of the Sejong New Town were reflected in the window.

The terrace zone on the second floor was also my style!

My friend and I kept saying how much we loved all the pretty spots.

The Memory Factory's menu. As expected from a place known for its delicious coffee, the coffee lineup is excellent! And their Memory Selection is truly special. The beans are directly traded from a Colombian farm - I've never seen that anywhere else.

Gelato lovers, pay attention! Their gelato isn't brought from a factory, but made in-house with fresh milk! I'll definitely have to try it next time.

The desserts at Memory Factory are fantastic. Handmade breads, cookies, and sandwiches are baked with the finest ingredients.

Unfortunately, when I arrived late, some of the bread was already gone. I'll have to come earlier next time!

We ordered their signature Coffee Memory and a Pistachio Cream Cafe Latte. We also chose the Garlic Bread and plain Bread.

Just looking at them made me happy!

The Pistachio Cream Cafe Latte that I chose was filled with pistachio flavor, and I really loved it.

The Garlic Bread wasn't just slightly flavored with garlic - it had a strong garlic flavor and I could really taste the garlic.

The Bread was also light and fluffy. I loved the dense texture.

I highly recommend Memory Factory as a date spot. The bakery, drinks, and atmosphere were all satisfying.

Memory Factory Sejong is open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM.

I heard this place is currently very popular, so I expected a long wait. Luckily, there was only one table left, and I managed to snag it! Getting a seat was fortunate, but if you want a spot with a nice view or a comfortable sofa, you should definitely arrive early as those fill up quickly.

The sky looks a bit different in the photos because I took them at various times of the day. But today, the weather is great, and it's not raining!

This cafe has quite a few outdoor seats, so it would be amazing to visit on a nice day. Even though it was a scorching 30 degrees Celsius today, there was a pleasant, gentle breeze.

Next to the bread ordering area, there's a variety of cute merchandise, including cups, coffee beans (ground), coffee capsules, and glassware.

They sell a wide range of items, making it fun to browse. It's a good idea to visit to relax and look around!

Out of all the items, I bought the one holding the Korean flag!

I ordered a drink and bread, specifically the Raspberry Crumb, which was a high-quality mammoth bread with a strong, tangy jam. But, I liked the Manager's Special (Peach) even more...

The Americano and Raspberry Crumb cost ₩10,300, which is a reasonable price.

The inside of the Raspberry Crumb looks like this. The raspberry flavor is quite intense, so it's not recommended if you're looking for something mildly sweet. But if you like tangy flavors, I recommend it.

Also, there were many items with cute seal-like characters drawn on them, which I found adorable.

It was so crowded and busy that I couldn't concentrate on reading, so I ended up playing games. ㅋㅅㅋ

But if I read half the book, that's a success, right? ~.~

This is a book I've been waiting a week to read... A small notebook and pencil are essential when reading. :)

I initially wanted to use the small notebook to jot down sudden bursts of inspiration, but now I carry it with me everywhere to write down my feelings and emotions in different situations. I use it to record my negative feelings or any lessons I can learn from my current circumstances. :)

I don't have profound thoughts every day, but having the habit of carrying a small notebook and writing things down is a good habit in the long run.

It's worth visiting once. It's still relatively new, so it's very crowded. I'll probably go again when it's less busy or on a weekday...ㅎㅅㅎ Especially since it's a cafe with a courtyard, it would be even more charming at night! If you happen to be in the Dongdaemun area, the inside of the cafe is very cool, so it's a nice place to relax!

The Sylvanian Cafe is located a 2-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hongik University Station.

You'll know you've arrived when you see the Sylvanian Families stickers plastered on the exterior. Prepare for instant cuteness!

Visited around 3 PM on a weekend. Although the cafe is spacious, it was packed, and all the tables were full.

I wandered around for about 5 minutes, looking for someone leaving, and snagged their table.

There's no official waiting list, but be aware that finding a table might be tricky!

Interior Space (Photo Zones):

There are several photo zones available. If you love taking pictures, I highly recommend this place!

There are three main photo zones.

The first photo zone is at the entrance.

There are three large Sylvanian Families figure friends.

It's the perfect spot to sit next to the Sylvanians and take photos.

I really want to take them home... They're so cute! There's also a mirror nearby, which is great for taking selfies.

The second photo zone is in front of the ordering area inside the cafe.

There are six dolls featuring the theme of this collaboration, "Baby Chef's Attic Cafe."

