Traveling from Cheonan to Seoul offers various options, but many commuters often default to Seoul Station or the Express Bus Terminal. However, if your destination is Jamsil(home to Lotte World(롯데월드) and Lotte World Tower)there is a much more convenient secret: the intercity bus route that stops directly at Jamsil Station before reaching Dong Seoul Terminal.

For those who have lived in Cheonan for years without knowing this, taking the intercity bus can save significant time and walking distance. By choosing the right terminal in Cheonan, you can get off at 'Jamsil Central' and be just steps away from major attractions. This guide breaks down the best ways to navigate this route efficiently.

Whenever I visit Seoul from Cheonan, I usually go to Seoul Station or the Express Bus Terminal.

However, this time I had to go to Jamsil, so I booked a ticket from Dong Seoul Terminal.

As I was heading towards Dong Seoul Terminal, I noticed people getting off at Jamsil Station.

Having lived in Cheonan for 10 years, I was shocked to learn this for the first time.

I thought I should share this information in case others are unaware like I was.

Here are the ways to travel from Cheonan to Seoul:

1. Intercity Bus (Dong Seoul, Jamsil, Garak Market)

2. Express Bus (Seoul Express Terminal)

3. KTX, SRT (Cheonan-Asan Station)

4. Mugunghwa Train (Cheonan Station)

With these four options, it's best to check your desired location in Seoul and get off at the nearest station.

To visit Jamsil, I took the bus from Cheonan Terminal heading to Jamsil Central.

At Cheonan Express Terminal, there is a direct bus to Seoul Express Terminal.

If you board at Cheonan Intercity Terminal, you will head towards Garak Market and Jamsil Station.

Don't get confused!

If you follow my instructions, you can easily board the bus.

Let me explain in detail from here.

When you get off at Jamsil Station, there is a bus stop located between exits 6 and 7, making it easy to catch your bus.

My husband and I always take the bus or train when visiting Seoul.

The time difference is significant.

Buses run on dedicated lanes, so it takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Dong Seoul, which saves a lot of time.

I remember getting lost on the day of my trip because I couldn't find the exact location.

When you exit from either exit 6 or 7 of Jamsil Station, cross the pedestrian crossing to reach the bus stop in the center.

Make sure to search for 'Jamsil Central' instead of just 'Jamsil Station' when booking your bus ticket.

I booked my ticket using T-money GO.

While regular buses are cheaper, we opted for a deluxe seat because it was the only option available at the time, and it was very comfortable.

If you see Kyobo Bookstore in front of you at the bus stop, you're in the right place.

Check the electronic board for confirmation.

The bus number 1309 runs between Cheonan and Dong Seoul Terminal.

Bus number 1312 operates between Dong Seoul and Asan Intercity Terminal.

The electronic board displays the schedule, so you can board with confidence.

Did you know that bus stop seats in Seoul can be heated?

Various locations such as Ansan Terminal, Pyeongtaek Intercity Terminal, and Incheon Terminal also have services to Dong Seoul Terminal.

Before heading towards Gangbyeon, the buses pass by Jamsil Station.

For those visiting Jamsil, including Lotte World and Lotte Tower, getting off at Jamsil Central Station makes it much closer and easier to walk.

It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from Cheonan to Jamsil.

We had a very convenient walk to our destination.
