The National Sejong Library opened in December 2013 and features a comprehensive resource room, policy resource room, children's resource room, seminar rooms, lecture halls, exhibition space, a café, and relaxation areas.
Anyone can utilize these facilities.
Operating Hours:
Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 21:00
Saturday to Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00
Children's Resource Room: 09:00 - 18:00
Holidays: Regular closure on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
As a visitor without a membership, I was pleasantly surprised to freely read and study at the National Sejong Library.
Parking is available from 08:00 to 21:00, but it is not operational on holidays.
Library materials can be borrowed with a limit of 5 items for 14 days, with one 1-week extension allowed.
The library has four floors with various resources and amenities:
Basement 1: Children's Resource Room, Story Room, Picture Book Land, Nursing Room
1st Floor: Art Resource Room, Laptop Reading Area, Rest Area (with vending machines), and various multimedia rooms
2nd Floor: Policy Resource Room, Multimedia Corner, General Resource Room, Digital Reading Area, Newspaper Corner
3rd Floor: Conference Room, Meeting Rooms, Lecture Rooms
4th Floor: Rest Area, Sky Garden, Café Il Maggio
In the Children's Resource Room, there is a diverse selection of books suitable for kids, including picture books and English books, making it a popular spot for parents on weekends.
Before borrowing books, you can disinfect them, ensuring cleanliness.
The library is equipped with numerous tables and chairs, though it can get crowded, reflecting its popularity in Sejong.
Additionally, there are free PCs available for use and a dedicated area for laptop users, along with a printer for quick copying and printing needs.
Copy prices are as follows: A4 - Black & White 50 KRW, Color 500 KRW; A3 - Black & White 90 KRW, Color 1,000 KRW.
Printing prices: A4 - Black & White 60 KRW, Color 500 KRW; A3 - Black & White 120 KRW, Color 1,000 KRW.
Entering the first-floor rest area, you can find vending machines for snacks while reading.
Lockers are available to store your belongings conveniently, with usage hours from 09:00 to 21:00 on weekdays and 09:00 to 18:00 on weekends.