The chef outfits are so adorable! I wish they would just keep doing this theme...

The third photo zone is tucked away in the left corner of the cafe.

This is actually the main photo zone.

There was a bit of a line here.

There are a total of 4 tables with Sylvanian Families friends seated at them.

It's clearly decorated for photos, so the pictures turn out great.

Since it was crowded, I just took some quick snaps and left.

It seems like you'd need at least 20 minutes to take proper photos, especially on weekends.

It seems to take longer because only those who are serious about photos come.

They also sell merchandise. Although there might be a wait during busy times, I was able to enter right away.

I'm not a huge Sylvanian fan, but I visited because it was so cute, and I really enjoyed it.

The cafe is cool and spacious, and there are several photo zones, so it's relatively easy to take pictures.

If you ever go to Hongdae, be sure to stop by. It's a place where you can truly relax!

The day I visited, the afternoon sunlight streamed gently through the windows. I still remember the scones and coffee I had there, surrounded by LOAF HOUSE's unique calm and warm atmosphere.

LOAF HOUSE has a subtly cozy and sophisticated atmosphere, even though it's not flashy.

The overall combination of wooden furniture and warm lighting creates a calm vibe.

The cafe is large with high ceilings and plenty of seating, so I was worried the sound would echo, but it was very quiet.

It's a large cafe where you can stay calmly, which was even better.

The window seats are especially highly recommended! The view of the greenery outside is so pretty that you can relax just by sitting there.

When I went, it was at a time when sunlight was seeping through the trees, and even the shadows looked like works of art.

This is exactly the kind of hidden gem I want to keep to myself! It's a beautiful view and space that you can only experience at Loaf.

A Cafe Near Hapjeong Station That's Serious About Scones

If you go to LOAF HOUSE, you must try the scones.

This place doesn't just bake scones, they create them with the philosophy of capturing a day's worth of relaxation in a single scone.

I'm not really a scone person, but I really enjoyed the scones at LOAF HOUSE.

The outside is crispy and the inside is moist, with solid basics and lively details.

There were so many kinds of scones, I was wondering what to choose.

I ordered the corn cheese scone and the plain scone! And the Loaf Speuvener and matcha latte.

Loaf Speuvener 6.5

LOAF HOUSE's best and recommended menu item, the Loaf Speuvener,

is actually a signature menu that many other cafes try, so I wondered what would be different?

The Loaf House Speuvener is definitely different.

You'll feel it right away when you taste it.

The cream on top isn't too heavy and melts softly, mixing well with the rich coffee.

When you take a sip, the sweetness of the cream and the bitterness of the espresso alternate in your mouth, and there's a subtle nutty flavor.

It's really addictive.

The cream is also beautifully presented when you take pictures, so the visuals are perfect! ✨

It was so delicious that I exclaimed out loud, and it's a menu I'll definitely order again next time.

Matcha Latte 6.0

The green color of the matcha latte went so well with the view from LOAF HOUSE's window.

I was worried it would be too sweet, but the sweetness was subtle, and the rich, nutty flavor of the matcha came first, which I liked even more.

The bitter matcha scent spreads, followed by the smoothness of the milk, which is surprisingly refreshing and goes well with scones.

Plain / Corn Cheese

The basic of the basics, plain scone!

It's a really well-made scone.

Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside.

It's savory and nutty even on its own, but it's a great combination with coffee.

There's a reason why it's called one of the best scone restaurants in Seoul.

In fact, the star of the day was the corn cheese scone.

Crispy on the outside and the combination of corn and cheese inside is fantastic!

When you take a bite while it's warm, the savory flavor of the cheese is doubled, followed by the sweetness of the corn, and it's like they've moved corn cheese straight into a scone.

I usually think scones are just dry, but here the moist and fluffy texture remains, making it fun to eat.

Personally, the corn cheese scone was my number one pick among the menu items I ate that day.

Overall Review

If you're looking for a cafe near Hapjeong Station, I can confidently recommend LOAF HOUSE.

But I really wish it wouldn't become famous.... That's my real wish.

I'm already 200% sure I'll visit again.

I want to go alone... hehe.

It seems like this place is located in downtown Daegu.

I initially went just for the original Peach Cream Bread,

But they had so many other tasty breads!!

They even had the Dubai Cookie that's trending these days.

While I was choosing my bread, the owner gave me a piece of their Apple Bread to try,

And it was seriously amazing!

They also gave me a sample of the Mochi Mocha Bread to try,

Which was also delicious!

