Welcome!

As we navigate our busy lives, there are moments when we yearn for a little tranquility in our hearts.

Would you like to add a touch of artistic emotion to your life, soothing your weary soul at the end of a bleak day?

We are pleased to announce the August exhibition at the Deogyang District Office Free Gallery 'Dream'!

Located within the Deogyang District Office, this community-centered cultural space has been thoughtfully created in an underutilized area.

Gallery 'Dream' features two exhibition halls along the second-floor corridor, providing a valuable platform for local artists and emerging talents.

It serves as a cozy retreat for residents, offering a place to comfortably explore art in their daily lives.

The Deogyang District Office also has ample parking space, with one hour of free parking available. This makes it easy for visitors to stop by without time constraints, whether for administrative tasks or to enjoy the gallery.

On the second floor, you will find a comfortable and inviting 'Gallery Corner' where you can take a break while enjoying the artworks.

How about grabbing a cup of coffee from the affordable café on the first floor and leisurely strolling through the gallery to appreciate the art?

Recently, I visited Gallery 'Dream', which is currently hosting a solo exhibition titled 'On the Way' by artist Mo Yu-sook. This exhibition beautifully captures the fleeting moments and emotions we encounter in our daily lives through warm paintings.

It invites viewers to reflect on their own life journeys thoughtfully.

The watercolor paintings, with their clear and subtle hues, bring a sense of calm to the viewer's heart.

Particularly captivating were the works that depict the nostalgic scenes of the old Seoul Station square and alleyways in front of long-standing supermarkets, capturing the essence of the city.

As you gaze at the delicately rendered alleyway scenes, you may feel transported back to cherished childhood memories, evoking a warm and cozy feeling.

After the heartfelt exhibition by Mo Yu-sook concludes, from August 18 to August 28, we will host the '2026 Goyang City Adult Literacy Education Poetry Exhibition'.

Participants from seven institutions who actively engaged in lifelong learning and adult literacy programs will showcase over fifty heartfelt poems and illustrated works they created.

This exhibition will present touching stories of the seniors who have recently rekindled their passion for learning, showcasing the joy that education brings.

Gallery 'Dream' provides invaluable opportunities for local artists to express themselves while enriching the cultural experiences of citizens.

Everyone is welcome to visit for free, and if you are a citizen or an artist interested in exhibiting, please reach out to the Deogyang District Office.

Come and enjoy the diverse artworks that warm your heart at the Deogyang District Office!

Thank you.
