Welcome to Yanggu! You can enjoy various experiences and attractions throughout the year at Yanggu Arboretum, which features a four-season sledding area!
Located in the scenic Daamsan area, Yanggu Arboretum showcases different landscapes with each season. In winter, you can enjoy the beautiful snowy scenery while sledding!

Operating Hours: 9 AM - 6 PM (Closed on Mondays, sledding area closes at 5 PM)
Yanggu Arboretum is considered the top attraction among the nine scenic spots of Yanggu. It is the first public arboretum in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, featuring over 1,500 bonsai, around 90 species of trees, 170 types of flowering plants, and six endangered plant species.
The arboretum also houses the DMZ Wildlife Ecology Hall, where you can see a total of 97 species and 153 specimens of wildlife, including goats and foxes. It’s a wonderful space to learn about nature and ecology!
In addition to various activities in the Wood Culture Experience Center, there are play facilities for children, making it a great destination for families.
Don't miss the four-season sledding area, which is popular in both winter and summer! You can enjoy unlimited sledding as long as you have an entrance ticket.
The sledding area is well marked, making it easy to find. Please check the safety guidelines before using the sledding facilities.
The sleds are available in tube formats for both children and adults. The slope provides a thrilling experience, and even adults find it enjoyable!
The arboretum offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area while sledding, with a breathtaking snowy landscape in sight. After your indoor exploration, make sure to stroll along the outdoor trails, which are adorned with various sculptures that make for great photo opportunities.
The Wood Culture Experience Center offers numerous activities utilizing wood, with specific operating hours for different seasons. Some programs may have a fee, so it’s advisable to check in advance.