This place is just a bread 맛집 (delicious restaurant)!

I came for the cream bread but was more drawn to the other breads. TT

I even wanted to buy the Scallion Cream Cheese Bagel,

But I didn't because I thought I'd be the only one eating it, and I regret it. TT

I chose things that everyone in my family could eat, since they don't really eat cream cheese, but I'm regretting it.

I should have just bought everything!

Besides the bakery breads, they also had rusk, hollow bread, and more.

They had a huge selection.

They were also selling jam.

They also had Salt Bread, Croissants, etc.

They had a variety of baked goods and castella.

And besides the Peach Cream Bread,

They also had Strawberry, Milk, and Sweet Potato Cream Bread.

The Peach Cream Bread is famous,

So I only bought that one, but I feel like the Milk one would have been delicious too!

The showcase had sandwiches, Choco Beombeok (chocolate-covered bread), drinks, and more.

They even had cakes!

My family likes mango, so I wanted to buy a big one,

But I didn't have the courage to carry it, so I didn't buy it and I regret it so much! TT

If their bread is this good, I think the cake would have been amazing too! TT

I'm going back here when I go to Daegu.

Besides whole cakes, they also had small cup tiramisu,

So even if you're disappointed, be sure to try at least the cup tiramisu.

Today, I'm introducing a cafe located in Yudalsan Mountain in Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, famous for its amazing view and delicious shaved ice:

It's known for its great atmosphere and relaxing vibe. So, when I went on a trip to Mokpo,

I visited to relax and enjoy some delicious shaved ice.

It's about a 5-minute walk from the parking lot to the cafe, so

(I got a little lost because the directions were confusing..haha)

After parking in the free Yudalsan Mountain parking lot,

head towards the Yudalsan Mountain Trail and look for the 'Nojeokbong' sign.

It's about a 3-5 minute walk from there.

Be careful climbing up as there are stairs and the path is narrow.

As soon as you enter the cafe, you'll notice that the entire wall is made of windows,

allowing you to fully enjoy the lush forest view.

Just sitting there makes you feel relaxed.

There are plenty of tables, making it great for group visits :)

There are also seats available on basement level 1.

The door is made of stone,

making you feel like you're entering a secret room.

Be careful not to get hurt when pushing open the heavy door.

giving it a much more open and spacious feel.

Jinshim Castella Bucheon is located on the 1st floor of the building right next to Bucheon City Hall Station, Exit 5.

Parking is available in the building's underground parking lot. It was a bit crowded, but we were able to find a spot. There were so many cars!

Looking at the delicious-looking castella from outside, we checked out the variety and decided to go in!

Jinshim Castella in Bucheon is a cozy place. As soon as you enter, you can place your order at the kiosk on the left.

The friendly owner greeted us with a welcoming smile, which made us even happier as we looked at the menu and ordered.

Here's a look at the menu and prices at Jinshim Castella in Bucheon. From the original Jinshim Castella to Fresh Cream Castella with fresh cream, Chocolate Castella, Mocha, and even Mugwort, there was an amazing variety.

I thought castella only came in the original flavor, but I was surprised by the variety and even more amazed by the taste!

They also sell fresh cream separately, which would be great to buy and dip or spread on for an even more diverse experience!

I ordered the Fresh Cream Castella, and it was amazing to watch the owner make it right in front of me. Wow... just looking at the amount of cream, you could tell he was putting in a lot of effort to generously spread it!

I went on a weekend afternoon, and there were a lot of delivery orders coming in. It seemed like a lot of people were ordering castella and coffee. They were constantly making castella and sending out deliveries. Ah, you know it's a good place when that happens!

So, I brought home the Jinshim Castella.

I was surprised by how heavy the castella box was, and I was also impressed by the owner's thoughtfulness in carefully packaging it with a knife and fork!

I was completely amazed by the visual of the castella stamped with "Jinshim" (sincerity). The weight of the Jinshim Castella was exceptional. So fluffy!

It looked so soft that I poked it with my finger, and it was incredibly fluffy. Ah, how delicious would it be to take a bite! It's such a soft and fluffy castella that it would go well with coffee or milk!

The castella looked so thick and soft, with plenty of cream in between the layers, that it felt like I could fall into the cream. As someone who loves cream, I really like this Fresh Cream Castella!

The kids saw the Jinshim Castella Fresh Cream Bread and ran over immediately.

It felt a little sad to eat just the fresh cream, so I added some chocolate cream, which was so delicious. Not too sweet, soft, and the best!

