Welcome to the Purple Island Lavender Festival
Hello from Sinan County.
This May, we will host the largest French Lavender Festival in the country at our representative tourist site, Purple Island.
Since its inception in 2023, the Purple Island Lavender Festival has reached its fourth edition this year.
It has garnered immense love from both domestic and international tourists.
By 2025, we expect to surpass 2 million cumulative visitors, solidifying its status as a premier tourist attraction in South Korea.
In celebration of this year's festival, Sinan County is committed to providing an even more special experience.
We have renovated the lavender park walkways and significantly expanded photo zones where visitors can freely take pictures amidst the flowers.
We have prepared a beautiful space for everyone to capture their best moments among the purple lavenders.
The festival will run from May 15 to May 25 for 11 days.
The opening ceremony will feature a lavender-themed fashion show by the Jeonnam Senior Model Association, offering visitors a unique spectacle.
Additionally, Purple Island will showcase a seasonal display of purple flowers, starting with lavender in May, followed by willow herb in June and asters in October.
We aim to become a year-round destination where people want to linger.
Sinan County will continue to strive for beautiful island tourism that harmonizes nature and humanity, providing unforgettable memories and healing experiences for our visitors.
