After visiting Sinjeong Lake, I want to share my experience of fully embracing the charm of a clear day.

It was such a beautiful day that it will remain in my heart for a long time.

Can it be this blue and beautiful?

On a day when migratory birds frolicked and the metasequoia trees adorned the landscape beautifully, I enjoyed the happiness of a solo trip.

1. Basic Information

Location: Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, Jomyang-dong 34

Operating Hours: Open 24 hours

Parking: Very spacious and free

- Stroller and wheelchair rentals available (1st floor of the management office, ID required)

- No bicycles, motorcycles, inline skates, smoking, cooking, tent setup, or sunshade installation allowed. Pets are allowed on a leash only.

2. Getting There

By Car:

- From Gyeongbu Expressway, take Cheonan IC - National Road 21 (20 km) - Onyang Hot Springs - National Road 21 (3 km) - Onggo Intersection - Destination

- From Seo-Pyeongtaek IC on the West Coast Expressway - National Road 39 (28 km) - Onyang Hot Springs - National Road 21 (3 km) - Onggo Intersection - Destination

By Public Transport:

- Bus 600, 610, 614: Sinjeong Tourist Area - Asan Indoor Swimming Pool - Bangchuk Hyundai Apartments - Onyang High School - Onyang Hot Springs Station - Onyang Terminal

- Bus 402, 403, 404: Sinjeong Tourist Area - Lifelong Learning Center - Jugong Complex 2 - Eui Jeong Front - Yonghwa High School - Yonghwa Middle School - Jueun Apartments - Onyang Terminal

I took a taxi from Onyang Hot Springs Station which took about 7 minutes and cost around 6,000 won. On the way back, I took a bus which took about 15 minutes to reach the station, making it very accessible.

3. Exploring the Area

The weather was so beautiful that it made me really happy.

The spacious area features various cultural facilities, including a live sketch and media art hall, an outdoor music hall, an aquatic plant exhibition, a musical fountain, a sculpture park, walking paths, a statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, a statue of the Peace Girl, and an exhibition hall for Asan's anti-Japanese independence movement.

In summer, it seems like you can enjoy the heat at the water play area, and in autumn, you can leisurely enjoy the autumn cultural programs at the Namsan Neighborhood Park picnic area.

4. Walking Along the Path

As I walked along the path, I was captivated by the stunning natural scenery, stopping intermittently to take it all in.

The beautiful scenery of the lake sparkling in the sunlight and the sight of ducks swimming freely were mesmerizing.

During winter, many citizens come out to exercise or take peaceful walks, enjoying their time.

Even winter, often considered desolate, is this beautiful. I wonder how much more beautiful the other seasons are.

I made a promise to visit each season at least once.

I enjoyed the unique features of the Light Sound Garden and appreciated the beautiful sunlight reflecting on the silver grass fields.

I also visited the goat and rabbit enclosure, which provided a comforting atmosphere.

5. Conclusion

Regardless of the season, it offers stunning natural scenery and various cultural facilities, providing visitors with true relaxation and happiness.

Even in winter, which is often perceived as barren, it showcases such beautiful landscapes, making me feel excited about how much more beautiful the other seasons must be. I left feeling delighted to have found another favorite travel destination.