I sliced it into easy-to-eat pieces, and the yellow castella with the white cream in the middle looked so delicious. I took a bite, and it was so soft and the cream wasn't too sweet, so I kept eating it non-stop.

It's the kind of taste you never get tired of, and we ate the whole thing together.

We also dipped the castella into the chocolate cream in between bites! It was so delicious.

An aquarium at TwoSome Place? I had to see it with my own eyes! I kept seeing it pop up on Instagram Reels, so I wanted to visit, but weekends were out of the question. So, I went on a weekday.

From the entrance to ordering, it was just like any other TwoSome Place.

However, the staff's response when ordering was unpleasant.

I wanted to use a gift certificate and a telecom discount, which was a bit complicated, so I asked the staff to take my order directly. But they told me to use the kiosk. Haha.

So, I asked if I couldn't order at the counter, and they just repeated, "Go to the kiosk."

It wasn't a busy time on a weekday, and there were ordering stations and POS systems available. I don't understand why they wouldn't take my order... If it was broken, they could have said it was broken, or if they were busy, they could have said they were busy. Why just repeat 'kiosk'?

What made it worse was the staff's expression (they looked annoyed). If I didn't have my baby with me, I would have just left...

I ordered through the kiosk and went down to the basement.

Anyway, I came to see the fish, so I was determined to see them!

When I went down, all the popular seats were already taken.

There are two spots with lots of fish: the area directly in front and the area around the corner on the opposite side.

Kids would really love it!

I saw in blog reviews that the basement could get a bit hot, so I planned to stay only briefly. However, it wasn't as hot as I expected, and there was no odor.

They also have baby chairs, which is great! (If it weren't for that one staff member, everything would have been perfect.)

The less popular seats don't have many fish. Haha.

They do pass by occasionally.

I ordered the petite size (the smallest one at ₩38,000), but it's not actually that small.

I was debating between pink and green, but my significant other suggested pink since we are having a baby girl.

When I picked it up, I was a little surprised to see it was a white and pink combination, but it was still so pretty, so I headed off to pick it up!

You can add a cooler bag for an extra charge, but we already had one, so we just paid for the cake.

Fleurz is located right in front of Bukhan Mountain Bogungmun Station. We drove there, parked briefly in front, and quickly picked up the cake before moving the car.

Today, I'm introducing "Hangwa Warak", a dessert cafe located between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station!

These days, many people are looking for unique cafes or spaces with a good atmosphere rather than franchise cafes, right?

I visited because it was a hot place on social media, and to conclude, I'm "200% sure I'll revisit!"

Traditional Korean sweets (Hangwa) combined with modern gelato and latte create a very fresh combination.

Hangwa Warak is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from both Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, making it easily accessible.

It's a perfect meeting place for office workers, students, and couples!

The exterior of the cafe is simple, but inside, it has a charming warm atmosphere that blends tradition and modernity appropriately. The wooden furniture and subtle lighting make it a great place to spend a relaxing time.

Traditional props are placed throughout the cafe, making it fun to look around. It feels like a space where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of Gangnam, which I like!

There are many types of desserts, so it is suitable for all ages. Perfect for gifts!

I tried these menu items this time, and I'll introduce them one by one!

The crispy exterior and chewy interior texture is charming!

It has a slightly fried texture, but it's not greasy at all, and the sweet Jocheong syrup is well absorbed, making it an addictive menu item.

Juak was good considering the quality and quantity, and I also liked the latte because of its rich flavor. Overall, considering the visuals, taste, and atmosphere, I think it's a cafe that's worth it!

They have a great selection of carefully crafted baked goods on display.

The breads were delicious, and the atmosphere was great, so I highly recommend Pink Oven if you are around Ttukseom Station!

Even though it was raining heavily and during a quieter time of day, there were still quite a few customers there.

This picture is of the first-floor tables, but they also have seating on the second and third floors, so be sure to check out the spacious seating areas!

I was planning to just buy some pastries and bread to take away, so I didn't go up to the second or third floors.

If you're eating at the bakery, they even have an oven inside—a cute, pink one, of course!

Having an oven in the bakery means you can enjoy your bread even more deliciously!

The bakery provides phone chargers and complimentary chilled drinks for customers who visit Pink Oven near Ttukseom Station.

They also conveniently provide knives and forks so you can easily cut and eat your bread.

When I cut it open, it was filled with plenty of custard cream.

It was so full that just one was enough to satisfy my cravings and banish any boredom.

And very filling too!

The outside is a sweet and crunchy streusel bread,

Inside, it was filled with banana cream and chocolate cream.

The chocolate flavor was a rich, decadent chocolate! Especially the chocolate flavor had chocolate chips and nuts inside.

The texture made it even more delicious!

I highly recommend Pink Oven near Ttukseom Station!

Oh! And the great service and friendly staff are a bonus.

Nangman Patjip is known by those who appreciate patbingsu. And yes, it was delicious as always!

They offer various kinds of shaved ice, but all of them come with a generous helping of red bean topping.

Even if you don't want shaved ice, they have a variety of ades, and the red bean slush also looked tasty.

It seems like they're no longer selling the glutinous rice cake skewers (찰떡구이). ????

I definitely want to try the red bean toast next time.

We decided on the Yogurt Patbingsu!

They said we didn't have to order one shaved ice per person.

The size is about right for one person, but the price is very reasonable, in the 7,000-8,000 KRW range.

I had it before and remembered it being delicious, so I tried it again and it was just as good.

I never would have thought that yogurt and red bean would go so well together,

but the red bean is just so delicious that it was a combination of something delicious + something delicious.

It was so good that we quickly finished it and decided to get another one: Black Sesame Patbingsu!

Unlike the trendy black sesame flavors these days that are finely ground with just a hint of flavor,

this one had sesame seeds sprinkled on top.

I enjoyed the texture of the sesame seeds, but it wasn't really my style.

Still, black sesame and red bean are a flavor combination that's hard to go wrong with.

The red bean itself is just perfectly sweet and incredibly delicious,

that I wanted to try everything: the red bean slush, the red bean toast, the green tea red bean shaved ice, everything!

We were only there for a short 30 minutes,

but there were 4 customers getting takeout and 2 groups dining in.

Is it worth making a special trip to Jeju Island for this?

When I travel, I tend to look for special places and tourist attractions,

so I probably wouldn't choose red bean shaved ice on a trip, but

this place is really

perfect for taking out and eating at your accommodation.

Instead of ordering Yoajeong for dessert when you come here,

eat red bean shaved ice.

The sweet red bean soup (danpatjuk), which they sell from October to May,

must be delicious too.

I'll have to come back and try everything on the menu!

It's even more romantic at night.

Yogurt Patbingsu

Black Sesame Patbingsu

You'll find lots of tourists and handmade crafts, so it's a fun place to explore before enjoying a cup of tea at a cute cafe. I visit here a lot.

These days, when it's so hot, I find myself craving *bingsu* (shaved ice) more than coffee. So, I visited Gabaerangsom Cafe near Ssamziegil, and had a delightful strawberry fruit bingsu topped with three kinds of fresh fruit.

Usually, when I eat regular ice bingsu, my head starts to hurt halfway through and I get so cold that I can't finish it. But Gabaerangsom's bingsu is made with milk-based snowflake ice. It has the right amount of sweetness and a milky, nutty flavor, so I happily finished the whole bowl!

There are many cafes around Ssamziegil. However, Gabaerangsom, which I'm introducing to you, is a cafe where you can find beautiful cakes and handmade desserts made by the owner.

I saw photos of them on Instagram and they looked so pretty! You can also reserve whole cakes for special occasions.

The cafe occupies the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, plus the rooftop, so you can choose where you want to sit!

The cakes in the showcase look as luxurious as department store cakes. I highly recommend Gabaerangsom Cafe in Insadong.

They also sell a variety of freshly baked breads.

The menu is displayed for easy viewing. There were so many types of bingsu, it was hard to choose, but I went with the strawberry fruit bingsu topped with seasonal fruits!

The second floor, where you order, has a grand chandelier, creating a sophisticated atmosphere.

The cafe's interior on the 2nd floor has a great view.

The lattice windows create a sense of openness, and the natural light that streams in is lovely.

The 2nd floor has an antique interior with a comforting feel. You can sit by the window and enjoy the view while eating your bingsu.

There is a self-service bar in the center of the hall.

There are various plants on the wooden stairs leading to the 3rd floor.

The 3rd floor is decorated with rattan lamps and a hammock, creating a resort-like atmosphere.

There's a photo zone with a large mirror. The window has curtains with delicate prints.

There are blankets in a basket, so you can use them if you get too cold.

The 4th floor has a more chill vibe.

There's a staircase leading to the rooftop, so I went up. The lighting is beautiful, and the panoramic view of Insadong made me feel refreshed!

You can see Inwangsan and Bukaksan Mountains in the distance, as well as the rooftop garden of Ssamziegil.

After looking around all the floors, I liked the 3rd floor the best! When the buzzer rang, I went to get my bingsu.

Gabaerangsom's strawberry fruit bingsu has picture-perfect colors.

I ate the bingsu with the strawberries. The colors are so pretty!

The kiwi and orange were all sweet.

Underneath the fresh fruit was the snowflake ice, which looked like it would crunch like real snow.

Both the fresh fruit and the snowflake ice were delicious at Gabaerangsom Cafe in Insadong.

Let's finish off the summer with sweet and refreshing fruit bingsu!

I heard the restaurant next door is also used as a wedding venue.

I was lucky enough to get a seat with a view of the large windows.

The garden, with its fountain and pond, was well-landscaped, and I felt relaxed just looking at it.

It was a little hot, but walking in the outdoor garden was also healing.

I ordered the Mentaiko Croffle and Peach Cake, and I highly recommend the Mentaiko Croffle!

It's moderately salty and savory, making it addictive.

The drinks were a bit pricey, and the taste was average.

After a trip to Gangneung, I stopped by Momendor in Wonju for a relaxing break. It felt like we were driving deeper and deeper, wondering when the cafe would appear, but finally, we arrived.

I had always dreamed of seeing a field densely packed with hydrangeas. At Momendor in Wonju, that dream came true!

Since it's a garden cafe, the bloom status is crucial, right? My visit was on Monday, August 18th, in the late afternoon. The hydrangeas seemed to have been in full bloom since early August and were still going strong.

There were hints of pink between the petals, but they looked like they'd easily last until the end of August. The parking space in front of the cafe seemed reasonably large, but it wasn't as spacious as the parking lot of a huge cafe.

When I visited, there were a few seats available, but I wondered if it would be the same on weekends. Since it was a Monday, there was no waiting, and some seats were open. I took pictures when there weren't many people around. Haha.

Based on the counter, there's a space where you can enjoy the green rice paddies instead of hydrangeas, and then there's a space connected to the hydrangea garden. There were also large tables, so families who came for family trips were able to relax comfortably.

At first, we were seated where we couldn't see the hydrangea garden very well, but while I went out to take pictures, my boyfriend moved us to the spot with the prettiest view! Haha.

As expected of a hydrangea cafe, they had hydrangea tea, as well as sandwiches and croffles. The croffles looked quite delicious.

Bakery

It was around 4 PM, so many of the baked goods were already gone. I came to see the hydrangeas, so it was okay if I didn't get to look at the desserts! But I couldn't resist the last few cakes that were left. Haha.

You can't see the hydrangeas up close without using the cafe. From the front of the cafe, you can only tell that there's a hydrangea garden. There's also a photo zone with artificial wisteria, benches, and walking paths.

You can go to the hydrangea garden through the cafe. The entire garden was filled with white hydrangeas, but there was one row that was a romantic pink.

Even if they bloom white, they can turn various colors like pink or lime depending on the soil.

If it becomes a pink hydrangea garden later on, that would be wonderful too! It would be nice to see pink hydrangeas in September!

After ordering, our food was delayed. According to the receipt, it came out 25 minutes late.

Even though it felt quiet because it was Monday, the food was slow and the return area was messy. Seeing the staff preparing drinks without tying up their long hair was also a bit disappointing in terms of hygiene. However, the rest of the space was well-organized.

We ate and then went out to take pictures.

Sweet Corn Cake: ₩7,800

The cream and the cake were really soft with a subtle sweetness of corn and I like the corn kernels that were chewy in the middle.

The taste of corn was natural and not too sweet, which was nice.

Peach Earl Grey Roll Cake: ₩7,800

The custard cream and the Earl Grey cake had a great taste and aroma, and the peach compote inside was a nice touch. I would recommend it if you like Earl Grey.

Americano: ₩6,000 / Hydrangea Tea: ₩6,000

I was going to have the Sweet Corn Cake and Corn Latte, but I was curious about the Hydrangea Tea, so I switched to Hydrangea Tea. Haha.

It tasted like a light green tea, but it was soft and subtly sweet? It was more charming because the sweetness of sugarcane was added.

The Iced Americano had a slight acidity and then was full of savory flavor, which was delicious.

We ate and went out to take pictures.

It looks better if you take pictures so that artificial objects like telephone poles don't appear. It's also good to have a partner and a tripod who will work hard to take pictures. The hydrangea path is beautiful.

But it was funny when I took pictures wearing Crocs. So, I'm taking pictures where the hydrangeas are hanging down to the floor like this, but I don't really like this composition either. I want to look delicate.

Should we take pictures with each other stuck in the aisles between the hydrangeas?

I think it looks better if the hydrangeas are overlapped!

The height of the European hydrangea shrubs was almost 140-150cm. I'm short, so I found a lower place to take pictures, and my tall boyfriend dominated the hydrangeas like this.

It's pretty to take pictures standing up, but it's also pretty to take pictures squatting down. Haha. It was still a bit hot around 5 PM.

Set up the tripod well in a place where the Crocs are hidden and snap a picture!

I also took a back shot for my blog. Lol. I was so satisfied with the beautiful hydrangea garden.

It was the end of a tiring trip, but I went without skipping it, and I left thinking that I did so well.

From now on, instead of just looking for rest stops when I go to Gangwon-do, I'm going to stop by a great Wonju cafe! Yay!

This was my first impression of Coheart Coffee. I saw it while walking along the street and wondered: is it a house? A studio? Or a cafe? It was only when I saw people inside through the window that I realized it was a cafe and eagerly followed the grassy path right in.

As soon as I stepped inside Coheart Coffee, I was struck by how beautiful the interior was, so let's start with an introduction to the inside!

This is the view of the first floor from the second floor. It's clean yet cozy, and the windows on all sides give it an airy and open feel. It reminded me of a greenhouse, like the one at Changgyeonggung Palace, so it felt like entering a warm and inviting space.

The first floor bakery corner had bread and pastries, as well as coffee beans and coffee accessories for sale.

If you go inside on the first floor and look to the side, you'll see tables located slightly below the main floor. Because the tables aren't immediately visible on the same level as the ordering counter, the cafe feels more spacious and relaxed.

The second floor had tables as well as an outdoor terrace. The terrace would be the perfect spot to enjoy coffee on a bright day.

On this day, I ordered an Americano (4,900 won). They offered both a nutty and a bright, acidic version, so I ordered one of each.

I don't usually drink coffee with a lot of acidity, but Coheart Coffee's version was surprisingly delicious!

I also ordered bread, which wasn't originally planned: Salt Bread for 3,300 won.

I wasn't expecting much, but it was so good! The powder sprinkled on top, resembling Injeolmi powder, seemed to be salt. (And the bread was big, too!)

As the evening deepened, around 10 PM or 10:30 PM, the lighting became even cozier.

Coheart Coffee's operating hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM. If it were closer to my house, I would go there every Friday and stay up until dawn!

Even the exterior is so pretty!

The railway track vibe is a bonus.

There's plenty of parking space right in front of the cafe, so even though it's not in the main location of Okgil-dong, it's easy to visit if you have a car!

I stumbled upon something on Instagram… even though I don't usually watch Reels, I found myself captivated by Reels of ice cream being made.

Under the name 'Doctor Ice Cream,' someone was crafting gelato in what seemed like their workshop, and the Reels were so addictive that I watched them over and over.

Apparently, this person worked in a Parisian restaurant and fell in love with ice cream… They took an ice cream class in Pennsylvania and introduced themselves as someone preparing to launch a brand in 2025.

The Reels naturally gained traction, leading to collaborations with several brands. Finally! News broke that they were opening a store in Haebangchon!!!

Even updates on the construction progress were posted, but… the location turned out to be in Ichon-dong, not Haebangchon…

A young entrepreneur who was supposed to open in Haebangchon suddenly appears on the main street in Ichon-dong, in the Starbucks line?

The location is right across from a crosswalk, so the rent must be astronomical…

From Haebangchon to Ichon-dong all of a sudden…?

Upon visiting, the actual owner seemed different. Other blogs suggested that someone might have invested or that they opened with consulting.

I felt that way too! The recipes, marketing, and online presence are still owned by the original 'Doctor Ice Cream,' but the actual major shareholder of 123 Gelato is someone else.

The actual owner of 123 Gelato is apparently an Ichon-dong runner who transitioned to gelato, which seems to be the case. Doctor Ice Cream still visits from time to time.

Was the strategic Reels campaign from the beginning intended as a lead-up for a gelato franchise?

After watching Doctor Ice Cream's Reels for months, I visited with 300% expectations.

I heard there were long lines since the opening, but it was empty when I went for an early weekday visit.

Inside

Sure enough… Doctor Ice Cream's videos were prominently displayed inside!

They used red as an accent color, and everything from branding and design to interior was prepared from the beginning.

Since Doctor Ice Cream gained popularity on Instagram, they could have opened in Haebangchon and still had lines, even without all the fancy stuff in Ichon-dong.

It seems an investor got involved, and 123 Gelato is starting perfectly.

Even if a gelato place is delicious, it's hard to carry it around in 30-degree weather if there's no seating.

There's plenty of seating inside and near the entrance, comfortably accommodating about five groups.

I already knew Doctor Ice Cream wouldn't be there, so I knew the actual operator was someone else. But if you're visiting just based on Instagram, don't expect to see Doctor Ice Cream…

Even though Doctor Ice Cream created the recipes, I was worried about what if the investor and actual operator are different. When I arrived, there was one person who was so incredibly kind and enthusiastic about introducing the menu and offering samples. He looked like the owner!

The only downside is that you can't get two flavors in a waffle cone ㅠㅠ I always eat gelato in a cone, and I like having multiple flavors, so I wish I could have three flavors in a cone ㅠ You can't get two flavors in a cone.

From vanilla, chocolate, matcha, and pistachio to the usual gelato flavors you always see.

They also had unique options like barley tea, chestnut caramel, and amaretto.

Adding toppings like crumble, cookie pieces, coconut chips, and popcorn costs ₩1,500.

The unique selling points of 123 Gelato are the ability to customize your ice cream with toppings and the waffle cones!!

Why can't I get two flavors in a waffle cone? Sob sob.

I gave up on the waffle cone and chose two flavors.

Compared to the usual price of ₩5,500 for two flavors of gelato, 123 Gelato feels a bit pricey, reflecting the Ichon-dong area prices.

How was the taste of 123 Gelato?!?

Since it's gelato made with high-quality ingredients, it can't be bad…

The taste is good, and the premium flavors fill your mouth, but… is it worth waiting in line for 20 minutes?

It's not worth waiting in line for.

Maybe it's because I had 300% expectations after seeing the Instagram posts… but it's not quite that good.

Don't misunderstand after reading this review.

It's delicious, but not worth lining up for.

There are already many great gelato places like The Martin in Seoul Forest, Gelato's KAIST Nokgi Jeon-e, the hidden gem Koconism in Chungmuro, Lady Gaga of the gelato world Akemi, and Scooper, which is always packed even on weekdays.

With more and more gelato places opening, if there's a gelato place within 30 minutes, go there.

If 123 Gelato is within 30 minutes, it's worth a visit.

Since it's a cafe with a drive-in theater, parking is quite ample!

I wanted to visit a large cafe with delicious bakery items after a long time. I visited during a weekday afternoon, and I was happy to find that there were plenty of seats and the atmosphere was not noisy.

It got quite crowded towards the evening!

You can put the bread you want on a tray and pay at the counter. There's a microwave available behind the display area, so you can heat up your bread easily.

​

There's also a self-packing station, so you can freely pack any leftover bread to take home!

​

Maybe because it was a quiet time, there weren't a ton of breads being made, but the variety was still good, so I picked out about three.

For drinks, I ordered Earl Grey Milk Tea and the summer seasonal menu item, Ocean Breeze!

My pick is the Mentaiko Mayonnaise Salt Bread! Lately, I've been craving breads with a lot of rich flavors. I keep failing at my diet~~

The Ocean Breeze was so pretty that I couldn't resist taking a picture! The mint flavor is strong, so people who dislike mint might not enjoy it. My friend wanted something refreshing, so it was a good choice for her!

I know there are so many pictures, haha… The space itself is large and well-decorated, so photos turn out beautifully both indoors and outdoors.

Especially when the sun started to set, the photos taken outdoors were so pretty. The inside is also pretty because of the large windows that let in a lot of sunlight. I highly recommend taking lots and lots of pictures!

Cafe Calliope has a wide variety of breads and cakes, and it doesn't have the stiff feel of a typical large cafe. It's a great place for dates or family outings.

While searching, we found a cafe with "Ghibli vibes"!

Every visitor was saying, "Ghibli! Ghibli!"

We, the Yummy Couple, can't resist our curiosity~

So, we visited right away!

We visited after lunch on a weekend.

A car is essential!!

It would be very difficult to get here by public transportation.
